Chapter 194: Arrogant and Conceited
Hearing someone call her, Ling Xuemei looked in the direction of the voice.
She was slightly stunned when she saw that it was Jiang Chunhua, “Why are you here? How did you come to Beijing?” Jiang Chunhua was from the same village as her, but their relationship wasn’t good.
Since they were children, Jiang Chunhua had always been against her. Especially after Yanting left, Jiang Chunhua often sneered at her behind her back. She said she was an abandoned woman, that Yanting would despise her and find another woman when he returned to the city, and even predicted that Yanting would never come back to pick them up, mother and daughter.
“Why can’t I be here? Does Beijing belong to you? You, Ling Xuemei, can come, but I can’t?” Jiang Chunhua sat down on the chair next to Ling Xuemei, looking up and down at Ling Xuemei’s clothes.
Ling Xuemei didn’t want to pay attention to Jiang Chunhua and turned her gaze away.
But Jiang Chunhua didn’t intend to let her go, “It seems you’re not doing so well now. Look at me. I have bodyguards when I go out. I can buy whatever I want now. Unlike you, you married a young intellectual and can’t even afford a decent dress. Sigh! It’s really pathetic!”
Actually, when she first saw Ji Yanting, she fell in love with him. Ji Yanting was the most outstanding among all the young intellectuals, both in terms of temperament and appearance. But before she could confess her feelings to him, she heard that he was going to be with Ling Xuemei.
She was very angry at the time. She wanted to kill Ling Xuemei.
“Mom, it’s so noisy here. Let’s find another place to wait.” Ling Yao glanced at Jiang Chunhua indifferently. Looking at Jiang Chunhua’s clothes and the way she was acting, she knew that she had reunited with her family, just like in her previous life.
In her previous life, she had found it unbelievable when she learned that Jiang Chunhua was a member of the Zhu family.
“Okay.” Ling Xuemei nodded and stood up, planning to find another place to sit with Ling Yao.
Jiang Chunhua turned to the two bodyguards beside her and winked.
The two bodyguards stepped forward and blocked Ling Xuemei and Ling Yao’s way.
Jiang Chunhua stood up and looked at Ling Xuemei with a smug smile, “Ling Xuemei, do you know? I’m not the same person I used to be. I’ve reunited with my family. I’m the long-lost daughter of the Zhu family in Beijing. You must have heard of the Zhu family, right? They’re a major family in Beijing.”
She made a gesture of crushing an ant, “Now, in my eyes, you’re just an ant. I can crush you easily. Ling Xuemei, I’m giving you a chance. Kneel down and beg me now, and I’ll let you and your daughter go. Otherwise, I’ll make sure you can’t stay in Beijing.”
Ling Yao’s lips curled up into a smile filled with disdain, “Is the Zhu family really that powerful?” The Zhu family was no longer what it used to be. After being jointly suppressed by the Ji family, the Lu family, and the Chu family, it had become shaky and vulnerable, ready to be kicked out of the major families in Beijing at any time.
Jiang Chunhua turned her gaze to Ling Yao, her eyes filled with arrogance and self-satisfaction, “Of course. The Zhu family isn’t someone ordinary people can mess with, especially ordinary people like you. With a word from me, it would be easy to take your lives.”
Ling Yao couldn’t help but laugh. She exchanged a look with Ling Xuemei, “We’re so scared.”
“Since you know you’re scared, be sensible. Kneel down and kowtow to me now.” Jiang Chunhua proudly pointed to the ground. She was waiting to see them, mother and daughter, kneeling on the ground like dogs, begging her.
Ling Yao took a step forward and suddenly kicked the chair Jiang Chunhua was sitting on.
There was a loud “bang” as the chair flew away, and Jiang Chunhua, unprepared, fell to the ground, her face contorted in pain.
She trembled with anger, her eyes wide as she roared at the two bodyguards, “Grab that stinky girl and give her a good lesson.”
The two bodyguards immediately charged towards Ling Yao.
“Yaoyao!” Ling Xuemei shouted worriedly.
Ling Yao gave Ling Xuemei a reassuring look, then quickly turned around, swung her fist and hit one of the bodyguards in the stomach. At the same time, she kicked the other bodyguard several meters away.
What happened before her eyes stunned Jiang Chunhua. She stared blankly at Ling Yao, unable to believe what she saw. Was this really Ling Yao? When did she become so powerful?
Ling Xuemei breathed a sigh of relief and a faint smile appeared on her lips. Yaoyao was amazing!
Ling Yao walked up to Jiang Chunhua and looked down at her with a condescending attitude, “Jiang Chunhua, your men are so useless.”
Jiang Chunhua’s face turned red with anger. She gritted her teeth and glared at Ling Yao, “Ling Yao, don’t get cocky. You’ve completely angered the Zhu family now. You and your mother are waiting for the Zhu family’s revenge.”
Ling Yao sneered, “I’m giving you a chance. Kneel down and kowtow to me and my mother three times, and we’ll let you go. Otherwise, the Zhu family will be kicked out of Beijing today.” It seemed she had been too merciful to the Zhu family before.
Jiang Chunhua burst out laughing at Ling Yao’s words, “Ling Yao, are you listening to yourself? That’s the Zhu family. The Zhu family can take your life with a single word. You’re talking big like that. Aren’t you afraid of your tongue getting struck by lightning? Hahaha…” What an ignorant girl.
“Then I’ll give you another chance. Call the Zhu family now and ask them if they know about us, mother and daughter.” Ling Yao pulled Ling Xuemei’s hand and sat down at another table.
Jiang Chunhua narrowed her eyes and got up from the ground, “You just wait!” She had planned to call home anyway and tell the Zhu family about this. If she didn’t make this mother and daughter kneel down and beg her today, her name wouldn’t be Jiang.
Just as Jiang Chunhua left, Lu’s Mother walked in. Seeing the overturned chair and the two bodyguards lying on the ground in pain, she walked towards Ling Yao and Ling Xuemei, “Xuemei, Yaoyao, what happened just now?”
Ling Xuemei told her what had happened, “I didn’t expect Jiang Chunhua to be related to the Zhu family.”
Lu’s Mother shook her head helplessly after listening, “The Zhu family is becoming more and more trash. It seems they should be kicked out of Beijing.”
Jiang Chunhua had already called Zhu Yunchang, “Big Brother, I’m at Tianhe Department Store in Beijing. I was bullied. They even beat up my bodyguards…” She exaggerated the story. But she didn’t ask Zhu Yunchang if he knew Ling Xuemei and her daughter. She didn’t believe that Ling Xuemei and her daughter had the ability.
“Wait there. I’ll bring people over right away.” Zhu Yunchang hung up the phone angrily and walked quickly outside.
“What’s wrong?” Old Master Lu saw his son’s expression and asked.
“My little sister was bullied. I’m going over there.”
