Upon hearing this, Jiang Linglan immediately walked over to the group, and saw Professor Huang picking up a syringe and drawing a small amount of white liquid from a small container.

Without hesitation, Li Yiyi refused, “No, I’m not going. I’m busy, and he’s from R country. I don’t like people from R country. No, I should say I hate you R country people.”

Li Yiyi coldly interrupted, “Shut your mouth. You R country people have no right to talk about us. Besides, what gives you the right to tell us to look ahead? Ito Jing listened to her words in silence. Once she finished her rant, he said, “Dr. Li, what would it take for you to agree to help Mr. Tanaka Ichiro at the hospital? Just tell us, and we’ll try our best to meet your conditions.”

“I don’t have any conditions, so please don’t come looking for me again.” With that, she didn’t even look at them again and pushed her bike past them, heading toward the military district gate.

As soon as she walked away, the man standing behind Ito Jing walked up to him and suggested, “Mr. Ito, she’s just a Chinese woman. Do we really need to be so polite to her? We could just grab her and take her to the hospital.”

Ito Jing immediately turned around and slapped him hard across the face.

A loud “slap” echoed through the quiet night.

The man froze for a moment before quickly lowering his head.

Ito Jing coldly looked at the man and said, “It’s because of people like you that our relationship with this country is becoming more and more tense.”

The man didn’t dare say another word, obediently standing behind him like a wooden puppet.

Ito Jing stood there for a while before turning and leaving.

Meanwhile, Li Yiyi had arrived back at the family compound.

Once home, she noticed the atmosphere was unusually joyful, especially with the three elderly people. Their faces were all beaming with smiles.

When the family sat down to dinner, Li Yiyi couldn’t hold back any longer and asked, “What’s going on today? Did something good happen? Your smiles are almost blinding me.”

At that moment, Jiang Hong also put down his chopsticks and nodded seriously, “That’s right. Dad, Mom, Huang Yi, you three didn’t happen to find money on the road today, did you?”

The three elders looked at each other, and their smiles grew even brighter.

“Finding money isn’t something to be happy about. If we found money, then someone must’ve lost it. I’d rather not find any money,” Jiang’s mother shook her head.

Although it was just one and a half yuan, for the three elderly people, it was money they had earned themselves, and they were thrilled.

That evening, the family enjoyed the happiest dinner they had in a long time.
