Would You Confess Your Love To A Mafia Heiress? Chapter 33

Chapter 33: Qiuna’s Pet Supplies Store

After a few minutes, An Rou sat on the couch, playfully rubbing the little white cat Fugui, clearly having calmed down.

Su Jiang stood to the side, massaging his waist and inhaling deeply. The area where An Rou pinched him was bruised and sore.

That girl had a strong grip, leaving no room for mercy.

If it weren’t for his enhanced physical abilities from the skill of extraordinary body, which had improved his physical resilience, Su Jiang doubted An Rou could have pinched off a piece of his flesh.

Fugui laid obediently in An Rou’s arms, behaving well and not daring to misbehave.

Even though it had resisted the name Fugui earlier, now whenever An Rou called it, it obediently responded.

A cat knows when to be smart.

In this household, Su Jiang wasn’t sure who had the lowest status, but Fugui’s high status was quite evident.

If it doesn’t curry favor with An Rou, why should it curry favor with Su Jiang?

Don’t be ridiculous, my cat hasn’t had enough yet.

“Su Jiang, have you fed Fugui cat food?” An Rou looked at Fugui’s slight frame and couldn’t help but feel a twinge of pity.

“Meow!” ‘I want cat food!’

Taking advantage of the situation, Fugui had already had its fill of ham sausages. It had grown tired of them during its stray days.

Su Jiang shot Fugui a look and helplessly replied, “I don’t have any cat food. It already had a piece of ham sausage this morning.”

“Well, that won’t do. Fugui is so small, it still needs to grow!” An Rou wasn’t pleased to hear that.

“Meow, meow!” Exactly, I still need to grow!

Su Jiang sighed, “Then… shall we go out to buy some?”

So, Su Jiang tidied up a bit and went out with An Rou to buy some cat supplies for Fugui.

“Fugui, be a good boy and wait for us at home!”

Before leaving, An Rou gently stroked Fugui’s little head, showing her affection.

“Meow!” Remember to buy cat food!

Su Jiang’s mouth twitched; he couldn’t believe that the gentle and lovely An Rou in front of him had just been so violent.

Was An Rou normally the same as he saw her now?

Leaving Fugui alone at home, the two headed out.

“My sister owns a pet supplies store, let’s go there!” An Rou suggested.

Su Jiang nodded; it didn’t matter to him where they went, as long as they weren’t idle at home.

As they exited the neighborhood and stood on the roadside, Su Jiang stared at An Rou, who in turn looked back at him.

“W-what are you looking at? Let’s hail a cab!” An Rou blushed under his gaze, a hint of irritation in her tone.

“Take a cab?” Su Jiang’s face showed a hint of confusion. “Why hail a cab when you have those bodyguards of yours? Shouldn’t we be using your family’s car to go out?”

I’m going out with a family heiress, and I’m supposed to take a cab?

“What about Azuo and Ama, they brought me here and left,” An Rou explained.

“They left? So you’re alone now?”

“Yes, why do you look so surprised?” An Rou looked at Su Jiang with some confusion.

“I… I mean, who’s going to ensure your safety?”

“Isn’t it you who said the less I care about my safety, the less likely they are to harm me?”

She paused, then added, “Besides, my brother said with you around, I don’t need bodyguards.”

Although An Rou wasn’t sure why her brother said that, he still believed in her brother’s words.

Su Jiang’s eye twitched. Does An Mingjie really think I’m his family’s bodyguard?

Unable to resist, Su Jiang waved down a taxi, and An Rou got in, giving the driver the address to the pet supplies store she mentioned.

After about fifteen minutes, they arrived. Su Jiang followed An Rou down the street and soon found themselves at the entrance of the pet supplies store.

An Rou skillfully pushed open the partially closed door, and as it creaked open, she stepped inside, calling out cheerfully, “Sister Qiuna, I’m here!”

Qiuna, who had been seated behind the counter, engrossed in a TV drama, lifted her head at the sound of An Rou’s voice.

Quickly standing up, her face lit up with surprise and joy, she looked towards the door, “Little An Rou! Why do you have time to come today? It’s such a rare visit…”

However, as she was speaking, Qiuna suddenly paused mid-sentence, her eyes widening in disbelief, as if she had seen something unimaginable.

Oh my goodness!

What did she see? Behind An Rou, there was a handsome and sunny young man?

The An Rou who showed no interest in men had actually brought a guy into her shop!

Approaching An Rou, looking puzzled, she asked, “Sister Qiuna, what’s with that expression on your face?”

“Why do you look like you’ve seen a ghost?”

Su Jiang followed behind An Rou, looking around curiously. It was his first time in a pet supplies store, and he hadn’t seen many of these things before. He noticed Qiuna staring at him with a strange look. Out of politeness, Su Jiang slightly bowed, “Hello, I’m Su Jiang.”

“Oh? Hello, hello!” Qiuna finally recovered from her shock, her eyes shifting between Su Jiang and An Rou. Curiosity drove her to ask further, “Excuse me, are you An Rou’s… boyfriend?”

At the mention of “boyfriend,” both An Rou and Su Jiang couldn’t help but glance at each other.

“Sister Qiuna, don’t mind him, just pretend he doesn’t exist!” An Rou felt a bit flustered and quickly interjected before Su Jiang could say anything.

She wasn’t sure about the current status between her and Su Jiang; they had yet to define the relationship and had maintained this subtle dynamic.

Moreover, An Rou wasn’t ready for that yet.

Observing An Rou’s slightly flustered and shy expression, Qiuna couldn’t help but feel a curious interest.

Seeing the subtle atmosphere between them, Qiuna narrowed her eyes, already having a good idea of what was going on.

Oh, how pure-hearted our little An Rou is.

Although Qiuna was internally cheering, she didn’t show it outwardly.

When An Rou mentioned buying pet supplies for the cat, Qiuna warmly led them to the specific section.

“For the litter box, I recommend this one for you two,” Qiuna emphasized the word “you two” in her pronunciation.

“Then let me get you a cat bed, cat food, and litter from this area.”

While Qiuna skillfully grabbed various cat foods from the shelves, she stuffed them all into the litter box.

Su Jiang stood by a large, soft cat bed, gently squeezing it. The plush texture impressed him – it looked so comfortable to sit on.

Observing Qiuna’s bustling activity, An Rou seemed to recall something. She stepped back and stood next to Su Jiang, whispering softly, “Sister Qiuna is also a member of our family; she is Li Cai’s older cousin.”

“But like me, sister Qiuna isn’t involved in any family matters; she runs this store independently.”

Su Jiang raised an eyebrow at this revelation. He hadn’t expected Li Cai, the big simpleton, to have such a cousin.

“Alright, this should be enough!” Qiuna glanced around, ensuring nothing was left out.

“How much is all of this, Sister Qiuna? Let me scan and pay you,” An Rou took out her phone, ready to settle the bill but was stopped by Qiuna.

“What are you doing, An Rou? Are you trying to embarrass your sister?” Qiuna pretended to be stern. “In our relationship, can I let you pay?”

“If you pay today, don’t call me ‘Sister Qiuna’ ever again.” Qiuna insisted firmly.

“Payment received, 50 yuan!”

A crisp sound of a payment alert suddenly rang out, leaving both An Rou and Qiuna surprised. They turned to see Su Jiang, one hand cradling the cat bed and the other stashing his phone back into his pocket after making the payment, wearing a slightly innocent expression on his face.

“What are you looking at?” Su Jiang, noticing their stares, asked in confusion. “Isn’t it normal to pay for things you buy?”

“I just calculated the prices on the tags, it should be 50 yuan, right?” An Rou confirmed.

Qiuna’s mouth twitched. Was this the point?

Would a normal person pay in this situation?

Qiuna found Su Jiang’s actions a bit unusual.
