Chapter 1: Tempted by a Look
The woman in the mirror gently closed her eyes, her long, jet-black curls casually draping over her chest, revealing a hint of her snow-white, delicate skin.
Suddenly, she lifted her eyelids, revealing a pair of dark eyes filled with a lazy, seductive smile. A tiny mole at the corner of her eye trembled slightly, making her look just like a bewitching fox spirit from an old folktale.
Her red lips parted, her voice trembling softly, “So, my mission is to bully the female lead, pester the male lead, and humiliate the villain?”
[Cough, cough], “It’s about cooperating with the main storyline to complete the narrative!”
“It sounds like such a serious mission, not damaging to my reputation at all~”
“This is your final mission world. Once completed, you can return to your original world and take revenge on that scumbag and the bitch!”
Time froze while she was doing missions, so whenever she returned to her original world, she could deal with the fresh scum and the traitor.
She wasn’t in a hurry.
Moreover…
“If I fail a mission, I lose 10,000 points. I currently have 990,000 points, so I can afford it.”
[Host, you and the villainous supporting character share the same name. What a coincidence! It would be a shame to give up this mission!]
Jiang Mi sneered. The fact that she had the same name as the original character made her feel even more immersed and enraged.
The original Jiang Mi was the eldest daughter of an elite family, but she was blind and deaf, treating a scheming green tea bimbo as her best friend, a hypocritical scumbag as true love, and a manipulative bodyguard as an honest man. This led her down a path of self-destruction, ending with her tragic death.
Tsk, wouldn’t it be better to stay away from the main characters, avoid the obsessive villain, and just enjoy being a wealthy and beautiful lady?
The woman lazily stretched, intrigued, “I’ve worked so hard for so long; it’s time to relax and indulge in a luxurious and decadent life!”
[No, don’t!!!]
Suddenly, there were three rhythmic knocks on the door.
Then, with a creak, the door opened.
“Miss, the filming crew has arrived.”
The man’s voice was cold, devoid of any warmth.
Yet it was deep, magnetic, with a faint rasp.
Jiang Mi felt a shiver run down her spine, and her fingers accidentally knocked over a bottle, producing a series of crisp sounds.
She lifted her eyes and saw the man reflected in the mirror.
His features were sharp and well-defined, his face handsome and stern. His thin lips were slightly pursed, adding to his sharp and aloof demeanor.
He was like a blade about to be unsheathed, restrained yet unable to hide his lethal aura.
He resembled a fierce lion, majestic and imposing, exuding an overwhelming kingly presence.
Even through the mirror, she could feel the intense, overpowering masculine energy radiating from him.
Powerful.
Dangerous and deadly.
This was Gu Chuan, the villain she was supposed to “humiliate.”
Jiang Mi’s heart suddenly trembled, and her red lips curved into a satisfied smile.
“Dumb-dumb, I’ll make sure to complete this mission.”
[Alright, alright! Wait, weren’t you just saying you wanted to relax? What changed so suddenly?]
“Perhaps… I was tempted by a look.”
???
!!!
[Host, stay clear-headed! He’s the villain, you’re supposed to humiliate him, not seduce him!]
Jiang Mi ignored the system’s whimpering and quickly filtered through the plot details related to the villain.
The villain had a dark childhood, which left him cold and brooding. The original character’s father was the only person who had ever helped him. Later, when the original character entered the entertainment industry, her father, worried that she might be bullied, asked the villain to look after her for a while, also hoping to match them up.
The villain dutifully fulfilled his role, but the original character found him meddlesome. With the female lead badmouthing the villain behind his back, the original character grew increasingly disgusted with him.
This was exactly what the female lead wanted.
The female lead had inadvertently discovered the villain’s true identity and began harboring thoughts of stringing him along. She deliberately encouraged the original character to mistreat the villain while she took the opportunity to comfort him.
However, the villain was as hard-hearted as stone and remained unmoved.
As the saying goes, “What you can’t have always stirs desire.”
The female lead, blessed with a charm that made everyone love her, found herself inexplicably drawn to the one person who didn’t love her—the villain. This only fueled her competitive spirit.
Naturally, this enraged the male lead and several other male characters, who eventually teamed up to eliminate the villain.
Tsk, so the original character’s purpose in humiliating the villain was to pave the way for the female lead’s conquest.
Unfortunately, she was now the foolish original character, and the villain was the man she had her eyes on.
Well, this time, she’d tailor that “wedding dress” for herself.
Jiang Mi lightly tapped the floor with her toes, causing the swivel chair to turn halfway.
She tilted her head slightly, letting her long black curls cascade down, her soft, alluring eyes curving into a smile as she stared unblinkingly at the man.
“Come here.”
“Yes, Miss.”
The man’s voice was as cold as ever, his long legs silently carrying him forward until he stopped two steps away—a safe yet distant distance.
His narrow eyes briefly flickered with surprise when he saw the woman’s stunningly beautiful face, but the emotion quickly vanished, replaced by cold indifference.
Jiang Mi measured the distance between them with her eyes, the corners of her upturned eyes tinged with a teasing smile.
“Your mistress orders you to come closer.”
The man looked at Jiang Mi, his gaze slightly lowered, devoid of much respect, with a fleeting hint of impatience.
His thin lips coldly spat out a single emotionless phrase, “Yes, Miss,” and he took another step forward.
The smile in Jiang Mi’s eyes deepened as she lightly pressed her delicate white arm against the armrest, intending to rise.
At that moment, the system issued a new task.
[Ding! Please complete the plot where the host harshly humiliates the villain with her foot!]
Jiang Mi’s slender fingers lightly pinched her earlobe, and she clicked her tongue. The system quickly added, [You said you wouldn’t slack off—please complete the task properly!]
“Got it~”
Ignoring the system, Jiang Mi tilted her long swan-like neck, revealing an extraordinarily beautiful face, and curved her lips into a slight smile. “Mr. Bodyguard, you were very disobedient just now.”
As a bodyguard, he was supposed to serve her day and night, enduring the young lady’s whims and humiliations without complaint.
Over the past two months, Gu Chuan had experienced countless “punishments” and “humiliations.”
He lowered his gaze indifferently, his deep, sexy voice devoid of any emotion. “Please punish me, Miss.”
A long, fair leg swayed within the red dress.
Suddenly, with a crisp clink, a glittering silver high heel dropped onto the floor, the butterfly embellishment at the heel spreading its wings gracefully—both elegant and seductive.
The woman’s porcelain-white, delicate foot was now exposed to the air, gently swaying, barely brushing against the man’s pant leg.
“Help me put on my shoes.”
Her tone lost a bit of its overbearing arrogance, gaining a hint of coquettishness, soft and tender, as if every word was laced with charm.
Gu Chuan’s gaze remained cold as he looked at Jiang Mi, his deep, magnetic voice tinged with icy chill. “Miss, my hands are dirty. I’m not worthy of touching your noble ankle.”
Jiang Mi suddenly remembered that the female lead had spread rumors that the villain had a contagious disease, which made the original character treat him like the plague, forbidding him from getting close—let alone touching her ankle.
She raised an eyebrow, her soft toes lightly tapping Gu Chuan’s pant leg, her voice filled with a spoiled, domineering tone. “So, are you disobeying my orders now?”
Gu Chuan looked at her and coldly uttered two words, “I wouldn’t dare.”
With that, he knelt on one knee…
