Would You Confess Your Love To A Mafia Heiress? Chapter 10

Chapter 10: Cold Noodle Controversy

After finishing the last class in the afternoon, as it was Friday, Jiangdu University didn’t have evening self-study sessions.

Su Jiang was still the first person to leave the classroom, even though he sat at the back.

“Su Jiang, wait a moment.”

Su Jiang turned at the sound of the voice and saw An Rou briskly walking towards him.

“If you dare to stand me up tomorrow, you’re in big trouble.”

Walking side by side, An Rou threatened Su Jiang fiercely.

Many people cast curious glances at them. The rumors of Su Jiang’s confession yesterday were still spreading like wildfire.

The rumored main characters were now walking together on campus, sparking a lot of discussion.

Su Jiang was well aware of this phenomenon and sighed helplessly.

“Don’t worry, Miss An, standing you up is as good as seeking death.”

“As long as you know!”

An Rou looked a bit smug, pouting slightly, and Su Jiang couldn’t help but chuckle.

He couldn’t understand why some people used to describe An Rou as aloof.

She was clearly a proud and spoiled young lady.

“What exactly does your brother want to see me for?”

“I’m not sure, but my brother wants to meet you.”

“Your brother? Does he like grilled cold noodles?”

“Why are you asking that?”

“For a first visit, it’s not good to go empty-handed. If he likes grilled cold noodles, I’ll bring him some tomorrow.”

“No, you’re not allowed!”

An Rou couldn’t understand Su Jiang’s thought process.

Who brings grilled cold noodles as a gift for a first visit?

“Fine, then I won’t buy it for him.”

“And you’re not allowed to eat it either!”

“Huh?”

Su Jiang turned to look at An Rou, looking puzzled.

Do I have to ask for your permission to eat grilled cold noodles?

An Rou was almost furious; she had been annoyed by the mention of grilled cold noodles since yesterday.

Am I, a beauty like me, less important to you than grilled cold noodles in your eyes?

Hmph!

Unconsciously, the two reached the intersection where a black sedan was parked, with a man in a suit standing beside it.

“Miss, Brother Su.”

Su Jiang recognized the man as one of the bodyguards from yesterday.

“So, how about giving me a ride on your way?”

An Rou opened the car door, but paused before getting in.

“My house is in the opposite direction from yours. How is that on your way?”

“School ends early today, and I’m going to buy some grilled cold noodles on Zhong Street.”

An Rou took a deep breath, walked slowly to Su Jiang, raised her head, and looked at him with a smile.

Then, she lifted her foot and stomped hard!

“Ouch!”

Su Jiang gasped as she stepped on him, a big question mark appearing over his head.

Why does this girl enjoy stepping on people so much?

More importantly, why did she step on me? If she doesn’t want to give me a ride, fine, but why step on me?

*Thud!*

“Drive, let’s go home!”

“Yes, Miss.”

An Rou got into the car angrily, slammed the door shut, not giving Su Jiang a chance to speak.

Grilled cold noodles, grilled cold noodles!

All you know is eating grilled cold noodles, you silly fool!

The bodyguards, sitting in the front, kept their heads down and remained silent. Since Su Jiang appeared, An Rou’s mood had become increasingly volatile each day.

However, this also served as a good distraction for An Rou.

Previously, whenever An Rou had free time, she would find ways to tease the members of the An family, making many of them miserable.

But things were different now.

An Rou’s attention, resentment, and dissatisfaction all found a place to vent.

That place was Su Jiang.

This indirectly liberated many members of the An family, freeing them from the clutches of this little witch.

As the car accelerated, Su Jiang, holding his foot, watched An Rou drive away in the sedan.

When the car turned a corner and disappeared from Su Jiang’s sight, he fiercely raised a middle finger in that direction.

With no car, Su Jiang had to walk. It wasn’t far, just about a ten-minute walk, so Su Jiang could manage.

While walking, his phone rang. Su Jiang took out his phone from his pocket and checked the caller ID.

It was his dad calling. Su Jiang answered the call as he walked.

“Son, school’s out?”

“Why?”

“You’re quite something, son. Your teacher called me yesterday, and I couldn’t believe it. Confessing in front of the whole class, that’s the spirit!”

Su Jiang rubbed his forehead, feeling speechless. Did Old Zhang really call his dad?

“So, did the girl agree?”

“Dad, it was all a misunderstanding.”

“Never mind whether it was a misunderstanding. Did she agree or not?”

“…I think she probably didn’t?”

Su Jiang recalled that An Rou didn’t give a clear response. But she probably rejected him, right?

“What do you mean ‘probably’? It’s either a yes or a no. Why can’t you handle things cleanly and clearly?”

“Dad, do you have anything else to say?”

“No, it’s boring. I was hoping to get some gossip from you, but you lack the charisma I had back in the day. I’ll Hang up!”

*Beep beep beep…*

Su Jiang took a deep breath. He thought he was quite unique and refined among his peers.

But unexpectedly, the student surpasses the master in the end.

However, since things have come to this, let’s have a meal first.

“Boss, one Supreme Mega Grilled Cold Noodles.”

“Alright!”

Su Jiang, expressionless, swiped his phone, waiting for the boss to prepare his grilled cold noodles.

“Boss, I’ll have one too, the same as his.”

“Alright, please wait a moment.”

At that moment, a man appeared next to Su Jiang and also ordered a portion of grilled cold noodles.

Su Jiang glanced at the man but didn’t pay much attention.

The next second, the man approached Su Jiang, his clothes protruding slightly with something pressing against Su Jiang’s back, and whispered softly.

“Don’t move, there’s a gun against you. If you make a wrong move, it might go off.”

Su Jiang furrowed his brow, took a deep breath, and quickly calmed himself down.

With his expertise in firearms, he could sense that the man wasn’t lying; he was indeed holding a gun against him.

“Who are you? From the An family or the Lin family?”

“Guessed it? I’m Li Cai, from the An family. But I’m curious, why did you guess the Lin family?”

“I just fought with someone from the Lin family this morning.”

“That explains it.”

The two conversed like this, and the grilled cold noodle boss didn’t notice anything amiss, continuing to prepare their orders.

“There are many people here. Do you dare to shoot?”

“You can try.”

Su Jiang immediately shut his mouth; he didn’t dare to try.

“Your grilled cold noodles are ready.”

“Give them both to him, he’ll pay.” Li Cai smiled at the boss, indicating to give both portions of grilled cold noodles to Su Jiang.

“Damn!”

Su Jiang cursed inwardly as he paid. Couldn’t you even afford grilled cold noodles, you underworld family members?

Li Cai, I’ll remember this debt.
