Would You Confess Your Love To A Mafia Heiress? Chapter 61

Chapter 61: An Rou is still outputting!

“Love is like this.”

Su Jiang revealed all his romantic entanglements at the Inspectorate.

Li Cai and An Mingjie looked serious, while An Rou sat on the side, rubbing her wrists with a lack of energy, still in pain.

Her gaze was fixed on Su Jiang and Li Cai, as if she wanted to devour them.

But she also knew that they were discussing serious matters now, not the time for antics, so she just stared at them.

Su Jiang, Li Cai, you heartless bastards, leaving me here alone to write self-criticism.

“Just you wait!”

“Director Zheng? As far as I know, there isn’t such a Director at the Inspectorate.”

An Mingjie rubbed his chin, quickly analyzing, “There are two possibilities.”

“First, he was recently assigned here, so we weren’t aware. This is normal since it’s hard to get information from the Inspectorate.”

“Second, he has been in Jiangdu for a while but kept a low profile, not revealing his identity.”

“Based on your description to me, with his methods, it’s more likely the second scenario.”

“These kinds of people are tricky to deal with because no one can figure out what they’re up to.”

An Mingjie frowned, clearly taken aback by the unexpected turn of events.

This sudden appearance of Director Zheng, completely unforeseen in his plans, made An Mingjie worried that this Director might disrupt some of his schemes.

Although it’s unlikely, what if it happens?

For the sake of the An family, An Mingjie had to consider every possible scenario and its corresponding solutions thoroughly.

“Let’s leave it at that for now. I’ll think about it more carefully.”

After saying this, An Mingjie headed straight to the study. Whenever he needed to use his brain extensively, he would lock himself in the study, in an absolutely quiet environment, to play chess with himself.

“Phew!”

Just as he let out a sigh of relief, a cushion came flying towards him!

Damn! An assassin!

Su Jiang swiftly caught the cushion, only to meet An Rou’s angry gaze when he looked up.

“Both of you… should explain to me now, shouldn’t you?”

An Rou gritted her teeth, “Do you have any idea how I’ve been spending these past few hours?”

Su Jiang and Li Cai immediately became alert, exchanging a glance that conveyed their mutual understanding.

Uh-oh!

They forgot about this little lady.

“Uh, well, I suddenly remembered that my car seems to be parked on the line, I’ll go move it.”

Li Cai sensed the impending trouble and quickly found an excuse to escape.

Su Jiang also wanted to run, but An Rou pounced on him, pinning him down with force, making him helplessly watch as Li Cai fled.

Li Cai, you jerk!

Does your An family’s yard even have parking lines?

Su Jiang cursed Li Cai ‘s ancestors in his heart, feeling the urge to give him a good beating.

But now, he was pinned down by An Rou, and to make matters worse, An Rou was already rubbing her fists in anticipation.

Su Jiang sensed the danger and managed to force out a smile.

“Uh, I didn’t mean to… Ouch!”

Before Su Jiang could explain, An Rou gritted her teeth and went straight for his shoulder with a bite.

“Damn it, An Rou, are you a dog?”

“Ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch…”

Su Jiang kept exclaiming in pain as An Rou bit him persistently. Even though it was through his clothes, Su Jiang was certain that there would be deep bite marks on his shoulder.

“Who did you just call a dog?”

An Rou looked displeased, showing her teeth, as if implying that if she wasn’t satisfied with Su Jiang’s response, she would bite again.

“…I-I’m a dog.”

“Hmph!”

An Rou coldly snorted, stood up, and sat on the side, throwing the paper and pen that she was just writing on to Su Jiang.

“Write a self-criticism, keep writing until my brother comes out!”

“Huh?”

Su Jiang looked puzzled, taking the paper and pen, and saw the unfinished sentence that An Rou had just written.

“An Mingjie, Li Cai, Su Jiang, big idiots.”

The word “idiots” was clearly only halfway written, and Su Jiang looked up carefully to see that the whole sentence was actually cursing the three of them.

Glancing at the other densely filled papers, Su Jiang’s mouth twitched. Was this little girl so resentful?

Constantly cursing at them?

“Uh, how about we go out to eat something and take a walk?”

Su Jiang tentatively suggested.

He really hated writing self-criticisms. Old Zhang’s self-criticisms were all written by Wang Ziyang.

“No, you must write!”

An Rou pursed her lips, unwilling to compromise.

Su Jiang raised an eyebrow. If you’re going to be like this, then I won’t hold back.

Immediately, he gathered all the self-criticisms that An Rou had written, neatly arranging them, and said:

“An Rou, you wouldn’t want your brother to know the content of your self-criticisms, would you?”

“I don’t care about Old Li, but if An Mingjie finds out that you’re supposedly writing self-criticisms but actually cursing at him to his face…”

“Tsk tsk tsk, forget it, I’ll just honestly write my self-criticism. But unlike some people, I won’t use vulgar language.”

Su Jiang spoke in a strange tone, claiming he would write the self-criticism but didn’t even pick up a pen, just organizing the papers.

“Y-You’re threatening me!”

An Rou widened her eyes, unable to believe that Su Jiang would dare to threaten her.

“What threat? Isn’t this just reality?”

Su Jiang asked strangely, “Aren’t these words written by you?”

“They are written by me, but…”

“Then that settles it!”

Su Jiang stood up and was about to head to the study with the self-criticism book in hand.

“Tsk, suddenly forgot to talk to Brother An about something.”

“Wait, wait, wait…”

An Rou panicked and quickly ran up to stop Su Jiang, timidly saying, “I suddenly remembered, I’m hungry, let’s go out to eat and take a walk!”

If An Mingjie found out about this situation, she would be punished again.

Su Jiang couldn’t help but burst into laughter inside, then pretended to be puzzled and said:

“Why are you pulling me? I really need to talk to Brother An.”

“…Then put down the self-criticism I wrote.”

“No need, I’ll take it inside and write it.”

An Rou’s face turned red with suppressed anger. She knew Su Jiang was doing it on purpose!

Su Jiang felt incredibly pleased inside, thinking, “Serves you right for biting me earlier! Today, I’ll teach this young lady a lesson and show her what goes around comes around.”

An Rou lightly bit her lower lip, then a hint of cunning flashed in her eyes.

Suddenly, An Rou tiptoed and, catching Su Jiang off guard, she hooked her arm around his neck and planted a kiss on his cheek.

“I know I was wrong, shall we go eat or not? I’m hungry.”

An Rou blinked innocently, putting on a pitiful look and using her ultimate skill, the coquettish charm technique.

Feeling the gentle touch on his cheek, Su Jiang was completely stunned.

Damn it! I underestimated her!

He had forgotten about An Rou’s self-taught ultimate move.

“Let’s go eat, shall we?”

An Rou swayed Su Jiang’s hand, blinked her big eyes, and spoke in a sweet and gentle voice.

An Rou hadn’t finished her moves yet, she was still on a winning streak!

Watching An Rou’s adorable appearance, Su Jiang’s heart couldn’t help but beat faster without dignity.

So, after holding out for only two seconds, he sighed and said:

“Fine, let’s go eat.”

Su Jiang, defeated!
