90: Back to the Month Before my Husband’s Tragic Death Chapter 7

Chapter 7: Playing with Everyone

Smoke curled in her mouth, then exhaled into the night, forming a ring of white mist.

Li Jianbing’s eyes widened. Su Ai was incredibly beautiful; her arrogance was unlike any other woman, and her figure was stunning.  He’d die happy if he could have her just once.

Su Ai narrowed her eyes, a cold glint in them. Her fingertips brushed against something at her waist.

She took only one puff of the cigarette, letting the harsh taste barely suppress the emotions and hatred churning in her chest. Then she threw the unfinished cigarette on the ground and crushed it with her foot.

A Phoenix bicycle stood beside the man. Su Ai mounted it, propping it up with one foot: “Let’s go, I’m riding today.”

“That’s Hongqiqu, three yuan a pack! One cigarette costs several cents, and you throw it away after one puff? What a waste!”

“It’s not your cigarette, so you don’t care.”

“Let me tell you, Su Ai, with your looks and figure, if you were willing to become a prostitute or a dancer in a nightclub, I’d be a regular customer, and you’d make a lot of money.”

Li Jianbing hopped onto the back of the bicycle and pinched Su Ai’s waist.

His lecherous expression was nauseating.  But instead of her waist, he touched something hard.

“What’s that on your waist? It’s so hard.”

Su Ai slowly pedaled the bicycle, the wind carrying her voice from front to back, making it sound slightly ethereal and chilling in the night.

“It’s not safe for girls to go out alone at night. I carry something for self-defense.”

“If you keep groping, I guarantee your hand will be separated from your fingers.”

For some reason, Li Jianbing felt something was off about Su Ai tonight.

She hadn’t used any swear words, hadn’t even cursed, yet he dared not act up.

In the dark night, Li Jianbing became quiet, not daring to say a word.  Even when worried about falling off the bumpy road, he only dared to hold onto the back of the bicycle, not daring to touch Su Ai.

It was dark, and he didn’t know where Su Ai was going. They hadn’t discussed a destination, but he assumed she was heading to the county’s gambling den.  Where else would she go at this hour besides gambling?

But the further they went, the more the route seemed wrong. Though he couldn’t see clearly, having grown up here, he had a good sense of direction.

The bicycle stopped at the entrance of a familiar yard, causing Li Jianbing to widen his eyes.

Damn it! This wasn’t the road to the gambling den, but to the Black Boss’s house.

Who was the Black Boss? He was the one who paid Li Jianbing to set Su Ai up.

In her past life, Su Ai had initially liked fighting and boasting, but she didn’t gamble.  It was after meeting Li Jianbing that he introduced her to gambling, where she initially won a lot of money.

After becoming addicted, she started losing continuously.  Li Jianbing then introduced her to the Black Boss, who lent her money.

In her past life, young Su Ai didn’t understand the intricacies, but the Su Ai who had experienced the cutthroat business world knew these tricks all too well.

Through her investigations in her past life, she knew the whole story.

The Black Boss was in cahoots with disreputable nightclubs. He had his eye on Su Ai and wanted to force her into prostitution to make money for him.

So he paid Li Jianbing to get her into gambling.

All the gambling scams followed the same pattern: initially letting you win, then making you lose, encouraging you to borrow when you’re desperate, and then demanding repayment.

If you couldn’t repay, various consequences followed.

Women were forced into prostitution, men into becoming thugs, or even selling their children, wives, or themselves.

But Su Ai had another, more important reason for coming tonight: Li Jianbing was the one who broke Ji Yang’s leg.

And the Black Boss was the one who later killed Ji Yang and Ji Lele.

Old and new grudges Su Ai would never let these two disgusting bastards go.

No matter how flawed Su Ai’s character, it wasn’t a justification for others to plot against her.

Moreover, these people had collaborated on these vile schemes countless times, harming countless others.

Li Jianbing, confused and apprehensive, asked from behind: “Su Ai, what are you doing here?”

Su Ai dismounted, forcefully pushing the bicycle over.  Before Li Jianbing could get off, he and the bicycle fell to the ground.

The bicycle landed on his leg, causing him to scream.

“Damn it! Su Ai, what the hell are you doing?!”

“You goddamn…”

Before he could finish cursing, Su Ai grabbed his collar, kicked open the door, and dragged him into the yard.

Even at night, the room was smoky, filled with men sitting or standing, one after another, muscular men with tattooed arms, looking fierce.

The sound of the door opening caught their attention; many turned to look, the atmosphere instantly tense.

The noisy room fell silent. Those who had been gambling looked at each other, picking up their weapons.

There were sticks and long knives. They slowly came out of the room and approached the yard.

A bald man with extensive chest tattoos and dark skin leaned against the table, smoking and exhaling slowly.  Behind him, several henchmen looked at Su Ai with amusement. This was the Black Boss.

The atmosphere was heavy, but Su Ai violently threw Li Jianbing to the ground and kicked him in the stomach.

With a howl, Li Jianbing was sent flying from Su Ai’s foot to the wall. He lay on the ground, clutching his stomach, curled into a ball.

Su Ai, standing in the yard, was 1.7 meters tall, wearing a black leather jacket adorned with metal chains, black leather pants that accentuated her slender legs.  She looked like a gangster.

The Black Boss smiled meaningfully, stroking his chin: “Stinky woman, looking for trouble?”

His henchmen echoed, “Boss, she’s looking for death!”

“Boss, this woman is delivering herself.  She has a great figure.  Should we let the brothers have some fun later?”

The Black Boss’s gaze locked onto Su Ai: “Have fun!  I’ll take the blame if she dies!”

“Let me introduce myself, I’m Su Ai.” Su Ai walked to Li Jianbing, kicking him with each sentence.

“I’m here to play with everyone.”

She kicked Li Jianbing everywhere his stomach, back, head until he couldn’t even scream.

“Don’t worry, one by one.”

“I heard you gave Li Jianbing money to set me up.  This idiot did a good job; not only did he set me up, he also broke my husband’s leg.”
