Chapter 58 : The artifact that wants to be invisible.
The two decided to go back home and put down the gifts first.
When they got home, they saw that it was still early, so they planned to take a shower and freshen up.
Later, they would go out for dinner, and afterward, they would have a good sleep.
Although the train had sleeper berths, sitting for such a long time was still very tiring.
“Then you take a rest, I’ll go boil some water,” Xiao Yuyan immediately said.
“I’ll tell you where it is.”
Ye Suiwan slumped into the chair and was about to stand up when she was pushed back.
“No need, I can find it,” Xiao Yuyan refused. He felt that his wife was exhausted and wanted her to rest.
“Alright then,” Ye Suiwan didn’t insist. There must be firewood in the kitchen and a well in the yard, so it wouldn’t be hard to find.
She took advantage of this time to enter her space to harvest crops and tend to her farm.
Ye Suiwan entered her bedroom, locked the door, and then slipped into the space.
[Master, come on! There are still 26 acres of land. Once you plant and harvest them, you can unlock the Time Mall.]
[A wish gift package will be given when the Time Mall is opened. The items in the package can be customized according to the owner’s needs, but only three items can be selected.]
Upon hearing this, Ye Suiwan was immediately motivated.
She wanted an invisibility artifact the most, as it would be extremely useful and provide great help.
“Alright, I got it. Don’t bother me. I want to farm.”
After saying this, Ye Suiwan began working diligently.
She could complete 10 acres today and find time to plant the rest tomorrow and the day after. That way, she could open the mall the day after tomorrow.
It just so happened that she needed to do some investigations these days to identify the target person since no one knew who was behind everything yet.
God was truly helping her. She felt like she was God’s favored child after being reborn.
Hearing footsteps outside, Ye Suiwan quickly left the space just in time to sow the last seed and bury it in the soil.
“Ayan, is the water ready?”
Ye Suiwan opened the bedroom door and asked.
“Yes, but why are you sweating all over?”
Xiao Yuyan noticed keenly.
“I just did some stretching; otherwise, my arms and legs would feel sore.”
“How about giving me a massage again tonight?”
Ye Suiwan approached Xiao Yuyan and invited him seductively, cutting off any possibility of further questioning.
“I can’t wait until night, wife!”
Saying this, he picked up Ye Suiwan and ran straight to the bathroom.
Ye Suiwan instantly understood his intentions. But wasn’t he tired?
For a man who hadn’t had any “meat” for two days, this was quite cruel.
Exhausted, Ye Suiwan fell asleep directly.
Xiao Yuyan, looking satisfied, gently cleaned her up, placed her on the bed, and then fell asleep holding her in his arms.
When they woke up again, it was almost five in the afternoon.
“Are you awake? Get up, let’s go see my father,” Xiao Yuyan said softly, looking at the person in his arms.
He should have controlled himself better, but every time he saw her soft, affectionate gaze beneath him, he lost control.
“Okay!”
As soon as Ye Suiwan spoke, she realized her voice was a little hoarse.
“Drink some water, wife!”
Xiao Yuyan handed her a kettle.
The water inside was from the spiritual spring. After drinking it, Ye Suiwan immediately felt refreshed.
“Hmph, now that we’re going to be living in the compound, you can’t keep doing this,” Ye Suiwan pouted.
Hearing this, Xiao Yuyan immediately nodded in agreement.
“Okay, I’ll listen to my wife!”
His wife said “not like this,” but she didn’t say it couldn’t be done at all so of course, he readily agreed.
Ye Suiwan no longer had any expectations for Xiao Yuyan’s promises when it came to matters in bed, but that didn’t stop her from speaking her mind.
“Wait for me. I’ll go put away the laundry before we leave. It’s hot now, so it should be dry,” Xiao Yuyan said as he prepared to stand up.
Ye Suiwan suddenly thought of something, and her face turned red.
This man always washed her underwear too. Even though they had already done the most intimate things, she still felt embarrassed.
“Okay! Then go ahead! I’ll find some clothes to change into,” Ye Suiwan replied.
She got up from the bed and opened the closet.
Inside were also her childhood clothes, things she had outgrown but still kept.
She could tell a story about every piece of clothing she wore before the age of seven because many of them were handmade by her grandmother and mother. Meanwhile, the clothes her two brothers wore were either bought or made by someone else. In their family, only Ye Suiwan had the privilege of having the two most respected women in the household personally sew clothes for her.
Ye Suiwan missed her mother.
The day before the divorce, her mother had taken her into a room and talked to her for a long time. She didn’t treat her like a child or try to deceive her. Instead, she carefully explained why she and her father had to separate.
So yes, Ye Suiwan’s parents were divorced, but she never lacked love and care.
Even though her mother had left with her grandmother’s family, she had still arranged for Granny Gui, who had watched Ye Suiwan grow up to stay behind and take care of her. But she had been so foolish!
Ever since Sun Qianqian and her mother came into their home, it was as if she had been possessed. Under their manipulation, she gradually distanced herself from Granny Gui until they lost all contact.
That was one of the main reasons she rarely came here. Every time she did, she would simply drop off her things and leave. Since Granny Gui no longer lived here, they barely saw each other, if at all.
Thinking about Granny Gui reminded Ye Suiwan of all the care she had received in her past life.
Especially after the downfall of the Ye family Granny Gui had spent all her savings on medicine for her and had even wanted to follow her to the northwest farm where she had been exiled.
How could Ye Suiwan have allowed that? At the time, Granny Gui was nearly seventy, and because of her, she had worried herself sick to the point of near death multiple times.
She only learned about Granny Gui’s fate later, when she followed Xiao Yuyan. At that time, Jiang Sui hadn’t found her, but he had found Granny Gui.
When Granny Gui accidentally learned of Ye Suiwan’s passing, she completely collapsed. She kept murmuring that she had failed to fulfill the wishes of her lady and eldest young miss—that she hadn’t taken care of her properly.
A few days later, she passed away.
Tears streamed down Ye Suiwan’s face as she thought about this.
When Xiao Yuyan returned and saw the scene before him, his heart ached.
“Wanwan, what’s wrong?”
He quickly put down the clothes in his hands and pulled her into his arms, comforting her.
Xiao Yuyan’s warmth snapped her back to reality.
“It’s nothing… I just miss my mother and Granny Gui, who always took care of us,” she murmured.
“Then let’s take some time to visit Granny Gui, okay? Don’t cry, my wife,” Xiao Yuyan said, gently kissing away her tears.
“Alright, stop crying now. Let’s go!”
“In a couple of days, I’ll take you to see Granny Gui and introduce you to her properly, so she can be at ease. She lives nearby, and she’s an amazing cook. Let her make us something delicious all my favorites.”
Back then, when she had deliberately distanced herself from him, Granny Gui had lost the chance to cook for her.
Thinking about it now, Ye Suiwan wanted to slap herself.
Taking a deep breath, she adjusted her emotions, gathered her things, and prepared to leave.
At the same time, in the military compound, Liu Suxia was attempting suicide.
