Chapter 40: I Fucking Love You
“What?” Ji Yang’s mind was a blank; he only responded reflexively.
“I fucking love you.”
Boom!
His mind seemed to explode with colorful fireworks, constantly blooming.
His already watery eyes trembled slightly, and tears rolled down his cheeks again.
His fingertip wiped away the tears from his eyes.
Then he gently kissed his eyes.
“Yes, you can cry in bed.”
“I like it.”
Ji Yang’s rationality slowly returned; his exposed skin was flushed red.
“Su Ai!” He chided.
Su Ai shivered: “Don’t shout, don’t shout, if you shout again, you won’t be able to leave tonight.”
She could kiss her husband, but!
His leg was injured.
That’s as far as it could go.
“I’m leaving; you should rest early too.”
Su Ai was afraid she wouldn’t be able to control herself if she stayed any longer, so she left hurriedly.
Ji Yang was left sitting half-upright, dumbfounded.
No…
She just left like that?
This bed is big enough for two.
Watching Su Ai close the door, Ji Yang felt an inexplicable sense of loss.
He chided her, but he didn’t actually object; he even had a subtle expectation.
Ji Yang thought, this was where he was inferior to Su Ai.
Su Ai’s desires were passionate and clear.
[“I fucking love you, Ji Yang.”]
Su Ai’s easily spoken words made Ji Yang involuntarily smile.
He gently lay down, smiling as he looked at his son in his arms.
He couldn’t help but kiss his son too.
He really liked his current family.
He really, really liked it.
Su Ai went back, took a shower, wrote something on a piece of paper, and then went to sleep on her small bed.
But after sleeping for a while, Su Ai suddenly heard a noise. She opened her eyes in the darkness.
Soon, Su Ai heard heavy footsteps.
Someone was climbing over the wall.
Su Ai cautiously got up from bed, didn’t turn on the light, and went to the window to look secretly.
In the moonlight, she saw a familiar shadow sneaking towards the main house.
Zhang Datou!
Zhang Datou stared intently at the house in the darkness, his eyes filled with anger and hatred.
His wife had run away, and his son had humiliated him.
He couldn’t retaliate against his wife, and alone in his house, he became angrier and angrier. After drinking a bottle of alcohol, Su Ai’s arrogant image kept flashing in his mind.
Why? Why were they doing so well, while he was so pathetic?
He wanted to kill Su Ai.
The arrogant bitch, he would rape her in front of her crippled husband and that little bastard. He wanted to see if Su Ai could still be so arrogant.
He walked towards the house step by step. Because he had drunk so much, he didn’t feel scared at all; instead, he felt excited.
Thinking of Su Ai’s face, her appearance, her figure, he felt a surge of heat in his chest.
However, the moment he touched the doorknob, there was a bang.
Everything went black, and he collapsed.
In the darkness, Su Ai’s eyes were cold as ice, looking at Zhang Datou as if he were a dead man.
In her past life, Su Ai had handled countless matters for those big bosses; if she had been kind-hearted and soft, she wouldn’t have been able to handle that job.
Zhang Datou dared to sneak in, clearly intending to harm her or her family.
Su Ai really wanted to get rid of him once and for all.
“Su Ai? Did you fall?” Ji Yang heard the noise inside and got out of bed.
Su Ai took a deep breath, opened the door, and smiled slightly.
“No, I got up to go to the toilet and accidentally knocked over the carrying pole at the door. It’s fine; go back to sleep.”
Ji Yang looked out in the moonlight; Su Ai was standing there unharmed, so he felt relieved.
“Be careful.”
“Mm.”
Su Ai closed the door and went out.
Looking at Zhang Datou on the ground, she felt he was lucky.
This life, she had a husband and a child, and a long way to go; she didn’t want to be stained with blood.
Su Ai dragged him into the yard, far from the room.
Then she gently tapped rhythmically on Zhang Datou’s ear.
The rhythmic tapping sounded like rain.
Although Zhang Datou didn’t open his eyes, his mind was clearly active; his eyeballs rolled back and forth under his eyelids.
At first, they rolled quickly, but as Su Ai tapped, they gradually slowed down.
Su Ai then whispered in Zhang Datou’s ear: “Tonight, you drank too much and felt upset.”
“You wanted to go out for a walk, and as you walked, you reached the mountain.”
“You felt like a failure, a loser, that your life was hopeless, you looked at the…”
Su Ai repeated this three times, then threw Zhang Datou out of the door.
After Su Ai closed the door and went back inside, she snapped her fingers.
Zhang Datou, lying on the ground, instantly stood up.
He felt dizzy; the moonlight tonight made him feel restless.
He couldn’t help but think about his failures again and again: his wife had run away with someone, he was getting old, he had no money, he was a loser.
No one looked up to him.
He walked forward, wanting to go somewhere far away.
Then he reached the top of the mountain, where he struggled in pain and anguish before finally jumping down.
Su Ai closed the door, went back to bed, and slept until she woke up naturally.
In the morning, Su Ai calmly made breakfast, as if nothing had happened last night.
Last night, Su Ai had made dough; she quickly steamed leek and egg, and tofu buns.
Since she had made dough, she steamed two baskets; she was too lazy to make a small amount.
She cooked some multigrain porridge, all green and pollution-free ingredients from her own field, which Su Ai found fragrant.
After making the meal, Su Ai helped Ji Yang wash up before waking Lele up.
“Mom, I want to sleep more.”
“Mom is going to the county. Do you want to sleep at home or come with Mom?”
Lele immediately shook his head frantically, patting his face.
“I’m not sleepy anymore, Mom. I’m awake.”
Ji Yang looked at Su Ai carefully. Last night, he heard a noise that didn’t sound like a carrying pole falling; it sounded like someone falling.
He was worried that Su Ai was injured but didn’t say anything.
But seeing Su Ai moving freely, she didn’t seem to have fallen; she was even wearing the same clothes as yesterday, and they weren’t dirty.
Only then did Ji Yang feel relieved.
The family of three ate breakfast, and Su Ai left a few buns in the pot for Ji Yang.
“If we come back late for lunch, eat a couple of buns if you’re hungry.”
“Okay.”
“Then Lele and I will go first.”
“Okay.”
“Be careful, and Lele must listen to Mom.”
“Okay, Dad, bye-bye. Dad, be good at home, and Lele will bring you candy when we come back~”
Ji Yang couldn’t help but smile and waved goodbye to his wife and son.
Su Ai went to the county, took out the note she had written last night, and went to the department store to start shopping crazily.
