“You Smell So Good…”
Ruan Yuexi looked at Shang Yao with confusion. Shang Yao’s eyes remained fixed on her, with a surprising depth of restraint.
Ruan Yuexi didn’t notice this and was curious about the breakfast Shang Yao had made. She left the room and went to the kitchen.
The breakfast on the table was visually and aromatically appealing. Without his saying, she would have almost thought it was made by a professional chef. However, Ruan Yuexi, feeling a bit prideful, forced herself to say, “It looks just okay.”
Then she sat down awkwardly and took a few bites. Ruan Yuexi was stunned—the taste was as good as a professional chef’s.
Shang Yao watched her stubbornly refuse to admit it, and Ruan Yuexi ended up eating until she was quite full.
“You know what? The breakfast you made is really delicious.” Ruan Yuexi said, leaning back in her chair, particularly satisfied.
“Not as tasty as you,” Shang Yao responded with a cold tone, using a cheesy line, which made Ruan Yuexi want to laugh.
“Can you show some expressions when you’re saying these cheesy lines?” It was too funny to hear such greasy talk without any expression.
Shang Yao ignored Ruan Yuexi and poured her a glass of milk. “Drink another glass.” He then cleaned up the table and quickly washed the dishes.
Ruan Yuexi was astonished that this pervert could have such a considerate side; it was truly unbelievable.
So she continued to watch Shang Yao, wondering what kind of madness he was experiencing.
“Do you find it attractive?” Shang Yao suddenly asked.
Ruan Yuexi responded foolishly, “Yes, it’s attractive.” It wasn’t until after she said it that she realized what she had just said.
She blushed with embarrassment. “I… I’m going to watch TV.” She got up and fled.
She spent an extremely awkward afternoon. When evening came, it started to rain, and the door was knocked on.
Shang Yao was taking a shower in the bathroom. Ruan Yuexi looked at the door, wondering who it could be so late. She went to peek through the peephole and was startled by what she saw.
It was Ye Yishen! How did this yandere know where she lived? Ruan Yuexi panicked, worried that the Yandere might really be interested in her.
At this moment, Shang Yao came out of the bathroom. “Who is it?” His eyes, like crystal, reflected an indistinct light.
Ruan Yuexi felt somewhat relieved to see Shang Yao. “It’s Ye Yishen.”
Shang Yao pursed his lips and opened the door. Ye Yishen, who might not have expected Shang Yao to answer, was momentarily stunned.
“You’re here too,” Ye Yishen said with a delicate smile towards Shang Yao.
Shang Yao stared at him. “What’s the matter?”
“Just came to see Yuexi,” Ye Yishen said, seemingly unafraid of Shang Yao.
Tension flared between Shang Yao and Ye Yishen, with an invisible fire swirling around them.
Ruan Yuexi felt like a bystander in this battle of a pervert and an obsessive person, estimating that they were evenly matched.
Shang Yao moved to try and close the door again, but Ye Yishen noticed and managed to prevent it from shutting.
The two men continued their silent struggle, and soon they were physically fighting each other.
With punches being exchanged and Ruan Yuexi unable to stop them, they ended up wrestling fiercely.
Ruan Yuexi eventually gave up on trying to mediate and just sat on the sofa, watching them fight and not being able to separate them.
“Are you looking for death?” Shang Yao’s cold gaze was like looking at a dead person.
Ye Yishen didn’t seem to find it frightening. “What’s to fear in death? I don’t like living alone, but I don’t want to die alone either.” His meaning was to drag others down with him.
The two paused and “locked eyes” once more. Ruan Yuexi almost wanted to move the civil affairs bureau to them. What a perfect match! The way they looked and talked was true love.
They even wanted to die together. Ruan Yuexi was almost moved, but every second they started fighting again, embodying the phrase “love and kill.”
The final outcome was that Ye Yishen went back to his own place next door, and Shang Yao was in the living room, seemingly working on his computer.
Ruan Yuexi, upon hearing that Ye Yishen had bought the house next door, was almost at her breaking point.
Another one arrives before the first has left, making her life unbearable. Frustrated, Ruan Yuexi buried herself under the blanket, silently lamenting.
What Ruan Yuexi didn’t expect was that this was just the appetizer—“the main event” was yet to come.
In the following days, Ruan Yuexi felt like she was living a nightmare. Shang Yao kept circling around her, and Ye Yishen joined in, making it even worse. The two of them were constantly at each other.
They frequently fought and clashed. At first, Ruan Yuexi tried to mediate, but eventually she just watched, curious about how long they could keep it up.
Whenever Ruan Yuexi went out, they followed her like bodyguards, which she chose to ignore, treating them as if they were free bodyguards.
When she returned home and her shoelace came undone, she bent down to tie it, but Ye Yishen stopped her, looking at her with intense affection.
“I’ll do it,” he said, bending down to tie her shoelace, but Shang Yao kicked him away.
Shang Yao wanted to carry Ruan Yuexi home, not letting her move a foot, but Ye Yishen, unwilling to back down, pushed Shang Yao.
The two fought again outside the elevator, neither willing to give in.
Ruan Yuexi watched, feeling utterly helpless, as the two fought endlessly. She thought, “Just leave me alone! Please!”
The commotion attracted the attention of the neighbors. A woman and a child peeked out to see what was happening.
The neighbor woman was shocked, thinking, “This woman is amazing! First one, then two, and they’re both so handsome. I’m so envious! How great would it be to have their looks.”
Feeling extremely embarrassed, Ruan Yuexi couldn’t stand it anymore and went back home. The two men, noticing her departure, continued fighting as they went inside.
The ongoing disturbance was unbearable for Ruan Yuexi, but she couldn’t control the power of these two men.
She agreed to go back to the villa with Shang Yao, at least to avoid seeing them every day. Now, just seeing Ye Yishen and Shang Yao together made her head ache.
What she didn’t expect was that when she returned to the villa, not only did Ye Yishen still not leave, but two more people also arrived.
Ning Chen and Lu Yiliang arrived right after Ruan Yuexi got to the villa.
The scene became even more chaotic. Ruan Yuexi watched as the four of them gathered, unable to drive Shang Yao away.
The four people continued their back and forth, each refusing to yield. Ruan Yuexi covered her face, feeling hopeless, and thought, “Help me! Just let me be!”
Tang Qingqing knew that Lu Yiliang had gone to bother Ruan Yuexi and that Shang Yao’s attitude had completely changed towards her. She felt both anxious and jealous.
Accumulated emotions made Tang Qingqing harbor a grudge, but she didn’t intend to do anything to Ruan Yuexi. She just felt unwilling to accept the situation.
Soon after, there was a banquet that Luo Yuqin wanted Ruan Yuexi and Shang Yao to attend. Ruan Yuexi didn’t want to refuse, thinking it was just a banquet, and decided to go.
The night before the banquet, Ruan Yuexi forgot to take her pajamas after a bath, so she had to wrap herself in a towel and leave the room. Little did she know, she ran into Shang Yao again.
Shang Yao’s gaze was fixed on her, taking in the breathtaking scene of her emerging from the bath. Ruan Yuexi’s body went cold, and she quickly tried to retreat back to the bathroom, but Shang Yao grabbed her hand.
“Where are you going?” Shang Yao blocked her way and wrapped his arms around her waist.
His warm breath on Ruan Yuexi’s ear made her shiver, with no place to hide.
“What… what are you going to do?” Ruan Yuexi was particularly scared of him this time for some reason.
“You smell so good…” Shang Yao kissed her earlobe, his breath growing heavier.
