Would You Confess Your Love To A Mafia Heiress? Chapter 28

Chapter 28: An Mingjie’s Arrangement

As night fell, like ink sprinkled along the banks of the Jiangdu River, Su Jiang and An Rou strolled along the riverside path. At this moment, there were only a few couples walking in this rare tranquility.

Across this path was An’s home.

“dalalala…”

An Rou walked ahead with her hands behind her back, her figure particularly captivating in the night. The black skirt swayed gently with her steps, revealing her long and fair legs.

She walked with a slight bounce, humming a song softly, the melody melodious and pleasant, indicating An Rou’s exceptionally joyful mood.

The evening breeze blew gently, bringing the coolness of the night. The temperature in Jiangdu at this season was moderate, perfect for a leisurely walk on such a night.

Su Jiang followed behind An Rou, carrying a large Pikachu plush toy in his hands, smiling as he watched the cheerful girl ahead.

A few days ago, Su Jiang would never have believed that he would be walking with a girl, enjoying the evening breeze at a time when he should be playing games or sleeping.

And to top it off, he was even holding a large Pikachu plush toy for her.

Su Jiang shook his head, feeling like he was in a dream.

Everything was because of the system, causing a dramatic change in his life. Although it wasn’t his choice, it felt good.

“Hurry up, what are you doing?” An Rou turned back, somewhat displeased with Su Jiang’s slow pace.

Su Jiang, feeling helpless, replied, “Try walking with such a large plush toy, it’s exhausting.”

“Ugh, your body is so weak…” An Rou muttered softly, stopping in her tracks to wait for Su Jiang to catch up. She slowed down her pace to walk alongside him.

Then, An Rou turned her head, feeling a bit embarrassed, and handed something to Su Jiang.

“What’s this?”

Su Jiang opened his palm to reveal a small Pikachu pendant.

An Rou had noticed it at a stall earlier, coincidentally in the style of Pikachu, so she secretly bought it.

“Su Jiang… Huh?”

What in the world, why was such a large Pikachu moving around inside the house?

Stretching his neck to get a better view, An Mingjie finally spotted An Rou beneath the Pikachu, chuckling, “Did Su Jiang give you this giant plush toy?”

“Um…” An Rou struggled to place the Pikachu on the sofa and proudly said, “Su Jiang won it for me by hitting thirty balloons in a row!”

An Mingjie chuckled upon hearing this. He knew Su Jiang’s sharpshooting skills well, so hitting balloons was a piece of cake for him.

An Rou took a few deep breaths, then looked up at the long staircase, hesitated for a moment, and pointed at the Pikachu, saying to An Mingjie, “Brother, can you help me carry this upstairs?”

She couldn’t lift it anymore.

Upon hearing this, An Mingjie’s mouth twitched. As the leader of such a large family, carrying a Pikachu—what was going on?

But since it was An Rou who made the request, An Mingjie, feeling resigned, stood up and helped An Rou carry the Pikachu upstairs.

“Brother, be careful!” An Rou expressed her concern.

“Don’t worry, I’m not going to fall down a flight of stairs,” An Mingjie reassured her.

“No, I mean the plush toy, don’t get it dirty,” An Rou clarified.

An Mingjie felt mentally exhausted; his sister hadn’t been like this before.

On the other side, a taxi pulled over on the main street. Su Jiang stepped out of the car. At this hour, there were few people on the street.

Su Jiang walked casually down the street, but his eyes were alert, scanning his surroundings to see if anyone was following him.

After turning several corners and circling around for a while, Su Jiang made sure no one was tailing him. Following his memory of the route, he arrived at the Xiao  Mian Ye.

As for why he came here at this time…

As for whether this can ensure that no one is tracking him, Su Jiang was not sure, but he had seen it done in movies.

At this moment, the bar had already closed, but Su Jiang stood at the door as if he hadn’t noticed, reaching out to knock.

Soon, a voice came from inside, “Who is it? We’re closed, not open for business.”

“I’m Su Jiang, sent by An Mingjie,” Su Jiang replied directly.

Originally, Su Jiang thought there might be some kind of secret code when An Mingjie sent him, but it turned out An Mingjie said he had watched too many TV dramas and just stating his identity was enough.

Indeed, upon hearing Su Jiang’s name, the people inside quickly opened the door and let Su Jiang in.

“Young Master Su, we’ve been waiting for you. Young Master An has briefed me,” the man said, then added, “I’m Hua Qing, but people in the underworld call me Huazi.”

Su Jiang’s eye twitched. It was the first time he had been called ” Young Master Su” but the name “Huazi” seemed even more absurd.

Next, Huazi cautiously took out a non-smartphone from the front desk, the kind that could only make calls and send texts, an old-fashioned device.

“Is this it?” Su Jiang took the phone, examining it in his hand. This was the item An Mingjie had sent him to retrieve.

“Yes, this is the only phone,” Huazi said. ” Young Master An instructed that all the secret lines of the Feng family can only be contacted through this phone. In critical moments, if Young Master Su sends a message with this, all our undercover agents will act, delivering a fatal blow to the Feng family!”

Su Jiang nodded, surprised that An Mingjie had entrusted him with such a significant card.

However, he understood that at this moment, every move of the core members of the An family would be monitored by the Feng family. Only Su Jiang, as a wildcard, had not entered the sight of the Feng family.

An Mingjie believed that at the final moment, Su Jiang would leave a lasting impression on the Feng family.
