In the end, Jiang Yu didn’t get the chance to confess, because as they kissed, Jiang Zhe pulled her closer, and she became dazed from the affection. Meanwhile, the child seemed to be crying outside, but Jiang Zhe didn’t let her go, saying, “The nanny is outside. She will take care of the child.”

The nanny simply asked, “Did you sleep well last night?”

After dropping Jiang Yu off at her shop, Jiang Zhe headed to the company. However, less than an hour later, he returned.

Seeing him back so soon, Jiang Yu asked in surprise, “Don’t you have anything to do at the company?”

Jiang Zhe calmly found a quiet corner to sit down, took out his laptop, and said, “Nothing urgent. If there’s something, they will come find me. You focus on your work. I’ll take care of mine here.”

They say men look most attractive when they’re working. He looks like a work of art just sitting there—so aesthetically pleasing.”

“Doesn’t it seem like they have a great relationship? Did you notice how her husband kept watching her while she was busy with work?”

“It seems so. The boss has been watching him, even daydreaming when he has nothing to do.”

“If I had such a handsome husband, I’d stare at him every day.”

Just then, Jiang Yu returned, and the two employees quickly pretended to be busy. With nothing to do, Jiang Yu went back to the counter and looked over at Jiang Zhe, noticing that he had already finished the dessert she had brought him.

In the afternoon, Jiang Zhe returned home. That evening, when Jiang Yu got back, a delicious dinner awaited her.

As she ate, she contentedly said, “Coming home after work to have Mr. Snail cook for me—this life is truly happy.”

Seeing her joy, Jiang Zhe felt his appetite increase.

“Then in the future, I’ll go to your shop in the morning and come back in the afternoon to cook for you.”

This reminded Jiang Yu of what Jiang Zhe had said earlier: “Didn’t you mention that Wei Cheng wanted to expand the company and wanted you to return to work? Won’t he mind what you’re doing now?”

Jiang Zhe replied, “I’m already downstairs at the company in the morning. If they need me, they can just come down and cross the street to find me. It’s a lot better than before.”

Jiang Zhe admitted, “I’ve gotten used to it; it’s hard to change.”

He wanted to change, though.

Unable to argue with him, Jiang Yu quickly finished her meal and prepared to go to the supermarket. Before leaving, she asked Jiang Zhe, “Should we take Luo Luo with us? She looks so pitiful being left at home.”

Jiang Zhe responded rationally, “If we take her, we probably won’t be able to buy as much.”

Jiang Yu could only wave goodbye to the little one, saying, “Little treasure Luo Luo, it’s not that Mommy doesn’t want to take you. It’s that Daddy doesn’t want to. You can blame him.”

In the end, they left the little one behind and set off together. As Jiang Zhe had predicted, they ended up buying a lot.
