Chapter 107 Crown Grandson

In the Palace.

Shu Yuwan paced around the room. With the hot weather making it inconvenient to walk in the garden, she opten walk inside the room instead. Despite the heat, she insisted on walking for half an hour every day, splitting it into several sessions to complete.

Yimei and another palace maid, Yilan, followed closely behind.

When Shu Yuwan finally stopped to rest, she didn’t feel very tired, but Yimei and Yilan were sweating profusely.

Mother Zhao saw Shu Yuwan resting and began updating her on the baby’s condition.

As Shu Yuwan was close to giving birth, her body felt heavy, making it difficult to walk. However, she didn’t want to slack off, knowing that childbirth was a challenging process. She continue to move around, despite with some difficulty.

In recent nights, she found it hard to breathe while sleeping due to the pressure on her body from her belly. This lack of rest affected her energy during the day, leading her to skip checking on the baby daily. Mother Zhao updated her on the baby’s condition each day.

“As per your instructions, Miss started memorizing the Three-Character Classic yesterday. Although she doesn’t remember it clearly, she has a good memory. After a few repetitions, she can recall it.”

Shu Yuwan nodded with a smile.

“The craftsman made a small wooden horse, which Miss really liked.”

Mother Zhao meticulously reported every detail, big or small, to Shu Yuwan.

Qing Dai said, “There’s still no news from Miss Lianzhi, and nothing from the Fifth prince side either. I know you’re concerned, and I’ll inform you as soon as there’s any update.”

The experienced midwife chuckled, “Your Highness, the Crown Princess just entered the delivery room. She can’t shout now; she needs to save her energy for when she gives birth!”

The Crown Prince felt reassured after hearing this.

As he tried to push the door to check on Shu Yuwan, the midwife quickly stopped him, “Your Highness, you can’t go in. There are midwives and the midwife inside. Please don’t worry.”

Just then, news reached Ning Wang Fei, who had also arrived.

Wang Fei had been prepared in advance to accompany Shu Yuwan during childbirth and relay the situation inside the delivery room to the Crown Prince.

Upon Wang Fei’s entrance, Shu Yuwan only managed a smile before another wave of intense pain hit her, leaving her too weak to speak.

Approaching her, Wang Fei said, “Good child, you’ve endured a lot. Just focus on giving birth; your mother-in-law is here with you.”

Shu Yuwan, biting down on a towel, nodded at Wang Fei.

An elderly midwife stood behind Shu Yuwan, supporting her waist to help her stand.

The midwife skillfully pushed Shu Yuwan’s abdomen, reassuring her, “The baby’s position is correct. This birth will be smooth; “Your Highness, rest assured.”

The Crown Prince waited outside for almost an hour.

The midwife advised, “Your Highness, childbirth is not a quick process. You should rest for a while and return later when the Crown Princess has given birth.”

The Crown Prince waved his hand, dismissing the suggestion.

Although the Crown Mother had just come out and said everything was going smoothly, Shu Yuwan’s cries were now intense, making it impossible for him to calm down.

He couldn’t sit still anymore, despite being composed moments ago.

Half an hour later, the midwife exclaimed, “The head is out, the head is out…”

Shu Yuwan breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this.

The midwife cautioned, “Your Highness, don’t push anymore.”

Qing Dai closed her mouth and turned to the delivery room with the Crown Prince. Suddenly, they heard a loud cry of a newborn baby!

The Crown Prince exclaimed joyfully, “Yuwan has given birth!”
