Chapter 9
Youyi has never been in love.
In the romance novels she read in high school, the development between the male and female leads was gradual, from strangers to familiarity, hand-holding, hugging, and then kissing.
She had experienced extreme pleasure with him, but essentially, she was just infatuated with that pleasure.
That’s why she allowed his advances.
No one could resist a man as tall, handsome, and filled with sensual hormones as Fu Cheng.
He was so strong.
Now he was asking if she wanted to try kissing. Youyi’s heart raced, and she could even feel a tingling sensation in her lower abdomen.
She had never kissed anyone before.
With Fu Cheng, he had only kissed her chin, neck, and other places.
“How do we try?” Youyi didn’t want to appear too weak in front of him, even though her voice was clearly trembling.
In the darkness, his chest was vibrating as he spoke softly, “You’ll find out if you kiss me.”
It seemed he was tempting her.
A kiss would reveal it.
His muscular arm was pressed against her waist, heating up her tender white skin, turning it red. Youyi grabbed his wrist but lacked the courage to move. In the next second, his overwhelming presence covered her.
During military training, Youyi had secretly watched him on the field.
The stern, determined man, issuing commands with a cold face, completing three hundred push-ups and one hundred pull-ups effortlessly, and handling a gun with ease—his strength made people look up to him.
Now he was pressing her down, fiercely taking in her softness.
Having tasted it, he knew how wonderful it was.
Everything he did was as sharp and commanding as he was.
A single kiss was overwhelming for Youyi.
His body was like a wall, and she couldn’t push him away. Until her eyes were red, she was gasping for breath and could only mumble softly, “No more…”
Fu Cheng stopped.
He lifted her, holding her bottom in his large hand, and walked forward effortlessly.
Youyi was left feeling empty, holding onto his neck, clinging tightly to him.
He sat on the sofa and placed her in his lap.
The living room light was still off, with only a faint light from the balcony. Youyi sat on his lap, her soft cheek resting against his neck, unable to lift her head.
“First time?” Fu Cheng’s deep voice came through.
Youyi didn’t answer.
What’s so special about a first kiss? Who knew it could be this intense?
“Do you like it?” Fu Cheng whispered in her ear.
Oh my God…
Throughout that kiss, she was entirely under his control, experiencing his full, dominating presence, but she actually found… she really liked it.
Unlike the physical comfort, she felt her heart was also being filled, experiencing the intimate magnetic field that exists between lovers.
“If you like the kind of thing in the video, I can do that too.”
His voice was husky, “If you want to try, just let me know.”
As long as she likes it.
He can make her—
Feel really good.
“I don’t like it,” Youyi denied.
Her denial lacked conviction.
He knew her face was red and deliberately probed, “You don’t like it, but still watched?”
The room was too dark. Even though the air conditioning was on, Youyi still felt like she couldn’t breathe.
Annoying, she couldn’t answer Fu Cheng’s question.
No more watching in the future!
Really, no more watching!
It was all Huang Youyi’s fault, insisting on sending her that five-minute video.
Her phone rang on the table. Youyi hurried to pick it up. As she got off him, her legs were too weak to stand, and Fu Cheng had to steady her.
She didn’t have time to worry because the call was from her mother.
Youyi answered the call and obediently said, “Mom.”
“Do you have any classes tonight?” her mother asked.
“No,” Youyi said, trying to keep her voice steady, “I’m at home.”
“I told you before to ask Fu Cheng for help. Did you talk to him about it?”
Afraid Fu Cheng would overhear, Youyi moved to the side and whispered, “No.”
“Is he at home now?”
Youyi, who wasn’t good at lying, found it hard to say “No” with Fu Cheng watching her directly.
So, she had to concede and answer, “He is.”
“Let me talk to him. I’ll explain.”
Sometimes, Youyi felt helpless about her mother’s unreasonable and intrusive requests. For instance, asking Fu Cheng to help her despite only meeting him once.
Youyi couldn’t bring herself to do it.
She glanced at Fu Cheng, hesitating.
Fu Cheng turned on the light, making the living room bright instantly.
Seeing her troubled expression and understanding it involved him, Fu Cheng leaned back on the sofa, waiting for Youyi to speak.
Her mother urged her not to procrastinate.
“You listen to your grandfather instead of us. What do you think the agreement of the older generation has to do with you? If you are asked to get married, then get married.”
Youyi was brought up under control and is the type of person who still has curfews. She is not allowed to date and of course they do not accept her getting married suddenly.
However, since it was her grandfather’s last wish, they had no choice but to agree.
Youyi didn’t want to listen to her anymore.
She looked at Fu Cheng, gesturing towards the phone with a furrowed brow.
Fu Cheng remained unmoved, gesturing for her to sit next to him.
Youyi had no choice but to sit beside him.
Once she was settled, Fu Cheng took the phone and, with one arm around her waist, lifted her gently to sit on his lap.
He was so unreasonable.
He was holding her while making the call, clearly intending for her to overhear.
“Hello, I’m Fu Cheng,” he said, his tone as indifferent as ever, with a touch more respect.
Just his voice made Chen Lan pause for a moment on the other end of the line.
“I’m Youyi’s mother. We met last time.”
They had met on the day of her grandfather’s death.
Fu Cheng acknowledged.
“There’s a matter. Youyi’s cousin, a freshman this year, wants to enlist and has some questions to consult with you.”
Fu Cheng responded, “Sure, go ahead.”
His tone was very respectful.
Even through the phone, Fu Cheng’s voice carried a strong presence. Chen Lan quickly ended the call after a few brief words.
He handed the phone back to Youyi.
Youyi had just heard their conversation.
“It’s fine. You don’t have to worry about her.”
Some things are pointless to ask more about, and her cousin’s situation wasn’t settled yet, but Chen Lan was like that—insisting on making things complicated.
Fu Cheng said, “Your family’s matters are my matters. It’s not a problem.”
He seemed not to find it troublesome at all.
Youyi looked at him and didn’t speak further.
“Youyi, why did you agree to marry me?” Fu Cheng suddenly asked, “Was it voluntary?”
He was much older than her, lived a rather indifferent life, and in modern terms, they had a generational gap of two and a half.
Why was he asking her this?
Youyi didn’t answer but countered with a question of her own, “What about you?”
Fu Cheng held her waist, his long legs spread in front of the coffee table, and replied, “If I weren’t willing, do you think anyone could force me?”
Youyi felt her heart clench.
It was a bit itchy and inexplicably fast.
Why… did she feel like Fu Cheng was always hinting at something?
But they were not close before the marriage, and even now, they had just started to get to know each other.
That’s all.
No more, right?
She stole a glance at him and didn’t pursue the matter further.
Youyi put one hand on the sofa and tried to get up, but before she could move, Fu Cheng pushed her back. He held her waist, lowered his head, and gave her another fierce and forceful kiss.
She almost collapsed, but was held steady by his big hands.
When he let her go, his chest was rising and falling slightly.
He was still squeezing her hand.
It hit her spot completely!
“Fu Cheng, I’m angry!” Youyi was clearly feeling a mix of embarrassment and anger. Fu Cheng’s calm demeanor, despite entering her personal space, made her feel humiliated.
She retaliated by pinching him back.
Her strength was so minimal that it barely registered with Fu Cheng.
She glared at him with an expression that looked more cute than threatening.
He remained unperturbed.
“I think we should set some ground rules,” Youyi suggested seriously, standing in front of him.
Fu Cheng looked at her, signaling her to continue.
“First, we are still neighbors, so we should maintain a proper distance between us.”
Marriage certificates are a separate issue.
“Second, we should keep our relationship private outside.”
This would help avoid unnecessary complications.
“Third…”
Youyi hesitated, considering the feasibility of this rule. Her voice dropped significantly.
“If we do it, it should be… once a month.”
She wasn’t opposed to intimacy with him but found it daunting and felt a need to limit its frequency.
Everything needs some boundaries, or things could get out of hand.
Youyi finished her proposal.
Fu Cheng listened quietly, resting his hand on his knee and gently tapping it. He didn’t dispute any of her terms.
Youyi said, “Since you have no objections, it’s settled.”
Fu Cheng nodded and said calmly, “You’ve made several requests, so I’ll make one.”
Youyi didn’t immediately agree but probed, “What is it?”
It couldn’t be unreasonable.
She absolutely would not accept anything excessive.
The chandelier in the living room was a beautiful cloud shape, and the warm light made Fu Cheng’s features appear even more chiseled.
Fu Cheng looked at Youyi with an unreadable expression, his tone seemingly neutral as he said, “Be a bit gentler with me.”
Just a bit gentler.
Is that acceptable?
“I haven’t—” Youyi was about to protest but recalled her previous harsh words.
She had only scolded him once, so why did it seem like she was overly harsh?
“Alright, I got it,” Youyi responded softly, muttering, “I’m not that fierce.”
