Chapter 353: Liu Churan’s Scheming
Ye Wenxin’s body couldn’t help but tremble as she recalled Liu Churan once saying, “If I were the Demon Lord’s child, I would definitely want to enjoy it.” Liu Churan had completely given up, unable to achieve her desires.
So, that strange dream had a basis. According to Ye Wenxin’s thinking, Liu Churan had previously obtained the Yin-Yang Pearls, but Madam Yu intercepted her halfway, taking away her chance and deteriorating her relationship with Madam Yu.
On the other hand, Madam Yu obtained the Yin-Yang Pearls and used them with her lover to conceive Qiao Ni, providing descendants for the infertile Old Man Lü Dao.
If it weren’t for Madam Yu, Ye Wenxin might have one day found herself involved in that strange dream scenario with her daughter and Liu Churan. Seeing Ye Wenxin’s face darken, Abbess Jiunan thought she had deceived her, and continued, “If you are interested in the Yin-Yang Pearls, you can visit our temple’s sutra library.”
Ye Wenxin had been to the sutra library just a few years ago, cramming knowledge, but she had never seen the book Abbess Jiunan mentioned. It seemed that Abbess Jiunan wanted to trick Ye Wenxin into going to the Southern Dipper Temple, and then continuously brainwash her.
However, the truth about the Yin-Yang Pearls was too enticing, and Jin Xiaoqin had been so horny lately. Ye Wenxin knew she shouldn’t just return to the Azure Wings Sect and make love with Jin Xiaoqin 24/7.
She started to hesitate. The Sect Master of Azure Wings Sect added, “Additional study is not a bad idea. How about this: leave the umbrella sword with me for safekeeping, and you can go without worries.”
He winked at Ye Wenxin, trying to help her make a decision. Ye Wenxin immediately sensed that the Sect Master had ulterior motives. Moreover, the umbrella sword absolutely couldn’t be too far from Ye Wenxin. If it was separated from her, the two ghosts could merge into one at any time and become a true Ghost Mother, bringing disaster to the world.
“I’d better not. I’m just interested. If Abbess Jiunan can find the Yin-Yang Pearls, she can contact me at the Azure Wings Sect.” She chose to return, yet when she glanced back, there was Jin Xiaoqin’s smirking face.
Ye Wenxin’s mouth, along with her hands, had yet to return to normal. She had a feeling that upon returning to the Azure Wings Sect, she would be in for many more intense rounds. She began to regret starting this with Jin Xiaoqin.
‘We’ll just be master and disciple after tonight’? That was nothing but a lie to deceive children. Ye Wenxin cursed inwardly, while Jin Xiaoqin stepped forward to add, “Moreover, my disciple is young and lacks experience in the Martial World. If she were to be deceived, as her master, the blame would be on me.”
Jin Xiaoqin’s words carried a hidden message. Abbess Jiunan wanted to say more, but the nearby Abbot Shimie gestured for her to stop before saying with a smile, “Alright then, young lady, just wait for good news. We will contact you shortly.”
Abbot Shimie touched his bald head and laughed candidly. With that, this meaningless conversation finally ended. As Ye Wenxin watched the two people leave, she suddenly felt a slap on her butt.
Turning to look, she saw Jin Xiaoqin glaring at her again.
“Old Jin, why did you hit me again?”
“Rebellious disciple, keep your hands off the nuns, especially that abbess. Don’t even think about it!” Jin Xiaoqin warned sternly. But as soon as she spoke, she realized something was off about what she said.
It was as if, as a master, she was encouraging Ye Wenxin to have multiple romantic entanglements. Jin Xiaoqin awkwardly wanted to correct herself. As a member of the immortal sects, she should be promoting truth, goodness, and beauty, but her disciple had led her astray.
“Ah, I was just curious whether that abbess is wearing a wig or not.” Ye Wenxin, completely bewildered, justified that she had no interest in monks or nuns. Jin Xiaoqin then gave her another light smack on the head.
“Of course it’s a wig. All girls love to look pretty!” Jin Xiaoqin gritted her teeth, feeling a mix of love and hate towards Ye Wenxin. After hitting her, she felt she might have hit too hard and hurried to rub Ye Wenxin’s head.
Others merely assumed that Jin Xiaoqin and Ye Wenxin had a deep master-disciple bond and looked at them enviously, completely unaware of how many times the two had crossed that line on the sly.
Abbess Jiunan, who had not gone far, seemed to have heard the conversation. She turned her head slightly and mouthed something toward Ye Wenxin. In an instant, a voice reached Ye Wenxin’s ear.
“My hair is real.” Ye Wenxin laughed disgracefully upon hearing this, finally understanding why Abbess Jiunan was so low-key. She sighed. “Women truly go to great lengths for beauty.”
“Hey, if you keep looking at her, expect to have your hands broken.” Jin Xiaoqin grabbed Ye Wenxin’s collar. She lifted off on her sword, dragged Ye Wenxin in the completely opposite direction, and even made an excuse to the others. “Wenxin is injured. I’ll be helping her recover for a few days. School Master Fengya will handle the rest.”
After that, she whisked Ye Wenxin away like a gust of wind. As the crowd looked at each other, they couldn’t shake the feeling that something seemed off with the respected Elder Jin Xiaoqin.
“Elder Jin seemed somewhat anxious.”
“Must be because Junior Sister Wenxin is seriously injured. They have such a beautiful master-disciple relationship.”
“But don’t you all think Elder Jin has become much more beautiful and feminine?”
“Yeah, I’d pursue a master-disciple romance with the current Elder Jin, even if it’s taboo.”
“Me too…”
The crowd’s whispers were no longer audible to the two, and Ye Wenxin’s heart was fraught with nerves, constantly worrying that Jin Xiaoqin would make her too busy with bedroom activities in the coming days.
However, Jin Xiaoqin was being unusually serious as she took her back to the Azure Wings Sect. She promptly kicked Ye Wenxin into a training room and tossed her a sword manual titled [Closing Autumn].
“Practice well. There will be a reward once you’ve mastered it.” These were the last words Jin Xiaoqin left before closing the door. Ye Wenxin lost her freedom but gained personal safety.
This series of actions stunned Ye Wenxin. She had been ready to give up, not expecting Jin Xiaoqin to suddenly adopt a master’s demeanor. However, her heart still rejoiced. Just as she was about to escape from this dreadful place, she noticed the figure still lingering outside and had no choice but to shrink back inside.
“I don’t want to worry about you anymore, so you must become stronger.” Jin Xiaoqin sighed outside the door, hoping Ye Wenxin could understand her good intentions.
Cultivation was a long and arduous journey, where one might perish at any time. This was a life principle Jin Xiaoqin had always believed in. But before, she had been alone; even if she died, it was just one life lost with no attachments.
During her time in the secret realm, she experienced the desperation to survive for the first time, and fought her way out countless times for the sake of her innermost desire.
“I will do my best.” Ye Wenxin stood behind the door, ultimately saying nothing. She threw the [Closing Autumn] sword manual to the two ghosts, and then began to regulate the chaotic energies in her dantian…
TL: I’ve been wondering how a non-cultivator like Madam Yu would be able to conceive a child with another woman (presumably the Demon Lord). Makes sense if she had the Yin-Yang Pearls.
