70s Delicate Wife is Too Flirtatious, the Rough Country Man Blushes Chapter 275

Chapter 275: Did They Cut Off  His Ears?

“Aunt, here’s some candy for you.” Tianyang tossed the sandbag from her hands, quickly running to Su Niannian’s side. She pulled a piece of candy out of her pocket and handed it to Su Niannian.

“Thank you, Tianyang.” Su Niannian smiled as she accepted the candy, then reached out to pat Tianyang’s head.

From the very beginning, when Tianyang was scared of Su Niannian’s proximity, to now actively approaching her and even giving her the candy she cherished, this change was quite remarkable.

“No need to thank me. There’s still plenty of candy left.” Tianyang flashed a simple smile, then ran off and returned to playing on her own.

Su Niannian sat on the small wooden stool in the courtyard, not far from Tianyang, simply watching her play.

Her hand, without thinking, rested gently on her own lower abdomen, and a sweet smile lingered on her lips.

This action went unnoticed by anyone.

Once the kitchen was tidied up, Gu Nan came out and led Su Niannian to their room.

Meanwhile, Gu Zhi was in the kitchen, preparing medicine for Gu Zhendong using a medicinal jar.

Gu Zhendong was in the courtyard, watching as Gu Ningning played with Yangyang.

Everything was so peaceful and beautiful.

Outside Gu Nan’s house, Sun Siyuan stood at a distance, watching the scene at Gu Nan’s home.

For the past few days, Sun Siyuan had been looking for an opportunity, waiting for Su Niannian to be alone.

However, finding such an opportunity was proving to be quite difficult.

Helpless, Sun Siyuan finally decided to leave.

Inside Gu Nan’s room.

Su Niannian leaned against the wall, with a pillow behind her, comfortably resting.

Gu Nan sat cross-legged on the earthen bed, gently massaging Su Niannian’s calves.

“I’m really not tired,” Su Niannian said to Gu Nan.

But Gu Nan still thought she might be tired, so he continued to softly massage her legs.

“If you spoil me this much, you’ll end up spoiling me rotten!” Su Niannian said with a smile.

“That’s exactly what I want, to spoil you so much that no one else can stand you. That way, you’ll always be mine,” Gu Nan said softly, his voice tender.

Hearing those words, Su Niannian couldn’t help but feel her heart soften.

She climbed up from the earthen bed and sat in Gu Nan’s arms.

“No matter what happens, I’ll always be yours,” Su Niannian said with a bright, happy smile.

Gu Nan held her tightly in response.

In that moment, Gu Nan even felt as if he wanted to merge Su Niannian into his very being.

The two of them leaned into each other, feeling the warmth of each other’s bodies, listening to each other’s heartbeats.

Utterly content.

Until a faint noise came from outside.

“Hm?” Gu Nan caught the sound—it didn’t seem too far away.

“Probably some drama going on again. Want to go check it out?” Su Niannian looked eager, her expression full of gossip-loving curiosity.

Gu Nan smiled helplessly—his little girl really did seem fascinated by this sort of thing.

“Alright.”

He responded softly and let go of Su Niannian.

Su Niannian quickly got up, put on her shoes, and slung a military green crossbody bag over her shoulder.

Gu Nan could only follow along, a bit resigned.

What else could he do? Whatever his little girl wanted to do, he’d just accompany her.

By the time Gu Nan and Su Niannian stepped outside, Gu Zhi and Gu Ningning were already standing at the courtyard gate.

“Mother, what’s going on outside?” Su Niannian asked Gu Zhi curiously.

“It seems something’s going on over at Educated Youth Lu’s place… a lot of people have gathered there,” Gu Zhi replied, her own expression showing a mix of curiosity and concern.

But she was still decocting herbal medicine in the kitchen—she couldn’t just leave it to go watch the commotion. That medicine was meant for her own son, and her son’s well-being was the most important thing in the world.

Gossip could wait; it wasn’t urgent.

“I’ll go take a look!” Su Niannian declared as she grabbed Gu Nan and headed out.

“Gu Nan, keep an eye on Niannian. Don’t let anything happen to her,” Gu Zhi quickly reminded him.

Gu Nan nodded.

He would never let anything happen to his little girl.

Su Niannian pulled Gu Nan along, hurrying in the direction of the growing noise and crowd.

It was the time when most people should have been heading off to work.

But around Lu Xingguang’s house, a surprising number of villagers had gathered.

Su Niannian tugged Gu Nan’s hand, trying to squeeze through the crowd, when she spotted Auntie Zhou standing not far ahead.

“Auntie Zhou!” Su Niannian quickly called out when she recognized her.

“Oh! I’m here,” Auntie Zhou turned around and, spotting Su Niannian, hurried over with an eager, gossipy expression.

“What’s going on?” Su Niannian could tell just from Auntie Zhou’s face—this was going to be a major piece of gossip.

“Qian Jun’s ear was cut off by Lu Xingguang!” Auntie Zhou said straight away, her tone filled with shock and a hint of awe.

“Qian Jun?” Su Niannian was surprised, but not entirely shocked.

Back when Lu Xingguang tried to force himself on Zhao Sulan, Su Niannian had already sensed something off about Qian Jun.

She just hadn’t figured out exactly what kind of game he was playing.

In the days that followed, there were a few instances when Qian Jun didn’t seem as close to Lu Xingguang as he appeared on the surface.

Su Niannian had always felt like Qian Jun was secretly tripping Lu Xingguang up, whether in plain sight or from the shadows.

Could it be that the truth was finally coming to light now?

“The tractor’s coming!! Move out of the way!” a villager shouted at that moment.

Su Niannian turned her head and saw Zhou Daniu already driving the tractor over.

Jiang Aiguo emerged from Lu Xingguang’s courtyard as well.

Behind him, two villagers were supporting Qian Jun.

Qian Jun had his mouth open in a grimace, clutching a towel with his left hand, pressed tightly over where his left ear used to be.

In his right hand, he was holding an ear—completely severed and covered in blood.

Gu Nan, standing beside Su Niannian, also caught sight of Qian Jun’s ghastly state.

Afraid that Su Niannian might be frightened, he quickly reached out to cover her eyes.

He didn’t want his girl to be haunted by such a gruesome image.

Nearby, Aunt Zhou let out a shocked cry, and gasps and screams echoed from all around.

It was, without a doubt, a chilling and bizarre sight.

Qian Jun was holding the towel tightly to the side of his head, but the blood had already soaked through, turning it a deep crimson.

In his other hand, he was still clutching the severed ear, the sight of it enough to make anyone recoil.

“Make way!” Jiang Aiguo shouted from the front, clearing a path.

The villagers instinctively stepped aside—not only out of respect for Jiang Aiguo’s authority but also because the scene was far too disturbing for anyone to want to get too close.

The moment Jiang Aiguo spotted Su Niannian, his eyes lit up.

“Educated Youth Su, it’s great that you’re here. Can you help stop the bleeding? He’s losing too much blood,” Jiang Aiguo pleaded, clearly desperate.

“Okay!” Su Niannian responded without hesitation.

She was carrying her usual military-green crossbody bag—something she never left home without.

After all, she often needed to retrieve items from her space, and the bag made things much easier.

Originally, she’d brought it along just to snack on sunflower seeds while watching the drama unfold—but unexpectedly, it was about to serve a much more important purpose.

“Would you mind coming with us to the county hospital? We’ll stop the bleeding on the way,” Jiang Aiguo said anxiously.

Su Niannian nodded.

“Alright.”
