Chapter 31: Business Troubles
Su Ai arranged the food on the table, and the family of three began to eat dinner.
“Although I haven’t counted the money yet, there’s at least this much.”
Su Ai held up five fingers.
Ji Yang looked at Su Ai intently, smiling and nodding: “Amazing.”
“Su Ai, you’re great.”
Lele didn’t know what his parents were talking about, but since his father praised his mother, he also followed suit: “Mom, you’re so great!”
Su Ai ruffled the child’s head and laughed: “You know I’m great just because you know what we’re talking about?”
Ji Lele nodded seriously: “Mom is great, Mom cooks great, and Mom is great at fighting.”
“Pfft, hahaha.”
Su Ai smiled and looked at her son’s little head.
“Lele is also great.”
“Taking care of Dad is great.”
The family of three ate dinner happily together.
After dinner, Su Ai helped Ji Yang wash up, and then helped him with his personal needs. Once everything was tidied up, Ji Yang asked Su Ai to go home quickly.
“Go back and rest early.”
“Lele will sleep with me tonight; he can stay here.”
“You don’t have to run back and forth to bring us breakfast in the morning. I’ve talked to the brother next door; his mother can bring it back for us when she buys breakfast.”
“Get some more rest.”
Ji Yang was lying in bed unable to do anything and hoped to share some of the burden with Su Ai.
Su Ai didn’t refuse Ji Yang’s kindness.
“Okay.”
“Just a few more hard days.” Su Ai kissed Ji Yang.
Ji Yang shook his head: “I’m not tired; you’re the one who’s too tired.”
Su Ai didn’t argue about this: “Then I’ll go back first.”
“Okay.”
When Su Ai went home that night, she wasn’t idle. She had used up all the day’s supplies, and she still had to buy plastic cups, hawthorn, and milk powder.
It was almost ten o’clock when she got back from buying things.
Su Ai threw her things down and fell asleep.
The next day, she got up early to work again.
Today, she had enough time, so she didn’t go to the hospital in the morning. She simply prepared all the goods she needed to sell for the day.
She was almost busy non-stop, her waist and back aching from exhaustion, before she finally finished processing everything.
Su Ai wiped the sweat from her forehead.
“This young body is still good. If it were that aging body from my last life, doing this much work, I probably would have already kicked the bucket.”
After checking the time, she still had time, so Su Ai washed her hair and changed her clothes.
Those who sell food can’t be dirty or smelly.
Her own sweaty hair was sticking to her forehead, looking oily. Who would like to buy from someone like that?
After drying her hair, she went to set up her stall on her tricycle, buying some breakfast along the way.
When she arrived at the entrance of the cinema, Su Ai quickly set up her things. After a while, Chen Jianguo came. His face was still sour, and he looked displeased at Su Ai and was about to speak.
Su Ai, however, first smiled and handed Chen Jianguo the breakfast she had just bought.
“Big Brother, I bought breakfast and brought you one too.”
“Thank you so much for your help.”
“You’re such a good person.”
“Your clothes are even more handsome today; at first glance, you’re going to captivate many girls.”
Su Ai said a lot of nice things, and before Chen Jianguo could open his mouth, the breakfast in his hand started to feel a little hot.
He had originally wanted to angrily tell Su Ai to return the table and not let her use it, but now he couldn’t say anything.
His anger also dissipated when he met Su Ai’s smiling face.
He responded uncomfortably twice, then dejectedly took his breakfast and returned to his workplace.
Su Ai shook her head and continued to work.
Soon, business began to pick up.
Su Ai had bought breakfast but hadn’t had time to eat it.
At first, she was very hungry, so hungry that she felt dizzy, but gradually, the hunger passed, and she didn’t feel hungry anymore. When she had some free time, she ate a couple of buns, but then she couldn’t eat anymore.
She persevered until noon.
With no customers left, Su Ai packed up her stall and went home to cook.
Today, she didn’t need to prepare any more ingredients for lunch, so she could rest a little longer at the hospital.
She just needed to get back to her business before the afternoon showing started.
Su Ai arrived at the hospital with the food. Ji Lele was carrying a urinal towards the restroom.
The catheter had been removed today, and Lele was entirely responsible for taking care of his father.
Su Ai gave Ji Yang water to wash his hands before setting out the meal.
She was really tired today; Su Ai spoke little, and Ji Yang and Lele didn’t say much either.
After washing the dishes, Su Ai rested against a chair. Ji Yang looked at her with some heartache: “Why don’t you go back and sleep for a while?”
Su Ai shook her head.
“I might not be able to sleep if I go back.”
“Just closing my eyes for a bit here with you two is fine; it’s peaceful.”
Ji Yang patted the empty space beside him: “Come lie down on the bed for a while?”
“Okay.”
Su Ai lay down directly. Ji Yang sat half-upright, and Su Ai lay on her side on his abdomen, closing her eyes to rest.
Ji Yang reached out and gently massaged Su Ai’s shoulders.
“Mom, I’ll massage your legs for you.” Ji Lele used both his small hands and fists to massage Su Ai’s calves. Su Ai immediately gasped.
She curled up.
Her legs were quite sore from standing for the past two days.
“Mom, I’ll be gentle~”
The child gently pounded her legs.
Someone was also gently massaging her shoulders.
Su Ai hadn’t intended to sleep, but it was so comfortable that she actually fell asleep.
Seeing that Su Ai’s breathing was steady, Ji Yang gestured to Ji Lele, and the child obediently sat to the side.
Ji Yang moved closer to Su Ai, putting one arm around her and handing the game console to Ji Lele: “Lele, do you want to play the game console for a while? Dad will tell you a story after Mom wakes up.”

Ji Lele played obediently, and Ji Yang held Su Ai, gently patting her.
There were too many people in the ward; he really wanted to kiss Su Ai.
Holding her, he felt his heart was full.
He really liked, really liked Su Ai.
He liked her more and more now.
By the time Su Ai woke up, it was almost 2 PM.
Su Ai hurried off again.
Today’s business was even better than yesterday’s.
Su Ai went back and counted the money. She made over 600 yuan on the first day.
On the second day, because she was well-prepared, she made over 800 yuan.
Su Ai continued to work hard. On the third and fourth days, she also made around 800 yuan each day.
On the fifth day, another stall appeared at the entrance.
It sold the same things as Su Ai.
It only took five days for someone else to start selling the same things; Su Ai thought it was almost the limit.
That day’s sales were halved, only reaching 500 yuan.
Su Ai packed up early and went home.
The next day, Chen Jianguo was bowing and scraping in front of a man with a beer belly.
Su Ai thought this man was the boss.
The boss was clearly unhappy.
“Get rid of all these street vendors!”
“The cleaning staff have told me several times; they sell food and drinks, why should I help them clean up the garbage?”
“Look at that cinema entrance.”
“Can you even walk there now?”
“It’s lucky it’s winter; if it were summer, there would be flies everywhere.”
“It’s a complete mess!”
