Chapter 90: Rescued

Ling Yao slowly released her grip.

The young man took advantage of the opportunity to break free.

He looked at Ling Yao, a smug smile on his face. He mocked her, “You have some skills. It’s a pity you’re too kind-hearted.”

Ling Yao looked at the young man expressionlessly, “Can you let her go now?”

The young man remained unmoved. He waved his hand at the woman, “Take her to the warehouse.”

“Yes!” The woman responded and escorted Wu Xin towards the warehouse.

Ling Yao wanted to follow.

The young man raised his hand to stop her, “You think I would keep you together? She’s my bargaining chip now.

 I can’t give you another chance to drug them. Otherwise, wouldn’t all my efforts be in vain?”

“I don’t have any medicine on me. That woman already searched me. You can ask her if you don’t believe me.”

“I only believe myself. Unless you let me search you.” The young man smiled evilly.

 His gaze was like a venomous snake, moving up and down Ling Yao’s body. His sinister eyes seemed to penetrate her clothes.

Ling Yao felt a chill run down her spine. Anger surged through her. She clenched her fists tightly, her nails digging deep into her palms.

She wanted to rush over and tear him to shreds.

 But she knew she couldn’t act rashly because Wu Xin was still in their hands. She had to stay calm.

She suppressed her anger, gritting her teeth, refusing to let her emotions get out of control.

“What do you want?”

“Be my woman. Follow me from now on.” The young man’s gaze lingered lasciviously on Ling Yao’s stunningly beautiful face.

 Her skin was as white as jade. Even at such close range, there wasn’t a single flaw.

This perfection ignited a desire for destruction in his heart. He wanted to destroy this beauty, to make her fall into darkness with him.

“Then you might as well kill me.”

“Hahaha…” The young man burst into laughter, his laughter filled with madness and distortion, “That’s a good idea too.

 But I prefer to torture you slowly, to watch you die painfully in front of me. Do you want to try that?”

He spoke, taking a step closer to Ling Yao, a sinister smile on his face.

Ling Yao took a step back, filled with anger and disgust. This sick freak!

Meanwhile, the factory outside had been quietly surrounded.

Lu Qingyun looked at the factory shrouded in darkness, his face calm as water.

“Captain! There are twenty-three people inside, seven of whom are members of the criminal gang.” A soldier beside him reported the situation inside the factory.

Lu Qingyun nodded faintly, “Snipers, get ready. The rest of you split into four groups, infiltrate from the east, west, south, and north. Try to take them all down.”

“Yes!” Everyone quickly split into groups and stealthily infiltrated the hidden corners of the factory.

After everyone separated, Lu Qingyun also quickly and stealthily infiltrated the factory.

His figure was agile and swift, like a leopard hunting in the darkness. Every movement was filled with strength and precision.

 Yaoyao was the most important person in his life. He would never allow her to be harmed.

The young man, unaware of the danger approaching, reached out to touch Ling Yao’s face.

Ling Yao held a silver needle between her fingers. She decided to go all out, eliminate the young man in front of her first, and then find a way to rescue Wu Xin.

Just then, a gunshot broke the silence of the night.

A red bloodstain appeared on the young man’s forehead. Then, the blood slowly spread and quickly gushed out.

The young man widened his eyes and slowly fell to the ground, unwillingly.

The sudden change startled Ling Yao. She instinctively quickly squatted down and looked towards the direction of the gunshot.

Then, a tall and handsome figure appeared in her line of sight. He was walking towards her with firm steps.

The man had sharp eyebrows and starry eyes. His face was handsome and unparalleled, like a god descending to earth.

 At that moment, Ling Yao’s breath seemed to stop. She could only hear her heartbeat echoing in her ears.

Lu Qingyun, how did he get here? Didn’t he go back to the army?

“Yaoyao.” Lu Qingyun’s voice was filled with urgency and concern. He quickly came to Ling Yao, stretched out his hands, and carefully helped her up.

His gaze swept over her, “Are you hurt?”

Ling Yao snapped out of it and shook her head gently. Thinking of Wu Xin still being held by those people, she said, “I’m fine. Wu Xin is inside. Go save her.”

Just then, sounds of fighting came from inside, mixed with a few gunshots.

“Don’t worry, she’ll be fine.” Lu Qingyun had complete faith in his men.

Before long, a group of well-trained soldiers escorted several people out. Behind them were the girls who had been captured.

“Ling Yao.” Wu Xin saw Ling Yao and ran towards her, crying, “I’m sorry! I’m sorry! It’s all my fault.”

She was really scared this time, and she regretted it terribly.

Ling Yao patted Wu Xin’s shoulder and comforted her, “It’s okay. It’s all over now. We’re safe.”

She looked at Lu Qingyun and smiled. It was good that he came.

Lu Qingyun smiled back and turned to his men, “Take these people to the truck.”

Soon, all the members of the gang were tied up and loaded onto the truck. The scene was cleaned up. They found many guns and contraband.

“Yaoyao.” Lu Qingyun walked up to Ling Yao, took her hand, and gazed at her with tenderness and reluctance,

“I’ll have someone take you home first.” He still had to interrogate those people tonight. Once the mission was complete, he had to return to the army.

Lu Qingyun beckoned to a soldier. When the soldier ran over, he ordered, “Take them home.”

“Yes, Captain! I will definitely ensure the safety of the sister-in-law.”

Lu Qingyun glared at him, reluctantly released Ling Yao’s hand, and strode towards the truck carrying the criminals.

Ling Yao looked at Lu Qingyun’s back reluctantly. She didn’t look away until he got into the truck. Then, she went with Wu Xin to another truck.

In the night, the car sped down the road.

When they got home, Ling Yao saw that the lights were still on. She pushed open the door and quickly walked in.
