Chapter 141: Zhao Yan

Old Master Lu saw Ling Yao come out and knew that his eldest daughter had chased her out.

 He wiped away the tears from the corner of his eyes, “Yaoyao, don’t mind your aunt. She’s sick and in a bad mood.”

Originally, he wanted to ask Yaoyao to help his eldest daughter with her illness, but what she had done made it impossible for him to open his mouth.

Ling Yao shook her head indifferently, “Grandpa, it’s okay. I don’t mind.”

 For him, the most detestable thing was being coerced, especially when it involved Yaoyao. This was an absolute line he couldn’t cross.

Old Master Lu silently watched the two of them walk away until their figures disappeared at the end of the corridor.

He sighed helplessly, slowly withdrew his gaze, and walked towards the ward. He didn’t need to guess.

 I’m here to take the exam today.”

Who do you think you are? Don’t talk nonsense here. Get out of here, or I’ll kick you out!”

He even waved his hand, pretending to hit her.

Ling Yao’s face turned cold, and she turned to leave.

The guard sneered, picked up the phone, and made a call, “Old Xu, I’ve chased her away.”

A car passed by Ling Yao.

“Screech!” The car suddenly stopped.

Then, the car door opened, and a middle-aged man quickly got out of the car.

Ling Yao didn’t pay attention until she heard footsteps behind her. She realized that he was calling to her, stopped, turned her head, and immediately recognized the middle-aged man as the one she had saved on the street yesterday.

“Little girl, do you remember me? I’m the one you saved on the street yesterday.” The middle-aged man pointed at himself.

Ling Yao smiled and nodded, “Hello!”

The middle-aged man smiled happily, “Little girl, the medicine you gave me yesterday really worked wonders.

 Where did you buy that medicine?” Since taking the medicine she gave him yesterday, he felt so much better.

Especially last night. He used to have insomnia every night, but last night, he slept soundly until dawn for the first time in a long time.

“I made that medicine myself.”

“You made it yourself? You’re a doctor?” The middle-aged man looked at Ling Yao in disbelief, his face filled with astonishment.

 This girl looked only eighteen or nineteen years old. How could she be a doctor?

He came here today to tell his father about yesterday’s incident.

He didn’t expect to meet the little girl who saved him yesterday by such a coincidence.

“No!” Ling Yao shook her head.

The middle-aged man smiled, “Do you have anything to do right now?”

Ling Yao raised her eyebrows slightly, looking at the middle-aged man with confusion.

“Well, I’d like to invite you to go to the Medical Association with me. To be honest, my father is the president of the Medical Association.”

If she really knew medicine, he wanted to recommend her to join the Medical Association and become a member.

Why was she stopped at the door when she had clearly received a notice to take the exam?

“Ling Yao.” Ling Yao replied softly.

“Ling Yao, there’s something I need to tell you first. My father is a little different from others.

 He’s very strict and rigid. Don’t be nervous when you meet him later.” Zhao Yan was worried that Ling Yao would be intimidated by his father’s aura.

“Okay.” Ling Yao smiled and nodded.

As they spoke, they arrived at an office. Zhao Yan reached out and gently knocked on the door.

A commanding voice came from inside, “Come in!”
