90: Back to the Month Before my Husband’s Tragic Death Chapter 8

Chapter 8: Sister Su, I was wrong

Li Jianbing, beaten to a pulp, looked at Su Ai in disbelief. How did she know?

Su Ai bent down and picked up a stick, as thick as a wrist.

Li Jianbing, bruised and bleeding, struggled to crawl backward, his eyes full of terror. He wanted to get away from Su Ai, but the pain in his abdomen prevented him from moving.

“Su Ai, what are you going to do? I’m telling you, I’m Blackie’s man!”

“Boss! Save me! Ah!!!”

Su Ai raised the stick and smashed it down on his leg.

A crack echoed; everyone present clearly heard the sound of breaking bones.

One of Li Jianbing’s legs was broken by Su Ai.

Intense pain surged through his body, causing him to convulse and spasm on the spot.

“You can bully me, but you can’t bully my husband and child!” Su Ai’s fierce gaze swept across everyone present.  Raising the stick again, she smashed it down on Li Jianbing’s other leg.

Another crack.  Li Jianbing’s two legs lay on the ground at an unnatural angle.

“You broke Ji Yang’s leg, so you’ll pay with both of yours.”  Looking at the unconscious Li Jianbing, Su Ai let out a breath.  The anger she’d held since her rebirth finally dissipated slightly.

Her actions were swift and decisive.  The way she broke someone’s legs without hesitation made everyone present frown. This woman was ruthless.

Her voice was like ice shards, plunging everyone into the dead of winter.  Her knife-like gaze swept across everyone present.  Her voice wasn’t loud, but it was dangerous enough: “But the rules have changed.”

“From now on, don’t mess with me!”

“On my turf, you dare set rules for me? Little bitch, you’ve got some nerve!”

“You crippled my brother in front of me. If I let you leave alive, I might as well quit this underworld business!”

“Don’t mess with me?”

“I’ll show you what happens when you mess with me!” The Black Boss’s face was filled with rage.  With a bang, he smashed a bottle on the table to the ground.

He was fast, but Su Ai was faster. Before his men could react, Su Ai pulled out a sharpened kitchen knife from her waist.

Before the Black Boss’s dozen or so men could react, Su Ai struck decisively, knocking down two of them.

Blood spilled instantly.

The others rushed forward, but Su Ai threw away her kitchen knife, grabbed one of their long knives, and fought against more than a dozen people alone.

The small-town thugs usually only dealt with street vendors, helped beat people up, or at most, crippled someone’s limbs that was already considered brutal.

But Su Ai’s skills were honed in the fires of hell.

Gangsters in big cities were involved in all sorts of things.  The business environment in this era was bad; in later years, they’d use their phones to plot, killing silently, but in this era, it was a real fight to the death.

Su Ai had seen it all; she wasn’t afraid of these punks. They were bullies who preyed on the weak.

If you’re stronger and more ruthless than them, they won’t dare to touch you.

Su Ai fought evenly against more than a dozen people with a single knife. Some were only scratched, and they fled in terror.

Even when Su Ai was hit on the head with a club and suffered head wounds, she got back up and kept fighting.

Soon, the dozen or so men were terrified.

One by one, their men fell, until only two or three remained, far from Su Ai. They held their knives but didn’t dare approach, their hands trembling.

The smell of blood filled the air.  Blood flowed down her forehead, creating a terrifying sight.

Blood flowed into her eyes, turning her eyeballs bloodshot.  Su Ai’s knife pointed at someone, and they would back away.

She spat out some blood and looked at the Black Boss, who approached with a knife.

“Stinky woman, so what if you’re brave? Can you keep fighting?”

“I’ll chop you into mincemeat and feed you to the dogs!”

Su Ai’s knife clattered to the ground; everyone thought she had given up.

But she pulled out a black object from her waist a gun!

Everyone recoiled in fear.

The Black Boss’s furious face was instantly replaced by terror.  His knees buckled, and he knelt down:

“Ms. Su, I’m sorry.  Let’s talk this out.  We don’t need to resort to violence!”

He only bullied powerless people.  This thing could kill, and it wasn’t something ordinary people could get.

“Oh really? That’s not what you said earlier,” Su Ai said coldly, unmoved.

Seeing the black metal gun gleaming coldly, the Black Boss slapped himself repeatedly.

“Ms. Su, we’re enemies no more, enemies no more.”

“Hurry up and get Ms. Su the money she lost.”

“I was blind before, I was a fool, I was lowly. I won’t dare to do it again, Ms. Su.”

“Ms. Su, this is a small token of my apology. Please accept it, and just forget about me.”

With a gun in her hand, the Black Boss didn’t dare to act rashly.

His arrogant demeanor vanished instantly.  He bowed and smiled, handing the money to Su Ai.

But Su Ai pointed the gun at his forehead.  The cold touch told him this was real.

The gun was definitely real.

“Ms. Su, I’m a beast, a monster. Please forgive me, please forgive me…”

The Black Boss kowtowed to Su Ai, so scared he was about to wet himself.

Su Ai wished the gun were real so she could shoot him.

But murder was illegal.

She couldn’t risk her or her child’s future.

She hadn’t been reborn to avenge these scumbags.

Su Ai used the gun to slap him twice.

The force was so great that the Black Boss spat out two teeth.

“Did you understand what I said earlier?”

“Don’t bother me, and especially don’t bother my husband and child.  Otherwise, this gun has no eyes.”

“And this knife isn’t a vegetarian!” Su Ai’s voice was suppressed and fierce.

This was just a small taste of revenge.  Don’t think she’ll let them off just by beating them up. Su Ai would make sure they would die without a burial place.

Secondly, she needed money to take Ji Yang to the hospital for treatment.

And she didn’t want them to bother them again, so this was a warning, and a small taste of revenge.
