Chapter 10: Too Much Poop Bug
“Meimei?”
Wen Yanyan stood at the doorway, not entering, but simply calling out her name.
“Yanyan?”
Zhang Meimei looked up and saw her, her expression clearly faltering. “You… why did you cut your hair?”
Her almond-shaped eyes sized Wen Yanyan up and down, her face looking somewhat unpleasant.
“Yeah, my old hair was too long. Nan Jue found it bothersome. Meimei, what are you doing?”
Wen Yanyan pretended not to notice the change in her expression, stretched her thick waist, and leaned against the doorframe, rambling nonsense.
What?
Nan Jue found it bothersome?
Bothersome how?
Wen Yanyan’s subtext immediately sent her heart into turmoil. Could it be that they really shared a room?
Did this fool not lie?
But last night, Nan Tuan was clearly spending the night in the dormitory!
She heard it!
His voice.
If they were really together, would he still live in the dormitory?
Last night, Zhang Meimei thought she had exposed Wen Yanyan’s lie.
“Meimei, I’m asking you, what are you doing?” Wen Yanyan deliberately asked again.
“Can’t you see? I’m knitting a scarf. Yanyan, who cut your hair?”
Zhang Meimei’s emotions were volatile.
“I cut it myself. How is it? Pretty good, right?” Wen Yanyan stared into her eyes.
She subtly breathed a sigh of relief. It wasn’t Nan Jue.
“No, it’s not as good-looking as before. By the way, Yanyan, did you come here for something?”
As she spoke, her expression had returned to normal, a faint smile playing on her lips.
Then she playfully tucked a strand of loose hair behind her ear, seemingly intentionally revealing her earlobes, white and shaped like ingots.
Hmm?
Not as good-looking after the haircut?
Wen Yanyan blinked.
Goodness, this woman’s words are impossible to listen to! Deliberately leading her into a trap! Is she trying to deliberately confuse her aesthetic judgment?
Unfortunately, this Yanyan is not that Yanyan; she won’t fall for it again.
However, to be fair, this woman is quite attractive.
If she hadn’t seen through her ulterior motives, she wouldn’t have imagined that this fair-skinned and beautiful woman had such a filthy side to her.
Wen Yanyan shook her hair, looking calm and composed.
“If it’s not good-looking, then so be it. It’s already cut short anyway, and it can’t be put back. The key is that Nan Jue—likes it. Right, I have something to ask you, but it’s too stuffy inside, let’s go outside and sit for a while.”
After saying that, regardless of whether Zhang Meimei was willing or not, she dropped a verbal bomb and left, walking straight to the big tree next to the infirmary and sitting down.
In that era, it seemed that under every big tree there were several large stones that provided shade and a place to rest.
What?
Nan Jue likes it?
Bah!
You’re dreaming!
Zhang Meimei was so angry that she gnashed her teeth. Nan Jue will never like you, you fat and ugly fool!
She was furious.
But how could this fool still be so infuriating? She seemed different from before.
After hesitating for a moment, she finally put down the half-knitted scarf, tidied her white coat, got up and walked out of the infirmary towards the tree.
She looked at where Wen Yanyan was sitting and finally sat down a little further away from her.
Suddenly, a gust of wind blew, dispelling the humid heat from Wen Yanyan’s body.
“It’s still cooler here,” she looked at the white clouds in the sky.
Zhang Meimei was impatient.
“Yanyan, just say what you need to say, I’m still on duty.”
She found Wen Yanyan’s hair annoying. This idiot, she cut her hair, but still kept bangs.
But even if she shaved her head, she would still be ugly!
“Okay, I know you’re busy. Meimei, I’m asking you, was it you who told people about drugging Nan Jue that day?”
Wen Yanyan didn’t want to beat around the bush and spoke directly, because there was no need to beat around the bush. She didn’t want to be friends with this so-called friend anymore, and she simply decided to break things off.
Zhang Meimei was stunned for a moment, and the next second, tears welled up in her eyes, and she said pitifully.
“Yanyan, how can you think like that? We’re best friends.”
“Who said that? Besides us, is there a third person who knows about this?”
Wen Yanyan’s eyes were like knives.
“It must have been you who said it.”
Zhang Meimei thought that Wen Yanyan was still the same as before, obedient to her every word, and she was used to speaking without thinking.
Bullshit!
A surge of anger rushed to Wen Yanyan’s head.
“Zhang Meimei, have you eaten too much poop bug? Why are you talking nonsense? I would never say such a shameless thing! In your eyes, am I such a shameless fool?”
“Yanyan! How dare you insult me? Maybe you said it unintentionally and forgot about it. That’s possible. Anyway, I didn’t say it.”
Zhang Meimei insisted.
