Two days later, Cheng Jingmo regained consciousness and was moved to a regular ward.

His first question was, “Yu Xiangyang, who performed the surgery on me that day?”

In his foggy memory, it seemed like he had heard Yu Xiangnian’s voice during the surgery.

Later, he tried hard to open his eyes and saw a person wearing a mask, with only their eyes visible.

Just then, Yu Xiangnian arrived with two food containers, bringing a bowl of chicken noodle soup for Cheng Jingmo and cornmeal porridge with a little vegetable for Yu Xiangyang.

Yu Xiangnian glanced at Cheng Jingmo and said coldly, “What else can I do? I’ll just have to remarry!”

Yu Xiangyang didn’t notice Yu Xiangnian’s attitude and seriously said, “Don’t worry, I’ll have Dad find you someone better.”

“Thanks in advance!” Yu Xiangnian replied with a forced smile, “Just eat your food!”

“I’ll feed him first.” Yu Xiangyang reached for the chicken noodle soup.

Cheng Jingmo was still unable to eat on his own due to the risk of disturbing his wounds.

Yu Xiangnian stopped him, saying, “You eat, I’ll feed him.”

Cheng Jingmo opened his mouth as if to refuse, but he didn’t say anything.

After Yu Xiangyang left, Yu Xiangnian stayed in the garden for a while to calm down.
