Wedding Night…
Ruan Yuexi tried to break free from him but found herself unable to resist his advances as usual.
Shang Yao, seemingly enchanted, kissed Ruan Yuexi repeatedly, disregarding her struggles and carrying her to the bed.
“Let go! You disgusting pervert!” Ruan Yuexi used all her strength to hit Shang Yao, but he seemed unaffected, kissing her more intensely.
Ruan Yuexi tilted her head back, her pale and tender neck making Shang Yao’s breath even heavier. Just when she thought he might let her go, he suddenly pressed down and sealed her lips with his.
His intense kiss forced Ruan Yuexi to dance with him, and she couldn’t resist his overwhelming desire, eventually surrendering to his kiss…
The night was hazy, with moonlight illuminating the earth but not a single ray penetrating the room. Inside, occasional sounds of a woman’s pleas and cries mixed with a man’s low comforting words could be heard, continuing until late into the night.
After a night, the two people on the bed fell asleep in each other’s arms. It would be more accurate to say that Ruan Yuexi was held tightly in Shang Yao’s arms, and even in her sleep, she did not relax at all.
Ruan Yuexi, exhausted and tormented all night, was on the verge of breaking down. By the end, she had fainted from exhaustion, leaving her completely spent.
Shang Yao’s breath was filled with Ruan Yuexi’s scent, which seemed to bring him immense pleasure and obsession.
When she woke up, Shang Yao was still holding her but had opened his eyes.
“Awake?” His deep voice reminded Ruan Yuexi of the previous night.
“You bastard!” Ruan Yuexi, red-faced, hit Shang Yao, who allowed her to do so, letting her vent her anger.
Shang Yao, holding Ruan Yuexi, chuckled softly. “Don’t you like it?”
Ruan Yuexi: “…” How could she like it?!
“Let go!” Ruan Yuexi was furious, thinking this wasn’t just perversion. It was outright outrageous!
Shang Yao seemed to ignore her, holding her even tighter despite her desperate struggles.
Ruan Yuexi felt something was wrong in his embrace, her body tensing. She met Shang Yao’s intense and seemingly devouring gaze, making her afraid to move.
“What do you want?” Ruan Yuexi calmed down, although angry, realizing it was futile. She blamed herself for being too careless and underestimating the male lead’s predatory nature.
Shang Yao whispered something in her ear, which shocked Ruan Yuexi, leaving her stunned and staring at him.
“Are you crazy?” Ruan Yuexi pushed Shang Yao forcefully again, unable to believe what she had just heard.
“You can only be by my side,” Shang Yao declared possessively in a hoarse voice.
Ruan Yuexi was genuinely scared. She had thought she was hearing things. For Shang Yao, the male lead, to do something like this to her and then say something she never thought she’d hear from him—it was unbelievable.
She was at a loss for words, doubting if she’d ever be able to escape again.
Just as she was feeling helpless, Shang Yao picked her up and carried her to the bathroom.
“What… what are you going to do?” Ruan Yuexi was terrified and didn’t dare struggle, not wanting to risk falling.
“Let me clean your body.” Shang Yao said in his hoarse voice, making Ruan Yuexi’s face turn pale. How much further could he go?
Soon, the bathroom was filled with whispers…
Ruan Yuexi, exhausted, attended the banquet in a daze. Was this guy a never-ending engine?
She was thoroughly worn out. At the banquet, Lu Yiliang and Ning Chen both moved in to occupy the space next to Ruan Yuexi.
Unexpectedly, Shang Yao got there first, hugging Ruan Yuexi tightly and warning Lu Yiliang and Ning Chen with a cold stare. As for Ye Yishen, who had been reported by Shang Yao, he was now confined at home.
When Ruan Yuexi heard this news, she almost laughed. Even the most troublesome people had to listen to their mother.
The scene of these people talking intermittently caught Tang Qingqing’s attention. She felt intense jealousy and frustration, wondering why she wasn’t Ruan Yuexi.
Was beauty really that important? She knew she wasn’t as pretty as Ruan Yuexi, but in terms of talent and kindness, Ruan Yuexi wasn’t any better.
Tang Qingqing had originally intended to warn Ruan Yuexi about a plot against her, but now she selfishly chose not to mention it. Maybe if Ruan Yuexi died… she could…
Tang Qingqing clenched her fists, torn between emotions. The night before, someone had called her, asking if she wanted to collaborate in plotting against Ruan Yuexi.
She had flatly refused, not yet to the point of taking someone’s life. She was just jealous. She didn’t know who the caller was, and even though she tried to trace the call, she found no useful information. Reporting it to the police would likely lead nowhere.
Ruan Yuexi was unaware of the plot against her. She stood on the other side of the banquet, waiting for Shang Yao to finish his social obligations.
Suddenly, someone tapped her shoulder. Ruan Yuexi turned around in confusion. Tang Qingqing? It had been a while since she’d seen her, and she felt a bit disoriented.
Tang Qingqing, also feeling awkward, decided to tell Ruan Yuexi. Even if she had to step back, she couldn’t leave maliciously.
“I need to tell you something,” Tang Qingqing said, glancing around. She didn’t know when the plot would unfold or how it would happen.
All she could do was warn Ruan Yuexi and advise her to inform Shang Yao so he could investigate.
Ruan Yuexi looked at Tang Qingqing in confusion. She had something to tell her? “What is it?”
Gathering her courage, Tang Qingqing said, “Last night, someone called me and asked if I wanted to join them in… plotting against you.”
Ruan Yuexi was stunned. Plotting against her? She hadn’t offended anyone. Why would someone want to harm her? Tang Qingqing’s information was overwhelming, and Ruan Yuexi’s mind was racing.
“I don’t know who they are, but be careful and tell Shang Yao right away,” Tang Qingqing said. This was all she could do, feeling resigned to step back.
Tang Qingqing hadn’t walked far when a sudden noise came from above. She looked up, only to see a frantic shout behind her.
Shang Yao pushed Ruan Yuexi away, and a huge light fixture fell down. He managed to push Ruan Yuexi aside but couldn’t avoid the falling light.
The heavy light crashed down on Shang Yao, and the scene was instantly filled with blood. Ruan Yuexi’s pupils dilated in terror, and she was speechless with shock.
“…Ambulance! Call an ambulance!” Ruan Yuexi trembled as she forced herself to stay calm.
Ignoring the glass shards cutting her hands, she moved the light off Shang Yao, opened his mouth, and breathed air into him. Ning Chen arrived to perform CPR on Shang Yao.
“Shang Yao! Shang Yao!” Ruan Yuexi continued giving him artificial respiration while calling his name.
Shang Yao weakly opened his eyes to look at Ruan Yuexi. He tried to touch her but had no strength left.
Ruan Yuexi was relieved to see his reaction but didn’t dare relax for a moment.
The onlookers didn’t dare get too close, and Tang Qingqing, who had called the ambulance, was shaking violently.
Just as everyone was anxious, the ambulance arrived in time.
