Chapter 75: The Fatal Blow

The box opened, revealing a watch lying quietly inside.

It wasn’t hers.

A sudden chill ran down Bai Rulin’s spine, her face turning pale. How could this be?

Su Yi let out a cold laugh, asking, “Well? Found it? This watch isn’t yours, is it?”

Bai Rulin clenched the box tightly, her teeth gritting. “This is my watch! The one I lost!”

The crowd outside couldn’t see clearly, they only heard that the watch had been found.

An uproar immediately erupted.

Su Yi couldn’t believe how shameless she could be, so she stared at her and asked again, “Do you want to take a closer look? Are you sure it’s your watch?”

A flicker of panic crossed Bai Rulin’s eyes, but she quickly nodded resolutely, “It’s my watch! That’s right, could it be I don’t even recognize my own watch?”

Su Yi turned her gaze to Qin Yunfeng, “Comrade Qin, Comrade Bai says this watch is hers, you come take a look too!”

Qin Yunfeng stepped forward and glanced at the box in Bai Rulin’s hand.

Su Yi let out a cold laugh and turned to face the crowd watching the spectacle.

“Where did you buy this watch?”

Bai Rulin curled her lips, “Of course I bought it in Beijing, they don’t sell them here.”
