Would You Confess Your Love To A Mafia Heiress? Chapter 32

Chapter 32: This woman is too fierce.

A few minutes later, Su Jiang’s mother looked at her son with a puzzled expression.

“So, you’re saying you two have only recently met?”

“That’s right!”

“And then coincidentally found this little white cat last night?”

“Yes!”

“And then this girl Ruo Ruo came to see this little white cat today?”

“…Yes.” Su Jiang’s voice gradually weakened, sounding somewhat unsure.

In a way, it was indeed hard to believe.

Moreover, Su Jiang had hidden many things, such as his ties to the underworld family, and of course, his feelings.

Earlier, Su Jiang had informed his parents about his feelings for An Rou, but they were unaware that she was the subject of his affection.

If they were to find out about his feelings, Su Jiang would be in big trouble; he would never hear the end of it from his parents.

Seeing that Su Jiang’s mother was a bit skeptical, An Rou quickly explained, “Auntie, it’s true. I really just came to see Fugui.”

“Fugui?”

“Meow?” ‘Who’s calling me?’

“Um… it’s the cat.”

Su Jiang’s mother finally understood. So this little white cat was named Fugui?

But that wasn’t important; what mattered was An Rou.

With a smile, Su Jiang’s mother said, “Since Ruo Ruo says so, I believe her.”

Su Jiang’s father sat silently, looking at Su Jiang with a sidelong glance, silently admiring him.

Indeed, he thought, my son is impressive. He had just met this girl, yet he already knew to lure her in by finding a cat, successfully bringing her home.

Su Jiang playfully winked back at his father; he had no ulterior motives, simply enjoying having a little cat.

“Ruo Ruo, are you from Jiangdu? Does your family also live here? What do they do? Do you feel a lot of pressure in your studies? Has this little guy Su Jiang ever bullied you?”

Su Jiang’s mother bombarded An Rou with a series of questions, leaving her bewildered. Which question should she answer first?

Seeing An Rou’s confusion, Su Jiang’s father lightly kicked Su Jiang’s mother, signaling her to tone it down and not overwhelm the girl.

Realizing she had gotten a bit carried away, Su Jiang’s mother quickly smiled, “Oh dear, Ruo Ruo, don’t be scared. Auntie is just a bit excited, after all, I’ve never seen a girl around Su Jiang before.”

Upon hearing this, An Rou’s eyes brightened. She was the first girl around Su Jiang? That lifted her spirits, and she no longer felt as nervous as before.

However, An Rou faced a dilemma with Su Jiang’s mother’s questions. On one hand, she wasn’t sure if she could disclose her family’s situation, and on the other hand, she didn’t want to deceive Su Jiang’s parents.

Seeing An Rou’s struggle, Su Jiang hurried over to his father and whispered, “Dad, please take my mom away quickly.”

Su Jiang’s father looked at him puzzled, but Su Jiang didn’t hold back, saying, “If you don’t help me, I’ll tell Mom where you hide your secret money!”

Oh my goodness!

Startled by this, Su Jiang’s father cautiously glanced at Su Jiang’s mother and whispered, “How do you know where I hide my secret money?”

“Nonsense, I’m your son, how could I not know? I even know how much you’ve hidden!” Su Jiang slowly extended two fingers.

Seeing these two fingers, Su Jiang’s father broke into a cold sweat. This kid actually knew.

It couldn’t be possible; he had hidden it so securely, and Su Jiang didn’t come home often, how could he possibly know?

Regardless, he couldn’t worry about that now. No matter how important the situation was, it couldn’t surpass his secret stash of money.

So Su Jiang’s father coughed lightly and took Su Jiang’s mother aside, saying, “Oh, I just got a call from my sister, she wants us to join her for dinner, so we should hurry over.”

Su Jiang’s mother looked at him suspiciously, “When did you get the call? Why didn’t I know?”

“It was when you weren’t here, can’t I trick you?”

“Well then, let us bring Su Jiang and Ruo Ruo  togo together, right?” Su Jiang’s mother turned to An Rou and asked, “Ruo Ruo, are you free today?”

“Uh, ah?” An Rou looked to Su Jiang for help. Was she supposed to be available or not?

“Oh, Mom,” Su Jiang quickly interjected, “I’m going out with An Rou later to buy cat litter and stuff for Fugui.”

Then he winked at An Rou, silently asking for her cooperation. “Right, An Rou?”

“…Right!” An Rou caught on immediately, turning to Su Jiang’s mother to explain, “Auntie, I already made an appointment with the pet store, so I’ll be leaving soon.”

“Oh, I see…” Su Jiang’s mother felt a bit disappointed. She didn’t want to disturb An Rou, this pretty girl; but she had hoped to chat more with her.

“Oh, don’t bother her then, we’ll leave tomorrow, and we need to pack up when we get back.”

Seeing that things were settling, Su Jiang’s father delivered the final blow, taking Su Jiang’s mother by the arm and heading towards the door.

“Why are you in such a hurry? I haven’t grabbed my bag yet.”

“Mom, your bag is right here!” Su Jiang quickly handed over the bag, looking eager to please.

Taking the bag, Su Jiang’s mother gave the two a stern look, then smiled at An Rou, “Ruo Ruo, let’s chat more next time, Auntie will leave now, okay!”

“Okay, Auntie, goodbye.” An Rou obediently stood up to bid farewell to Su Jiang’s mother, displaying a change from her usual demeanor.

“Su Jiang, remember to take Ruo Ruo to eat something delicious, don’t be stingy, and no bullying Ruo Ruo!” Su Jiang’s mother reminded before leaving.

“Yes, yes, I got it!” Su Jiang nodded frantically. He truly feared his mother lingering around and chatting endlessly.

Once she started, there was no stopping her, and Su Jiang never really listened anyway.

As the saying goes, an elder’s nagging is like a dose of good medicine; those who can endure it may have some serious problems.

“Gone!”

With a click, the door closed. Su Jiang finally breathed a sigh of relief. As for how Su Jiang’s father would handle the lie, it was no longer his concern.

He wasn’t sure if his father’s call was real or fake, but as they say, desperate times call for desperate measures. They both had to survive somehow.

Once Su Jiang’s mother had left, An Rou’s fierce expression surfaced. Ignoring everything else, she ran up to Su Jiang and started playfully stepping on him.

While scolding, An Rou blushed and continued stepping on Su Jiang.

“Su Jiang, you jerk!”

“Why didn’t you tell me in advance that Uncle and Auntie were here?!”

“You made me embarrassed, nearly misunderstood, you deliberately wanted to tease me!”

“I’ll crush you!”

Only she knew how she got through those ten minutes; she felt like she was falling apart.

All the pent-up frustration exploded at that moment.

Su Jiang, caught off guard, dodged several steps and quickly defended himself, “It’s not my fault you didn’t check your phone messages!”

“You dare to argue!”

“No, if you don’t believe me, check your phone, I messaged you!”

“I’m not looking!”

An Rou reached out to pinch Su Jiang’s waist, determined to release her anger.

The little cat Fugui cowered on the windowsill, trembling and huddled up. Its tiny paws covered its eyes, peeking through the gaps.

This woman was too fierce; she even made the owner afraid to retaliate.

From now on, the little cat Fugui absolutely couldn’t provoke her!
