Would You Confess Your Love To A Mafia Heiress? Chapter 31

Chapter 31: Meeting the Parents for Real.”

“Surprise! Are you shocked or not!

Su Jiang’s parents stood at the door, looking at their son with joy on their faces. It’s rare for them to come and visit Su Jiang. In their hearts, Su Jiang must be extremely grateful and excited.

Although they just happened to come to see Su Jiang.

But this is also a kind of affection, especially since they also bought some fruits for Su Jiang, such a enviable family bond.

When Su Jiang saw his parents at that moment, he froze in place, cold sweat dripping.

It’s over!

“Look at this child, so happy that he doesn’t even know to let us in.” his mother chuckled, and before Su Jiang could react, she took his husband’s hand and walked into the house.

“No, Mom…” Su Jiang opened his mouth, not knowing what to say, just hurriedly closed the door, trying to think how to send these two big gods away before An Rou arrived.”

Su Jiang struggled to force a smile and asked, “Mom, Dad, why are you here?”

“We came specially to see you. Aren’t you happy?” his mother looked around while speaking, while his father went to the water dispenser and started brewing tea with the tea leaves he picked up.

Su Jiang’s mouth twitched. It’s strange that you came all the way to see me. Ever since I went to college, the two of you have been eager to enjoy your retired life, how could you have time for me?

“To be honest with you, your mom and I are planning to visit the capital city, take a plane, so we stopped by to see you.” His father brewed the tea and added, “Why does this tea smell not quite right to me? Did you change it?”

Su Jiang, feeling helpless, touched his forehead, “No, maybe your taste has changed.”

How long has it been since you last came here to have tea?

It’s amazing that you still remember where the tea is kept.

At that moment, a clear meow suddenly sounded in the room. Fugui leisurely walked out of the bathroom, staring somewhat resentfully at Su Jiang.

“Meow!” ‘My fur hasn’t dried yet.’

“Oh!”

Su Jiang’s mother immediately sparkled with joy in her eyes when she saw the fluffy white cat. She hurried over, crouched down, and gently picked up Fugui.

“Why did you suddenly start raising a cat? This kitten is so adorable!” his mother said as she placed Fugui on her cheek, rubbing it affectionately.

Remembering Su Jiang’s words about having a woman coming over and needing to behave, Fugui thought it had to act cute!

So, it lightly waved its paws, stared with innocent cat eyes, and pitifully meowed, as if trying to charm Mrs. Su.

“Meow!” ‘Owner, am I doing well?’

“Meow!” ‘Watch me charm her!’

Silly cat!!!

Su Jiang watched as his mother held Fugui lovingly, while his father sat on the couch sipping tea with a contented expression. Su Jiang, feeling hopeless, covered his face with his hands.

Oh no, everything is a mess now, they definitely won’t leave anytime soon.

He had messaged An Rou right away, asking her not to come yet, but she hadn’t responded. Su Jiang figured her phone must be in her bag, and she hadn’t seen the message.

Still hopeful, Su Jiang asked, “Mom, what time is your flight?”

“At 2 p.m., why?” his replied nonchalantly, sitting next to his father with the white cat in her arms.

Su Jiang immediately checked his phone. It was only half past ten now, there’s a chance!

“Why don’t you hurry up then? It’s already half past ten, you need to check in half an hour before the flight!” Su Jiang exclaimed, “I’m fine here, you don’t need to worry. Don’t miss your flight to the capital city!”

“Oh, you don’t need to be so anxious,” his father calmly sipped his tea and turned on the TV with the remote.

“I and your mom know how to manage our time.”

“Our flight is tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m., we’ll stay in a nearby hotel tonight, so you don’t need to worry.”

Upon hearing this, Su Jiang stood frozen in place.

Tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m.?

Well, that’s it then. Nothing to worry about.

Su Jiang took a deep breath, feeling defeated, and sat weakly on the couch. He gave up struggling.

Feeling exhausted, he thought, let the world collapse.

His last hope now was that An Rou would see his message and not come.

I really don’t know what to do next.

However, as if fate was playing with Su Jiang, the doorbell rang the next second, and An Rou’s voice came through the door into the house.

“Rogue Su Jiang, I’m here, open the door for me!”

As soon as she shouted, his parents immediately looked up in surprise at the door, then back at Su Jiang.

The expressions on the two elders’ faces transitioned from surprise to uncontrollable smiles, their thoughts clear in their eyes – they were in for some gossip!

Su Jiang knew it was truly over now.

He gave up struggling, stood up, and opened the door as if resigned to his fate.

“Why were you so slow? And where’s Fugui?”

An Rou playfully scolded for a moment, then swiftly darted into the house from the side of Su Jiang, completely unaware of the expression on his face. She was eager to see what Su Jiang’s home looked like.

“Your house is quite clean…” An Rou cheerfully looked around, but her words abruptly stopped.

Her gaze inadvertently swept over two figures on the living room couch, and her mind froze.

Su Jiang was supposed to live alone, right? Why were there other people, and they looked like elders.

“Th-these two aren’t…” An Rou’s petite head mechanically turned towards Su Jiang, her beautiful eyes filled with astonishment, her voice trembling to the point of almost being inaudible.

Please don’t let them be Su Jiang’s parents!

She would be mortified!

She had just called Su Jiang a rogue at the door.

Su Jiang had no choice but to nervously introduce, “Um, as you can see, these are my parents.”

Then, he turned to his mother, his face showing a hint of embarrassment as he softly introduced, “Mom, Dad, this is An Rou, she’s my… um, friend.”

“Uncle, Auntie…” An Rou’s face instantly turned as red as a ripe apple, her head lowered deeply, almost burying it into her chest, hands tightly gripping her clothes.

Damn Su Jiang! Stupid Su Jiang! Nasty rogue Su Jiang!

Why didn’t you tell me there were elders at home? What should I do now?!

“Meow?”

Fugui, in Su Jiang’s mother’s arms, looked around in confusion. It sensed that something was off in the atmosphere, as if it had done something wrong.

Immediately, Fugui laid back down. What did it have to do with the situation anyway? It was just a cat.

“Oh, come, come, please sit down!”

Su Jiang’s parents enthusiastically stood up, warmly taking her hand and guiding her to sit on the couch.

Fugui was tossed aside by Su Jiang’s mother, the little white cat unconcerned, stretching lazily, finding a spot to continue lounging.

Su Jiang’s mother’s gaze never left An Rou. Her eyes sparkled with a smile, as if she had found a treasure.

What a beautiful girl, what a perfect figure!

He really had to be her son, making a big move without a word!

No wonder he was in such a rush for us to leave, turns out he was hiding a gem in his place!

Su Jiang’s mother gave Su Jiang a smug look, as if saying, “Caught you, didn’t I? Coming to see you today was truly spot on!”

Su Jiang’s father also discreetly gave Su Jiang a thumbs up, but Su Jiang closed his eyes, unwilling to look.

“An Rou… such a nice name!” Su Jiang’s mother smiled, her voice filled with gentleness.

“A-Auntie, you can just call me Rou Rou.” An Rou blushed, her voice trembling slightly in response.

“Rou Rou, that sounds even more endearing.” Su Jiang’s mother’s smile grew brighter. She then asked, “Do you often come here to play with Su Jiang?”

Upon hearing this question, An Rou immediately felt nervous, fearing she would be misunderstood as a frequent visitor to Su Jiang’s home.

She quickly waved her hands, explaining, “No! No, Auntie, today is my first time here.” Her tone carried a hint of urgency, afraid of being misunderstood by Su Jiang’s mother.

After speaking, An Rou looked up at Su Jiang, her eyes showing a pleading look.

Su Jiang couldn’t help but feel sorry for her. He felt like An Rou was about to break down.

So he quickly explained the situation to his mother.
