Chapter 10 Yuwan Sees Red

“Shaoyu.” Shu Yuwan stood up to greet An Shaoyu. Meeting his gaze, she smiled gently and said, “I heard that Father and Mother have arrived. They are in the main hall now. I’ll go and see.”

An Shaoyu nodded, saying, “Father called for me.”

“Then let’s go together.” Shu Yuwan stood by An Shaoyu’s side. The maids Qing He and Qing Dai, along with the servant sent by the Master, all stepped back and followed behind the couple.

As they walked and chatted softly, appearing harmonious, after a few steps, An Shaoyu suddenly reached out and pushed Shu Yuwan forward!

Shu Yuwan let out a loud “Ah” and hurriedly fell forward!

Qing He, quick to react, tried to catch Yuwan, but Qing Dai, who had seen clearly from her angle that the Third Young Master hadn’t touched Madam, also tried to grab her and accidentally caught Qing He instead. With Yuwan falling completely, Qing Dai let go of Qing He and rushed to Yuwan’s side. Qing He, on the verge of tears, asked anxiously, “Madam, are you okay?”

Crying, Qing Dai said, “Third Young Master, Madam is over six months pregnant. How could you push her like that!”

“Qing He, go to the main hall and bring my father and mother here! Quickly!”

“Madam, let me go find the mansion’s doctor first.” Qing He, seeing Yuwan’s skirt stained red, was anxious.

“No! Go to the main hall and bring my father and mother. I want to divorce! Go immediately!” Yuwan frowned.

“Alright, please don’t worry. I’ll go right away!” Qing He, not daring to delay, immediately got up. The main hall was very close, so she quickly found the An Shaoyud his wife. Sending someone to fetch the mansion’s doctor wouldn’t take long.

The servant, standing behind Qing He and Qing Dai, only saw the Third Young Master push the Third Young Madam. He was dumbfounded! After hesitating for a moment, he hurried to the main hall to report to the Master.

In no time, Minister Shu, Madam Shu, and Shu Yuwan’s two brothers arrived in a panic. Seeing Yuwan still sitting on the ground, her skirt stained with blood, Madam Shu exclaimed, “My child!”

“Father, Mother!” With red eyes, Shu Yuwan cried, “I want a divorce! I want a divorce!”

Seeing his daughter like this, Madam Shu’s heart felt like it was being pierced by needles. She said softly, “Alright, alright, we’ll divorce. Come home with Mother, don’t be afraid!”

Minister Shu stood behind Madam Shu, his face so cold it could drip water, watching his daughter.

Shu Yuwan looked at An Shaoyu, his face tense and his eyes icy. Shu Yucheng, seeing his sister’s condition, rushed forward and punched An Shaoyu several times in the face and body.

The An Shaoyud his wife, along with the Grandmother, arrived shortly after. Seeing the scene before them, the Master sighed, “The Shu family’s marriage alliance cannot be saved!”

 Wei Shi called out to the maids behind her, “What are you all standing around for? Hurry, help the Third Young Madam up and take her back to the Begonia Courtyard!”

“I’m not going back to the Begonia Courtyard. I want a divorce!” Shu Yuwan’s voice was cold.

“Well…”  Wei Shi didn’t know what to do, feeling unsure about Yuwan’s cold demeanor.

“Xiangya, Yuwan, whether we divorce or not, it’s most important to go back to the Begonia Courtyard nearby and have the mansion’s doctor check on Yuwan. Whether we divorce or not, we can’t risk harming her health!” The Grandmother spoke with great concern.

Madam Shu thought the Grandmother’s words made sense. Yuwan’s health was the most important, and she added, “Yuwan, let’s divorce, but can we have the mansion’s doctor check on you first?”

“Yuwan, listen to me. Don’t worry about your child.” Her mother was also afraid that something might happen to his daughter.

An Shaoyu was left bruised and swollen, sitting in a corner, silently waiting for the outcome.

“Don’t worry, Father and Mother. It won’t take long. In fact, my husband has already given me the divorce letter, and he has already signed it,” Shu Yuwan said, taking out the prepared divorce letter and handing it to Minister Shu. She continued, “Father and the Master have sent someone with the divorce letter to register it at the government office!”

“Yuwan, don’t think about this now. Go back to the Begonia Courtyard, see the mansion’s doctor, and then consider these matters!” The Grandmother’s words were urgent.

Shu Yuwan shook her head, saying, “No, I want to divorce first! Whether this child stays or not doesn’t make a difference now! If he’s unwilling, cutting ties is also an option!”

Seeing the anticipation in An Shaoyu’s eyes, which he couldn’t hide, and the expression on his face, which Minister Shu had already noticed, he knew that further delay was pointless. Apologetically, he said to Minister Shu, “I’m sorry!”

Minister Shu coldly replied, “Master, send someone immediately!”

Hearing this, Shu Yuwan breathed a sigh of relief.

“Yuwan, your father has already taken care of it. Quickly go back to the Begonia Courtyard and let the mansion’s doctor check on you!” Madam Shu was extremely anxious.

The Grandmother, who had been persuading all along, fell silent, feeling a heavy weight on her chest as she watched the situation unfold.

 Wei Shi, still worried about the child in Shu Yuwan’s belly, even if they divorced, it would still be her legitimate grandchild. She added her advice, “Yes, Yuwan, go back and let the mansion’s doctor check on you first.”

The group then headed to the Begonia Courtyard. The Grandmother said she couldn’t bear it and went back first, leaving someone behind to listen for updates.

At the Begonia Courtyard, the mansion’s doctor had already arrived and was waiting.

“From the pulse, the Third Young Madam is fine, and the child is okay. However, she has started menstruating. She should rest quietly and recuperate. I’ll prescribe a tonic for her to take.”

Shu Yuwan Mother breathed a sigh of relief.

 Wei Shi, feeling relieved, said, “As long as everything is fine. As long as everything is fine. Since Yuwan is okay, why not quickly send someone to bring back the officials who went to report the divorce!”

Upon hearing this, Shu Yuwan looked at her mother in a panic.

Madam Shu comfortingly patted her daughter’s hand, saying, “Don’t worry.”

“Well, An Shaoyu must have done it accidentally,”Wei Shi said with little conviction. She didn’t know if her son was intentionally refusing his own child, committing such a sin!

Madam Shu, facing the people from the Anding Mansion, remained cold throughout and replied, “Who knows?”

“Qing Dai, pack up my things. Also, bring me the list of my dowry,” Shu Yuwan instructed softly.

“Mother, since I’m fine, let’s go back to the Shu Mansion today. Since you and Father are both here today, let’s pack up my dowry and take it with us!”
