Delayed Affection is Cheaper than Grass; Why Cry When I Depart? Chapter 124

Chapter 124

There was a brief pause!

Xie Bingyan then stormed over with red eyes.

First, she picked up a plate of vegetables and smashed it on Xu Deming’s head, then she grabbed a water glass and splashed it in his face.

Xu Deming was stunned and quickly stood up. Xie Bingyan grabbed another plate of food and continued to throw it at Xu Deming, splashing him all over.

Xu Mo stood up, pulling Lu Hongluan back a few steps, and soon saw the two of them grappling with each other.

Lu Xiangru was somewhat surprised when Xie Bingyan came over, but Xu Mo had already vouched for her just now, so she wasn’t very surprised.

Even when Xie Bingyan wanted to tear into her, she wasn’t surprised. Xu Deming helped stop her.

Xie Bingyan became even more enraged. She snatched a plate of food from a nearby waiter and continued to smash it onto Xu Deming, glaring at him.

As she tore and roared angrily, she resembled a furious she-wolf.

Xu Wanting, Xu Shuying, and Xu Yuanchan were at a loss, unsure whom to help.

When Xu Deming attempted to retaliate, Xu Wanting finally reacted and went over to stop him from fighting back.

The two continued grappling, accompanied by furious shouts. Xu Deming kept cursing angrily at Xie Bingyan, further provoking her madness.

However, Xie Bingyan clearly had no intention of letting him off easily. Growling fiercely, she tried to pounce on Lu Xiangru. Seeing this, Xu Deming hurriedly shielded Lu Xiangru protectively behind him.

Xie Bingyan was clearly even more furious this time, slapping Xu Deming across the face with a resounding smack.

If she hadn’t slapped him, things might have been better, but after she did, Xu Deming became extremely angry and started to fight back against Xie Bingyan.

Xu Mo pulled Lu Hongluan and sat down at a nearby table, poured himself a cup of tea, and leisurely took a sip.

The scene didn’t end there; it was clear it would continue for a while longer. Xu Mo even picked up some snacks, eating slowly while watching.

Xie Bingyan had started crying, and Xu Deming was already in a sorry state, his clothes torn by Xie Bingyan.

However, Lu Xiangru, protected by Xu Deming, didn’t suffer much from the altercation.

Now Lu Xiangru was determined to fight for her daughter’s status and didn’t mind confronting Xie Bingyan, striving for the rightful position and status for her daughter.

Because Xu Mo had vouched for her, she quietly avoided any direct confrontation, even when occasionally caught by Xie Bingyan’s actions.

The three of them fought for a long time. Xu Wanting and Xu Shuying were forced to join in, trying to pull Xu Deming away and teach Lu Xiangru a lesson.

But Xu Deming wouldn’t allow them to do so.

He quickly pushed them away, wanting Lu Xiangru to leave first.

This made Xie Bingyan even more furious. She continued to roar, shout, and relentlessly hit Xu Deming, tearing his clothes apart.

Lu Xiangru’s clothes were also torn a bit, but overall, she was relatively unscathed. After causing quite a scene for a while, Xu Wanting suddenly remembered something and glanced back.

She saw Xu Mo and Lu Hongluan sitting on the other side, with several plates of snacks in front of them, leisurely watching.

Occasionally, Xu Mo even took out his phone to snap a few pictures, seemingly wanting to keep them as mementos.

Xu Wanting almost choked!

After a while, everyone calmed down.

Xu Deming looked extremely displeased, his whole body in a sorry state. Nevertheless, he showed some loyalty by standing up to protect Lu Xiangru.

Lu Xiangru, seeing that the situation had calmed down, hurriedly stood up, straightened her clothes, and came over to where Xu Mo was.

Xu Mo glanced at her and nodded, indicating for her to sit beside him.

Upon seeing this, Lu Xiangru sat down next to her daughter and adjusted her clothing.

Xu Mo picked up a cup of tea and handed it to her, then continued to leisurely eat a snack while watching the rather chaotic scene not far away, resembling a trash heap.

Xu Wanting, Xu Shuying, and Xu Yuanchan suddenly looked extremely unpleasant.

The scene fell silent once again, with not a sound to be heard.

Tense and silent.

Xu Deming glanced around, his face looking grim. After struggling for a moment, he also came over to where Xu Mo was.

His whole body was a mess; his upper clothes were torn apart, and he looked battered all over.

It wasn’t clear if it was from spilled condiments or injuries.

However, Xie Bingyan hadn’t come at him with a knife; it seemed like it was just condiments on him.

Of course, even so, the slap marks and scratches on his body were still clearly visible, showing just how vicious Xie Bingyan had been.

Suddenly!

No one spoke.

Xu Deming straightened his clothes, his expression silent, without saying a word.

Xu Wanting, Xu Shuying, and Xu Yuanchan also dared not speak. Xu Mo continued eating, maintaining his leisurely demeanor, looking content.

Xie Bingyan sat on the ground, crying, while Xu Yuanchan supported her.

After a while, Xie Bingyan finally stood up from her chair.

Upon seeing this, Xu Deming angrily asked, “Xie Bingyan, have you caused enough trouble?”

Xie Bingyan glanced at him, her eyes full of anger. Her fiery red eyes seemed capable of tearing him to shreds.

However, she didn’t speak, turning her gaze towards Xu Mo.

She stared straight at Xu Mo for a while, then walked over.

Worried she might harm Xu Mo, Xu Deming quickly stood up. “Xie Bingyan, have you not caused enough trouble? I’m telling you, it ends here today!”

Ignoring him completely, Xie Bingyan soon arrived at the table opposite Xu Mo.

“Sit down,” Xu Mo gestured towards a chair.

Now Xie Bingyan was in disarray, covered with vegetable traces everywhere, her hair extremely messy.

But despite being in such a state, she maintained her inherent elegance and aristocratic air as a wealthy young lady.

After a moment of silence, she didn’t sit down but remained in a deep silence.

Her body trembled violently, her eyes seemingly filled with despair and intense anger.

“Xu Mo, you…” Xu Wanting couldn’t help but speak.

“Hongluan is my sister. I want her to join the Xu family and be registered in the Xu family household,” Xu Mo calmly stated. “I think Xu Deming should agree. What do you say?”

He looked at Xu Wanting.

Xu Wanting stood there, mouth agape in shock. Others were equally surprised.

“If there are no objections, then that’s settled,” Xu Mo said calmly, taking a sip of tea. “Two years ago, when I wanted to move the household registration, you all opposed it. So now, I believe I still have a say in decisions. This matter should be resolved as soon as possible. Hongluan should receive the recognition she deserves.”

Silence followed.

Xu Wanting, Xu Shuying, and the others dared not speak, disbelief and trembling filling their hearts.

After her earlier outburst, Xie Bingyan was now eerily silent.

Her breathing was heavy.

After a long while, she spoke hoarsely, “Are you really planning to do this?”

Her tone sounded neither joyful nor sorrowful.

“I really do,” Xu Mo shrugged. “I believe it’s the best outcome for everyone.”

“Are you really willing to go against me?” Xie Bingyan continued, her voice hoarse and trembling, with a hint of determination.

Xu Mo chuckled. He stood up, smiling somewhat happily. “It’s not like it’s the first time, is it? Haven’t you realized this by now? I’ve always been alone, unafraid to tread on thorns, never afraid of getting blood on my hands. Today, I’m going to protect them!”
