Chapter 91: He’s Been Waiting for Your Call

 

The moment the words left her lips, Zhang Guilan suddenly gasped for breath.

She slowly opened her eyes, “Where am I?”

Su Yi excitedly replied, “Mother, you’re finally awake! You’re in the hospital. You fainted just now, you scared us to death.”

The doctor, seeing she was awake, checked her again.

“Let’s give her some blood pressure medication first, and we’ll observe her in the hospital.”

After the doctor left, Su Yi volunteered to call her older brother and sister-in-law.

Ye Xiaowu and Ye Nuannuan had been staying at home waiting for the phone call for the past two days.

When the familiar and cool “Hello” came from the other end of the receiver, Su Yi suddenly felt her heart skip a beat.

Although it had only been a day, it felt like a lifetime ago.

The other side paused for a moment after hearing her voice, and his tone was clearly more urgent than before.

“Did you get back safely yesterday?”

“Yeah, I did.”

Su Yi smiled, “It’s okay.”

Zhou Jinchuan thought something had happened to Su Yi and hurriedly picked up the phone.

It turned out to be a call from his family in Beijing, urging him to return home for the Spring Festival. They had already arranged several blind dates for him.

They insisted that he must go back and meet them.
