70s Rebirth: The Captivating Beauty’s Flash Military Wedding Chapter 48

Chapter 48 : The ceremony is over.

Team leader Jiang Aijun and Secretary Sun He stood at the front of the crowd.

In his hand was their marriage certificate.

“The bride and groom are here, everyone applaud!”

Song Ning, serving as the host of the wedding, shouted loudly.

Suddenly, the courtyard erupted with deafening applause, much louder than the sound of firecrackers.

After a moment, Jiang Aijun waved his hand to signal a pause, cleared his throat, and spoke.

“Today is the wedding day of Comrade Xiao Yuyan and Comrade Ye Suiwan. Their marriage certificate is legal and valid. I wish them a happy marriage.”

“Yes, now please read the vows and bow three times to your relatives and friends. That will conclude the ceremony,” Sun He added.

What had happened the day before yesterday could only be treated as if it had never happened. The Xiao family still had to do what was expected of them to avoid criticism.

Fortunately, Sun He was able to stay composed, and nothing unexpected occurred.

“Sister-in-law, come with me. We’ll sit at the same table,” Xiao Nuannuan called out excitedly after the simple wedding ceremony.

“Alright!”

Ye Suiwan didn’t ask about the arrangements, knowing that following the Xiao family would be the right choice.

Xiao Nuannuan led her to a table filled with women.

Lin Lan was there as well, sitting next to a young woman whom Ye Suiwan recognized as Xiao Hehe. At that moment, the two were greeting others at the table.

Xiao Nuannuan whispered introductions to Ye Suiwan. She was familiar with Aunt Hongxia, Aunt Huaihua, and Aunt Fang. Sitting beside Aunt Fang was her daughter-in-law, and two elderly women with a blessed appearance sat at the head of the table, one was Aunt Hongxia’s mother-in-law, and the other was Aunt Fang’s mother-in-law. Also present was the secretary’s wife, Li Cui, who naturally had a seat at the table. Though she remained indifferent throughout, nothing seemed out of place today.

Meanwhile, Xiao Yuyan led Song Ning, Yan Huakun, and his two younger brothers around to offer toasts.

The banquet was lavish, featuring ten dishes, symbolizing completeness and perfection.

The meat dishes included chicken stewed with potatoes, pork stewed with vegetables and vermicelli, sauerkraut stewed with pork bones, braised rabbit with green beans, fried radish in lard, and leek and egg pancakes. Each dish was generously portioned, with a roughly equal ratio of meat to vegetables.

The vegetarian dishes featured spicy mushrooms, a fresh salad, cucumber dip, and stir-fried greens.

In the center of the table sat a bowl of mixed-grain steamed buns.

It was difficult to find another banquet of this scale in the surrounding area.

Looking around, both adults and children were eating heartily, their mouths glistening with oil as they praised the food.

Lin Lan kept picking up food for Ye Suiwan, and everyone could sense her affection for her.

The banquet lasted until the afternoon. The women, having eaten their fill, were fine, but the men lingered, drinking and chatting, reluctant to leave.

After finishing her meal, Ye Suiwan returned to the house accompanied by Xiao Hehe and Xiao Nuannuan.

“Hello, sister-in-law! I’m Xiao Hehe,” she introduced herself cheerfully.

Xiao Hehe had delicate features, bearing a strong resemblance to Xiao Yuyan, though she seemed to take after their father more.

Lin Lan and Father Xiao were both good-looking, so naturally, their children had outstanding appearances. With proper care, they would look even better.

“Hello, sister. I’m Ye Suiwan,” she replied with a smile.

“Sister-in-law, you should rest for a while. Nuannuan and I will be heading out soon,” Xiao Hehe suggested.

The bride had to wake up early for the wedding, so she must have been tired by now.

“Alright, you two go ahead,” Ye Suiwan agreed, knowing there were still many matters to handle outside. Today was not the right time to ask questions, so she simply went along with it.

That night, she slept deeply, perhaps because an important matter had finally been settled.

When she awoke, the room was dim, and everything outside was silent. Everyone had probably left by now.

At that moment, Xiao Yuyan pushed the door open.

“You’re awake? Are you hungry? There’s warm rice in the pot. I’ll bring you some,” he said as he lit the kerosene lamp and turned to leave.

Ye Suiwan realized she was indeed a little hungry.

When he returned, Xiao Yuyan was carrying a steaming bowl of noodles.

This wasn’t just warm, it was freshly cooked.

“There’s always hot water in the pot. It only takes a quick boil to cook the noodles. You didn’t eat much at noon, did you?”

Xiao Yuyan placed the bowl on the table. On top of the noodles was an egg, half a bowl of sliced meat, and some leafy greens.

“You made this?”

Ye Suiwan raised an eyebrow.

“My mom taught me. I’m still learning. Try it and see how it is,” he said expectantly.

Ye Suiwan blew on the noodles, picked up a bite with her chopsticks, and put it into her mouth.

“It’s delicious, but this is too much. How about you eat the rest with me?”

“Alright!”

Xiao Yuyan couldn’t hide his smile.

“Wife, I’ve already taken a bath. I’m going to brush my teeth. There’s water in the tub outside, do you want to take a bath?”

“Okay!”

Though she hadn’t sweat much, she knew exactly what was coming next, so of course, she wanted to freshen up.

After bathing, Ye Suiwan had just gotten into bed when Xiao Yuyan returned.

He closed the door and stood there, stunned.

“What’s wrong?”

Under the soft light, she smiled sweetly. Her beautiful eyes were enchanting, and she wore a red nightgown that made her skin look even fairer.

Xiao Yuyan’s Adam’s apple bobbed involuntarily.

“I… I’ll go pour out the bathwater first,” he stammered.

Watching him flee, Ye Suiwan chuckled and muttered to herself, “It’s not like we haven’t done this before, yet he’s shyer than me.”

She suddenly found him quite adorable.

When he returned, she was already lying on the bed covered in red bedding.

This time, he locked the door, rushed to the bed, and embraced her tightly.

“Wife…”

His husky voice, filled with unmistakable desire, sent shivers down her spine.

His large hands roamed across her waist.

“Xiao Yuyan!”

“Can you hurry up?”

Ye Suiwan couldn’t bear it any longer, her soft voice carrying a hint of complaint.

They had been intimate before, who was he torturing like this?

Thinking this, she lifted her head and bit his Adam’s apple.

“Mm~”

“Wife, don’t cry later, okay?”

With that, he pressed her down and kissed her deeply.

His hands roamed freely, sending tremors through her body. Her soft moans were all the encouragement he needed.

Xiao Yuyan was in no hurry. He took his time savoring every inch of her.

“Ayan!”

“I’m here.”

Then, only the sound of soft sobs remained until even those faded away.

Before falling asleep, Ye Suiwan had a fleeting thought her guess had been right.

She truly couldn’t handle Xiao Yuyan when he let go of his restraint.

Well, this was the body that had been nourished by spiritual spring water, after all.

Xiao Yuyan cleaned her up, applied ointment, changed her into fresh pajamas, and lay down beside her.

In the dim morning light, he looked at the girl beside him, her body covered in faint red marks. He almost lost control again.

Cursing himself internally, he forced himself to calm down, then pulled her into his embrace and drifted off to sleep.
