Chapter 135: False Accusation

Lu Qingyun’s second aunt was like an ant on a hot pan, pacing back and forth in her room.

She knew that today was the day Lu Qingyun and Ling Yao were getting their marriage license, but she didn’t want them to.

She and her older sister had already come up with a plan.

 They had to stop them today. They absolutely couldn’t let them get their license.

“Why hasn’t my older sister called yet? I’m so worried.”

Just then, a sudden, urgent phone ring broke the suffocating silence in the room.

“Are you alright? Are you hurt anywhere?” Lu Qingyun’s gaze fell on the mother and daughter.

Lu Qingyun shook his head gently, his eyes firm and tender as he looked at Ling Yao. He gave her a reassuring smile, “Don’t worry. I’ll handle this.”

Ling Yao looked into Lu Qingyun’s deep eyes, a sense of inexplicable peace washing over her. She smiled sweetly, “Okay!”

Lu Qingyun turned his head and looked at the mother and daughter with piercing, icy eyes.

His voice was low and powerful, carrying an undeniable authority as he questioned,

 “You keep saying I’m your husband and father. So, tell me, what’s my name? How old am I?”

“Your name is Lu Qingyun. You’re twenty-five years old. You’re a regiment commander in the army.”

The woman raised her head, her face covered in tears and snot. Since she dared to falsely accuse Lu Qingyun in public, she naturally had full confidence.

Lu Qingyun sneered coldly, “Good. Since you know I’m a soldier, that’s good.

Do you know what crime it is to falsely accuse a soldier?” It seemed that the person behind this had made thorough preparations.

The woman met Lu Qingyun’s eyes and shivered in fear. She wanted to back down. But thinking about the benefits promised to her, she couldn’t bear to.

At this moment, two police officers walked over. They had received a call from a citizen.

Lu Qingyun glanced at the mother and daughter on the ground and briefly explained what had happened.
