Flirting with the Wrong Person Chapter 28

“Is that okay? Consider me,” Zhou Jiayu asked in a low voice again.

He lowered himself, his deep eyes meeting hers.

Shen Zhirou felt his sincerity, as if it were a rope pulling him willingly into her hands.

“What if I say no?” she teased.

No wonder there’s a saying that those who are favored are always fearless.

When feeling the upper hand, it’s easy to take advantage.

Shen Zhirou watched Zhou Jiayu struggle to find words, suppressing a smile as her lips tightened.

She wanted to steer the conversation back, but her wrist was suddenly pinned against the door again.

Bang.

His shoe tip hit the door, and he used his leg to block her side completely.

They were already close, and now they were pressed together even more tightly.

“No? I’ll keep asking until you say yes.” Zhou Jiayu looked down at her, pecking her lips before gently biting them.

When he decided to find her, he had thought about the possibility of her not wanting to be with him. He had considered bringing flowers, kneeling, or pestering her, but now, he realized he couldn’t bear even a second of separation, especially with the threat of Xiong Hao.

He kissed her until she was breathless, giving her only a brief moment to catch her breath. “Okay? Forgive me, I swear I’ll never lie to you again.”

Shen Zhirou wanted to speak, but he gave her only two seconds.

Just as she caught her breath, before she could swallow, he kissed her again, his tongue entwining with hers until her cheeks turned red.

“Okay, okay, I’ll consider it,” Shen Zhirou begged for mercy.

But the pressure didn’t ease. Zhou Jiayu grabbed her hand and placed it on his waist, his wet lips grazing her cheek and moving to her sensitive ear.

Shen Zhirou’s shoulders twitched, pushing him further into her neck.

The sound of his lips parting against her ear was distinctly clear, spreading a warm, sticky sensation throughout her body, making her feel hot and restless.

“Hug me,” Zhou Jiayu said, pressing her hand tighter against his waist.

His kisses moved from her jaw to her chin, then back to her lips, lingering and passionate.

He couldn’t stop, couldn’t pull away.

Zhou Jiayu felt a subtle fragrance from Shen Zhirou that drove him mad, igniting his desire and making him feel like a lovesick puppy, unable to control his overflowing emotions.

His breathing grew heavier, his fingers lifted the hem of her shirt, brushing against the soft skin of her waist.

His mind was filled with memories of their intimate night, their sweaty bodies pressed together…

His hand on her waist shifted to hug her fully, his palm resting on her lower back.

Shen Zhirou trembled in his arms.

In his touch, memories of that night flashed in her mind too.

Her body seemed to fit naturally with his, making her easily lose control.

His warm palm heated her entire body, making her feel like she was melting…

Just as Shen Zhirou felt her knees weaken, she covered Zhou Jiayu’s unruly mouth with her hand.

She pushed down his hand that was moving up her back, her face flushed as she panted, “I said I’d consider it, I didn’t say we’re back together!”

Zhou Jiayu: “… So, how long will you consider?”

“We’ll see…” Shen Zhirou murmured, seeing him move closer again.

Zhou Jiayu regretted not asking her directly about getting back together. He should’ve learned from Lu Fanghuai’s shameless persistence.

“I’ll give you one minute to consider.”

Shen Zhirou looked at him, realizing this wasn’t considering but coercion.

She was sure that if she said no, Zhou Jiayu would say her answer was wrong and make her say it again.

“Tomorrow then.” She quickly gave herself an out.

“Too long.” Zhou Jiayu frowned, looking at her with a hint of grievance.

“Feelings can’t be rushed. When I met you, you lied, saying you were Lu Fanghuai. Now you say you’re Zhou Jiayu. Even if I want to be with you, I need to get to know you again and assess your character,” Shen Zhirou asserted, deciding to be more cautious this time.

“I won’t lie to you again. Whatever you want to know, I’ll be honest,” Zhou Jiayu promised once more.

He was about to say more to prove himself when a sudden knock on the door startled Shen Zhirou.

She instinctively leaned into Zhou Jiayu.

Her phone buzzed in her pocket, and she saw it was a voice call from Xiong Hao.

Shen Zhirou looked puzzled, about to answer, but Zhou Jiayu stopped her.

“You said you don’t like him,” he said jealously.

“I don’t like him. You’re the one making assumptions.”

“I’m jealous!” Zhou Jiayu pulled her into his arms, his chin resting on her shoulder, close to her still-flushed cheek.

Shen Zhirou paused, realizing it was jealousy…

“In the elevator, I didn’t expect him to confess. I was going to reject him, but he arranged today’s job. He might be calling about work. Let me check.” Shen Zhirou saw the voice call end and was about to send a message.

Just as she started typing, a beep sounded, indicating someone was unlocking the door.

The door lock clicked, and someone pushed it open.
