Chapter 23 : The whole treasure has become better.
Ye Suiwan worked hard in the space for nearly 10 hours and felt a great sense of accomplishment.
She never knew before that farming could bring so much physical and mental satisfaction.
She sat down on the ground, took a bowl of spiritual spring water, and drank it.
“Phew, I feel alive again!”
[Master, you need to exercise more in different ways so that your body can get better and better.]
Xiaobao said lazily.
Ye Suiwan was about to refute but suddenly realized that her health was indeed improving day by day.
Not only was she getting stronger, but her body’s flexibility had also improved, and her hearing and vision had become more sensitive.
She could even sense whether a person had malicious intentions or not.
“Okay, I will!”
[Master, you are so kind. Go and harvest that one acre of rice. Remember to come back after dinner to harvest the 10 acres of white rice!]
Xiaobao urged.
“OK!”
After resting for a while, Ye Suiwan felt much better. She grabbed her sickle and walked towards the golden, heavy rice fields.
After harvesting, the rice was placed on the ground and automatically collected.
“Xiaobao, where is my new rice?”
Ye Suiwan was curious.
[Master, apart from the portion set aside as seeds for one acre of land, the rest has been husked, packed into bags, and stored in a large vat. You can check it with your mind.]
After Xiaobao finished speaking, Ye Suiwan used her consciousness to check the vat.
Oh my god, it’s huge!
She then saw the rice section, where ten bags of rice were neatly stacked.
She approached, opened a bag, and saw the white rice, each grain was round and full, with a shiny color. A faint fragrance of rice filled the air.
“The farm space is amazing. The output is really high quality,”
Ye Suiwan said excitedly.
[Hehe, as long as the master is diligent, there will be plenty of good things!]
Xiaobao absorbed a little energy and felt much better.
Wow, I love it!
He secretly made up his mind to urge his master to plant more crops.
“Alright, I’m all sweaty and sticky, so I’m going to take a shower and head out. I’ll come back tonight!”
Ye Suiwan preferred a proper shower instead of jumping into the stream.
After all, she was still a girl, right?
She thought about it and wanted to open that mall even more.
After taking a shower, Ye Suiwan didn’t waste any time and left the space immediately.
Checking the time, she took the pork she had set aside earlier and headed toward the kitchen in the front yard.
“Suiwan, you’re here!”
Qin Fang greeted her with a smile.
“Are you cooking today?”
Ye Suiwan had skipped breakfast, so she wasn’t aware.
“Yes, it’s my turn. Are you going to have lunch with everyone?”
Qin Fang asked.
“Yes, I’ll cook. I planned to make a meal for everyone tomorrow, but I need to go to the county town to buy some things for the wedding, so can I help you today instead?”
Ye Suiwan explained with a smile.
“Yes, of course!”
Qin Fang had tasted the dumpling filling Ye Suiwan made before, so she was naturally looking forward to her cooking.
“Alright, you prepare the staple food, and I’ll handle the dishes.”
Ye Suiwan placed the pork in the kitchen, grabbed a basket, and headed to the vegetable garden.
She picked eggplant, peppers, and tomatoes for one dish and potatoes, cowpeas, and meat slices for another. She also planned to make spicy cucumber salad.
Educated youths weren’t too picky with food, and these dishes were already quite good.
After picking the vegetables, washing, and peeling them at the well, she entered the kitchen.
She sliced the pork and chopped the other vegetables. The timing was just right to start cooking.
In one large pot, she steamed vegetable buns, and in another, she stir-fried vegetables.
She first stir-fried the delicious eggplant, peppers, and tomatoes, then stewed the potatoes, cowpeas, and meat slices. During this time, she secretly added plenty of seasoning.
Qin Xiangxiang, who was tending the fire nearby, was drooling.
“Suiwan, I didn’t expect your cooking to be so good. Even simple vegetables smell so delicious!”
Qin Fang looked at Ye Suiwan with admiration.
“Well, my dad is a foodie, so he cooks a lot at home. Naturally, I learned a thing or two.”
Ye Suiwan smiled.
Her dad was indeed a foodie.
“Help me stir the stew while I mix the cucumbers.”
“Okay, leave it to me. You go ahead!”
“I’m almost done. Once they come back, we can eat right away.”
Qin Fang assured her.
Ye Suiwan smashed the cucumbers, chopped some chili peppers, and added salt, light soy sauce, MSG, and a little oyster sauce.
It would have been even better with a spoonful of hot oil.
But, it wasn’t convenient.
Instead, she poured a bit of hot water over the chili, mixed everything, and it was done.
By the time she finished, Qin Fang’s stew and the steamed buns were also ready.
A big pot of stew was prepared, and each person would get a bowl and a steamed bun.
As for the vegetarian dishes, they were left as is without separating them.
Ye Suiwan shared her thoughts, and Qin Fang agreed.
Otherwise, if someone ate too much or too little, it wouldn’t be fair. The meat slices had already been divided evenly.
Qin Fang admired Ye Suiwan even more.
She didn’t expect Suiwan to be so thoughtful and considerate.
“It smells amazing. Qin Fang, what did you cook?”
Li Luo’s voice came from the yard.
“They’re back. Let’s take the food out!”
Ye Suiwan said.
“I’ll do it, I’ll do it! You just carry the cucumbers, they’re not hot.”
“Li Luo, come and help!”
Qin Fang and Li Luo were close, so she didn’t hesitate to call her over.
“I’ll wash my hands and be right there!”
“Hey, Suiwan, you’re here too!”
Li Luo was surprised.
Most of the girls at the educated youth center had already called it a day.
“Yes! Suiwan made the dishes today. I only steamed the buns.”
Qin Fang explained with a smile.
“Suiwan even brought out pork!”
“We’ve been eating so well these past two days!”
Then she continued,
“Woo woo woo, Suiwan, if you ever need help, just tell me! I’ll be the first to lend a hand!”
Li Luo had a cheerful personality and enjoyed making friends.
“Okay, let’s go. Are they back yet?”
Ye Suiwan didn’t hear any movement from behind.
“I ran ahead! I could smell the food!”
Li Luo said sheepishly.
The three of them brought the food to the table in the yard, and soon, a large group of people entered.
“I smell meat!”
“Me too, it smells amazing!”
“Qin Fang, when did you become such a good cook?”
Qin Fang quickly explained.
“I got engaged today, and there was pork in the gift, so I cut some for everyone to try. Hurry and grab a bowl for the meat!”
Ye Suiwan said with a faint smile.
“Thank you, Ye Suiwan!”
The male comrades were the first to express their gratitude.
“Thank you, Suiwan!”
The female comrades followed suit.
Of course, the table was full of praise.
No one expected that tomatoes and cucumbers could be made so delicious.
The male comrades couldn’t help but envy Xiao Yuyan.
Only Jiang Sui looked puzzled.
He had known Ye Suiwan for a long time. He could understand her making dumpling filling since she ate a lot, but cooking?
Was this really the Suiwan he knew?
“What are you thinking about? Eat quickly! I learned this from my family. You know I have a photographic memory!”
Ye Suiwan spoke directly to Jiang Sui.
Hearing that, Jiang Sui found it reasonable and enjoyed the meal even more.
Just as everyone had finished eating and was sitting down to digest their food, the gate of the educated youth center suddenly opened.
