Chapter 35: Expulsion
“This…” Xu Lihai was a little hesitant. It wasn’t that he couldn’t do it, but he had to have a legitimate reason to expel a student.
Otherwise, if someone caught him, his position would be in jeopardy.
“Uncle! Please!” Jiang Rong shook Xu Lihai’s hand coquettishly.
“Let me think about it. Expelling a student isn’t that simple. You need a good reason.”
“That’s easy. Tomorrow is the baseline test.” Jiang Rong’s face lit up with a cunning smile.
She not only wanted to get Ling Yao expelled from school but also to make her lose face and ruin her life.
Ling Yao prepared her scratch paper. This class was a math test, her first test since her rebirth. She wondered how many points she would get this time.
As the bell rang for class, the teacher walked into the classroom with a stack of test papers.
He glanced sternly at the students, “We’ll have a math baseline test this period. I hope you will take it seriously.
Don’t cheat. It’s also your responsibility to your future. Okay, let’s begin the test now.”
The teacher divided the test papers into several stacks and had the students in the first row pass them back.
Ling Yao took a test paper and passed the rest back.
She looked at the questions on the test paper. They weren’t difficult. She picked up her pen and started answering.
Jiang Rong kept an eye on Ling Yao. When the test was halfway through, Jiang Rong threw a small piece of paper she had prepared at Ling Yao’s feet, “Teacher! Ling Yao is cheating! I saw a piece of paper by her feet. It fell off just now.”
Ling Yao’s lips curled into a smirk. She knew Jiang Rong wouldn’t let it go. So, she was waiting for her here.
The teacher walked to Ling Yao’s side. He saw a piece of paper on the ground, bent down to pick it up, and opened it.
Sure enough, it had answers on it. He looked at Ling Yao with a cold face, “Ling Yao, your test score is invalid. Go stand outside now.”
Ling Yao didn’t argue. She stood up and walked towards the outside.
Jiang Rong gave Ling Yao a triumphant look. Ling Yao, you can’t beat me.
Ling Yao didn’t even give Jiang Rong a glance. She walked towards the outside of the classroom.
After class, Ling Yao followed the teacher to the office.
The teacher took out the piece of paper and looked at Ling Yao with disappointment, “Ling Yao, give me an explanation. Why did you cheat?”
Ling Yao’s grades had always been good. He had always had high hopes for her.
“Teacher Xu, I didn’t cheat. Look at my test paper.” Ling Yao’s expression was calm.
Teacher Xu took out the piece of paper, unfolded it, then took out Ling Yao’s test paper, and compared them carefully.
He found that Ling Yao’s test paper was already finished. Her handwriting was neat and pleasing to the eye.
Looking at the words on the piece of paper, although they were also well-written, they were completely different from the handwriting on the test paper. It was clearly not written by the same person.
Looking at the answers, he found that the answers on the piece of paper were completely different from Ling Yao’s problem-solving methods.
Teacher Xu now felt something was wrong. “Then why didn’t you say anything at the time?”
“I didn’t want to affect everyone’s test. Besides, you wouldn’t be able to do anything about it.”
“What do you mean?” Teacher Xu was puzzled.
As soon as he finished speaking, he heard footsteps outside the door. Then, the principal and the headmaster walked in.
“Teacher Xu, I heard that a student cheated during the test.” The principal’s gaze fell on Ling Yao.
There were so many people you shouldn’t offend, but she had to offend Jiang Rong. Her uncle was a leader in the Education Bureau.
She was really ruining her own future. Although Ling Yao was a transfer student who got in through connections, her connections were no match for Xu Lihai’s.
“Principal! Ling Yao was framed. The piece of paper wasn’t hers. She didn’t cheat.” Teacher Xu said.
He didn’t want Ling Yao to be wrongly accused before the matter was investigated.
The principal looked coldly at Teacher Xu, “Teacher Xu, I know what you’re thinking. But cheating is a serious matter.
If we don’t handle it seriously, other students won’t learn from it, and this kind of thing will happen again and again.”
“But…”
Teacher Xu wanted to say something else, but the principal waved his hand and interrupted him, “Okay, I’ll handle this. Don’t worry about it.”
Teacher Xu could only swallow the words he wanted to say. He looked at Ling Yao apologetically.
It was his fault that he hadn’t investigated and had directly concluded that Ling Yao had cheated. Otherwise, this wouldn’t have involved the principal.
Ling Yao smiled at Teacher Xu nonchalantly. This was a scheme orchestrated by Jiang Rong’s uncle.
Even if Teacher Xu cleared her name this time, they would have other tricks up their sleeve.
“Ling Yao, come with me to the principal’s office.” The principal walked towards the outside.
Ling Yao nodded and followed.
They arrived at the principal’s office.
The principal walked to his desk and sat down. He looked at Ling Yao faintly, “Ling Yao, you cheated on the exam.
It’s a serious offense. The headmaster and I have decided to expel you. Do you have anything to say?”
Ling Yao smiled mockingly, “Was it Xu Lihai’s orders?”
The principal was slightly startled. How did she know?
“Principal, you should have received the news. Longteng Pharmaceutical is going to donate a library to the school, right?”
Ling Yao looked at the principal with calm eyes, her whole body exuding a cool and noble aura.
“How did you know about this?” The principal looked at Ling Yao in surprise. He had just learned about this news this morning.
He hadn’t had time to announce it to everyone yet.
Ling Yao walked to the sofa and sat down, “Principal, are you going to side with Xu Lihai or do you want the library?”
The principal looked at Ling Yao. He realized that he couldn’t see through her, “What do you mean?”
“What I said. Choose one.”
The principal frowned, “Don’t play games with me. You cheated, and you have to be punished. Now you’re expelled.” No matter where Ling Yao got the news, he wouldn’t believe her.
“Okay, I understand. I’ll leave school now. I hope you don’t regret it.” Ling Yao stood up and walked towards the outside.
The principal slammed his fist on the table angrily. He wouldn’t be manipulated by a student.
He picked up the phone on the table and dialed, “Leader, I’ve expelled Ling Yao according to your instructions. Okay, I understand. Thank you, Leader!”
The principal put down the phone in a good mood. Xu Lihai had just promised him on the phone that if he had any opportunity to advance, he would consider him first.
As soon as he put down the phone, it rang again.
The principal picked up the phone, “Hello! This is Li Yuan.”
“Principal Li, this is Zhao Kun.”
“Mr. Zhao! Hello! Hello!” Zhao Kun had called him before to say he wanted to donate a library to the school.
Now, Longteng Pharmaceutical was one of the top companies in the country. Zhao Kun was also a famous entrepreneur in China.
He naturally wanted to build a good relationship with Zhao Kun.
