Chapter 49 : We are a family.

Ye Suiwan opened her eyes and looked around at the unfamiliar place. It took her a moment to realize that this was her future home.  

“Hiss—”  

She had originally wanted to get up, but the moment she moved, a wave of soreness washed over her, forcing her to lie back down.  

“Xiao! Yu! Yan!”  

Ye Suiwan gritted her teeth as she called his name. She felt like her body was about to fall apart.  

Thinking back to what happened last night, she had really underestimated that man.

Just then, a loud growl sounded from Ye Suiwan’s stomach.  

“Oh no!”  

Ye Suiwan suddenly remembered, she hadn’t served tea to her mother-in-law yet!  

“This is all your fault! Where’s Mom and the others?”  

“What time is it? What?! It’s already past ten?!”  

Ye Suiwan hurriedly grabbed her clothes and started putting them on.  

“Don’t worry, wife. Mom took my younger siblings up the mountain to gather herbs. We’re the only ones at home right now.”  

Xiao Yuyan quickly explained.  

“Really?”  

“Of course. Now, let’s go eat.”  

Xiao Yuyan half-knelt to help her put on her shoes.  

“Do you want me to carry you out?”

The moment Ye Suiwan’s feet touched the ground, her legs nearly gave out beneath her.

At the dining table, breakfast was still waiting for her.  

White flour buns, side dishes, and a bowl of brown sugar egg water.  

“Mom made this specially for you this morning. Eat up, wife. We’ll have chicken soup at noon.”  

Xiao Yuyan said as he gazed at her, noting that she looked even more beautiful and radiant than the day before.  

“I don’t need chicken soup. I just need rest actually, never mind. Just stop bothering me.”  

Ye Suiwan buried her head in her bowl.

“Mom specifically said you don’t have to cook today. Just rest after you eat.”

Ye Suiwan smiled as she took it, placed it on the table, and opened it.

She handed the shirt to Lin Lan first.  

Lin Lan could tell at a glance that it was of excellent quality. Not only was the fabric good, but even the stitching was exceptional.
