Chapter 3 : Farm Space!
The journey down the mountain was smooth, and as they chatted along the way, they soon arrived at the educated youth station.
“The small house at the edge of the last row is mine. I can just go back quietly.”
Ye Suiwan lowered her voice as she spoke.
Although she still had a lot to say to Xiao Yuyan, there would be plenty of time for that in the future.
“Don’t worry, I remember their faces. I’ll take care of them for good. You don’t have to worry.”
Xiao Yuyan observed their surroundings carefully as he spoke.
As soon as he said those words, his entire demeanor turned colder.
“Can you find them? If you can, help me figure out where they usually gather. That information will be useful to me.”
She had to prepare a big gift for Sun Qianqian in return.
Ye Suiwan’s voice was icy.
Xiao Yuyan didn’t know what she was planning, but he would help her regardless.
“Alright, wait for my news. I’ll have someone propose marriage tomorrow.”
Xiao Yuyan replied softly.
“Okay, go back, and we’ll talk tomorrow.”
Although she was reluctant to part, she hadn’t hugged him enough!
“Oh, by the way, after I go inside, help me latch the door.”
Time was running out, and Ye Suiwan had to hurry back. She quickly raised her hands, cupped Xiao Yuyan’s face, pulled him down, kissed him lightly, and ran away.
Xiao Yuyan smirked and followed her. Once he saw her enter the house, he obediently locked the door and then strode off.
If his guess was right, there would be more to this matter tonight. However, since the girl hadn’t mentioned it, he wouldn’t ask. Still, he needed to go home, inform his mother, and prepare to handle things as they came.
Once inside, Ye Suiwan immediately changed her clothes.
Her hand accidentally brushed against the jade pendant hanging around her neck.
She missed her mother.
When she was seven, her parents divorced, and her mother left for overseas with her grandfather’s family. Now, she was eighteen. Across her past and present lives, it had been over thirty years since she had last seen her mother.
The jade pendant was the only tangible memory her mother had left her.
Lost in thought, Ye Suiwan stroked the pendant absentmindedly when she suddenly felt a sharp prick.
“Hiss—it hurts!”
She looked down and saw a small drop of blood.
Suddenly, a bright white light flashed before her eyes. She instinctively closed them, and when she opened them again, she found herself in an entirely different place.
Just as panic set in, a childish voice rang out.
[Welcome to the Farm Space, little master. I am Xiaobao, the spirit of the space.]
“You… who are you?”
Ye Suiwan was full of questions.
Was she truly reborn? Or was this just an illusion?
[I am Xiaobao, the chubby and adorable Xiaobao!]
[But I’m too weak right now, so you can’t see me. If you work hard, I’ll appear one day!]
Xiaobao’s voice sounded pitiful.
Ye Suiwan: “…” Utterly confused.
[Master, there’s noise outside.]
The next moment, Ye Suiwan felt herself being ejected back into the dark room.
Yes, to avoid being noticed, she hadn’t lit a candle.
“I told you, Suiwan’s door is locked. She’s not in her room at all. Let’s go call the captain and search for her!”
Sun Qianqian’s voice sounded worried, but if one listened carefully, there was an unmistakable note of triumph.
Oh!
That familiar voice.
She hadn’t heard this part in her previous life.
Good job, Sun Qianqian. I’ll be waiting for you to finish your performance so I can slap you in the face.
“Suiwan went back to her room after lunch this afternoon. Why wouldn’t she be here?”
That was Jiang Sui’s voice.
“Brother Jiang, I—I don’t know either. I just went out for a moment, and when I came back, the door was locked.”
Ye Suiwan almost rolled her eyes.
Damn it, Sun Qianqian, you’re such a white lotus. Why do you always sound so fake whenever you talk to Jiang Sui?
Why hadn’t she noticed it before?
Could it be that Sun Qianqian liked Jiang Sui at this time?
But hadn’t Sun Qianqian always been badmouthing Jiang Sui to her?
Haha, what a scheming snake. She was trying to drive a wedge between them.
Ye Suiwan now realized just how foolish she had been in her past life.
“Suiwan! Suiwan, are you in there?”
Jiang Sui saw the other educated youths gathering and stepped forward to knock on the door.
“Brother Jiang, look, Suiwan isn’t here. Let’s go find her!”
Sun Qianqian urged anxiously.
But she wasn’t actually worried, she still needed to “accidentally” lead everyone to the place where Ye Suiwan was supposed to be caught red-handed!
She had set a specific time for the plan, so why would she waste more time here?
It would be better to catch Ye Suiwan before the act was over so more people could witness her humiliation.
Since everything was already ruined, she would make sure it was utterly destroyed. Only then could she finally vent the resentment she had held for years of living under someone else’s roof!
“Jiang Sui, go search outside!”
From the voice, Ye Suiwan guessed this was Song Kai, the leader of the educated youth station.
“Alright, I’ll have to trouble you all. I’ll treat everyone to a meal tomorrow.”
Jiang Sui, who had grown up with Ye Suiwan, naturally felt responsible for helping. After all, dawn was approaching.
Even though they were all educated youths, if one of them went missing, they had to search.
As soon as he finished speaking, Ye Suiwan heard the hurried footsteps of a group of people moving farther away.
She also recalled Jiang Sui from her previous life.
Their family backgrounds were similar, and their families had even considered arranging a marriage between them. But only the two of them knew they were close, but their relationship had nothing to do with love.
Because Jiang Sui had a secret he couldn’t share.
After Ye Suiwan got into trouble, the Jiang family immediately sent him to a closed military academy.
However, unlike others, the Jiang family didn’t abandon her. They even tried to navigate the political climate and offer support in subtle ways. But they couldn’t go against the tide. If they pushed too hard, they might bring disaster upon themselves and worsen the Ye family’s plight.
The real reason they sent Jiang Sui away was to protect him.
The Jiang family knew him too well if he had stayed, he would have never ignored Ye Suiwan’s suffering, and that would have put him in danger.
By the time Jiang Sui graduated, Ye Suiwan was already in the Northwest Farm.
Because the Ye family had been under secret protection, it was difficult to uncover any news. When he finally found out where she was, all he heard was the devastating news, Ye Suiwan was dead.
As for how Jiang Sui later ended up marrying Sun Qianqian, Ye Suiwan only found out when she helped Xiao Yuyan investigate.
Well!
In this life, she hoped Jiang Sui would be safe and find someone he truly loved.
As for Sun Qianqian, she would personally make sure she was eliminated.
