Chapter 8 : Mr. took her shopping
As soon as Fu Sichan returned, the housekeeper left and moved to the adjacent room.
Only the two of them were left in the house.
Mu Qianqian clutched the hem of her dress, feeling a bit nervous. “Mr. Fu.”
She was wearing a pure white floral dress, looking like a white jasmine swaying in the wind.
The young girl had just finished her milk, with a bit of white milk residue still at the corner of her rosy mouth, giving her a cute and innocent appearance.
“Have you gotten everything you need?”
Mu Qianqian answered tentatively, “Not yet.”
Fu Sichan said firmly, “Let’s go. I’ll take you to buy what you need.”
Mu Qianqian was a bit flustered by the attention. “No, it’s fine. Mr. Wang can take me.”
Mr. Wang was Fu Sichan’s assistant.
Hearing her call him “Mr.” made Fu Sichan inexplicably displeased.
“What did you call him?” Fu Sichan’s tone was cold, carrying a chilling undertone.
Mu Qianqian, feeling scared, didn’t dare to speak.
“From now on, call him Assistant Wang.”
Mu Qianqian answered cautiously, “I understand.”
“Come with me.”
Fu Sichan took the glass from her hand and placed it on the table. Then he grabbed her wrist and led her out of the room.
He had a severe cleanliness obsession and generally disliked those vulgar women coming close.
Yet, surprisingly, holding this naive girl’s hand didn’t evoke any sense of disgust in him.
Maybe it was because she didn’t have any heavy makeup, just a faint fragrance of flowers and milk.
“Mr. Fu, why are you personally taking me to buy things?” Mu Qianqian asked curiously.
Fu Sichan’s face darkened, “Don’t ask so many questions.”
He was originally busy with a meeting, but the persistent calls from his grandmother forced him to put down his work and take care of this little blind girl.
“She’s your wife. If you don’t take care of her, who will?” That was what Old Lady Fu said.
Fu Sichan’s inexplicable sharpness left Mu Qianqian looking down, appearing somewhat disheartened.
Fu Sichan felt a twinge of frustration. But he wasn’t good at comforting people, and he was even worse at soothing a delicate young girl.
Women are just troublesome.
Seeing a vendor selling candied hawthorns by the roadside, he casually asked, “Do you want some candied hawthorns?”
The little girl he was holding finally lifted her head and murmured, “… Yes.”
Not only was she a beauty lover, but she also had a sweet tooth.
Fu Sichan had his assistant buy a string of candied hawthorns. Mu Qianqian took a lick of the sugary coating and was immensely satisfied.
Seeing her reaction, Fu Sichan scoffed, “Are you this happy just because of a string of candied hawthorns?”
Mu Qianqian replied softly, “I’ve never had them before. My mother only bought them for my brother.”
Once, Mu Qianqian had been so craving them that she had sneaked a lick from the stick her brother had finished. The sweet taste was something she still remembered.
Fu Sichan’s face stiffened, feeling a bit uneasy.
As soon as they got into the car, Mu Qianqian noticed it was different from the one she had ridden in before. The previous car had soft seats, but this one was a bit hard.
Of course, she didn’t know that this was a regular car Fu Sichan had specifically bought, costing only around two to three hundred thousand yuan.
As Mu Qianqian’s vision was about to recover, he didn’t want to reveal too much of his wealth in front of her.
Whether she was genuinely innocent or had deep motives, Fu Sichan couldn’t yet conclude.
Arriving at the supermarket, Fu Sichan led Mu Qianqian out of the car.
Walking past the dazzling array of shelves, Mu Qianqian could only see blurred outlines through the white cloth covering her eyes and couldn’t choose items for herself.
“What color do you want for the toothbrush and cup?”
Mu Qianqian’s voice was sweet. “Pink.”
Fu Sichan placed the pink toiletries into the shopping cart. “What about the towels?”
“Pink too.”
When they reached the towel section, Fu Sichan paused slightly, his expression darkening. He coldly tossed the pink towels into the cart.
While shopping, Mu Qianqian noticed that people around seemed to be looking at them.
She thought it was because the white cloth on her eyes looked odd, drawing unwanted attention.
Feeling a bit disheartened, she unconsciously slowed her pace.
But Fu Sichan was tall and long-legged, and with her moving slowly, she quickly fell behind.
In the busy supermarket, Mu Qianqian stood helplessly in place.
She called out a couple of times, “Mr., Mr.?”
No one responded.
She felt like a stray kitten abandoned by the roadside, surrounded by unfamiliar and dangerous surroundings.
Her heart sank as she hesitated to move, afraid of bumping into others. She squatted down, hugging her knees.
She wasn’t sure if it was her imagination, but she vaguely felt a bit of discomfort and pain in her lower abdomen.
After a couple of minutes, Fu Sichan hurriedly came over and found her in a corner.
“What are you doing squatting here?”
Hearing the familiar voice, Mu Qianqian’s anxiety lifted.
She stood up and rushed into his arms, her voice trembling as she said, “Mr., I finally found you.”
The little girl’s face looked pale, and her hands were cold. It was clear she had been truly frightened.
Seeing this, Fu Sichan couldn’t bring himself to be harsh with her anymore.
Fine, just consider her as an immature child.
“How long are you going to hold on?” Fu Sichan asked coolly.
Mu Qianqian blushed and quickly pulled away from his embrace.
She had been so frightened earlier that she had thrown herself into his arms, which was quite unreserved of her.
But the fragrance on Mr. was pleasantly mature and fresh.
Fu Sichan continued to hold Mu Qianqian’s hand as they shopped, this time keeping a close watch on her, afraid she might get lost again.
On their way back, Mu Qianqian kept holding her stomach.
As soon as she got out of the car, Fu Sichan looked up and saw a fresh red stain on the back of her skirt.
“Wait.”
Mu Qianqian stopped and asked, “Mr., what’s wrong?”
Fu Sichan looked somewhat embarrassed. “Stay in the car and wait for me.”
“Okay,” Mu Qianqian obediently didn’t ask further and groped her way back into the car, waiting patiently.
Fu Sichan went to the nearest convenience store, heading straight for the women’s hygiene products section.
Having never bought such items before, he didn’t know how to choose, so he picked out a few packs of the most expensive ones based on the labels.
The cashier had been sneaking glances at him. Such a handsome man was rare to see. Beyond his good looks, his cold, unapproachable demeanor was even more intriguing.
She hadn’t expected the handsome man was buying sanitary napkins for his girlfriend.
The cashier thought it was a pity in her heart.
Fu Sichan carried a bag of sanitary napkins with a colder expression, and the young women who had thought of striking up a conversation with him dared not approach.
Back in the car, he took Mu Qianqian upstairs, handed her the sanitary napkins, and said in a stiff tone, “You know how to use these, right?”
Mu Qianqian felt the stickiness on her clothes and suddenly realized what had happened.
She had unexpectedly started her period, stained her dress, and had her husband, whom she had just met, buy her sanitary napkins.
Oh my God, she was so embarrassed.
Mr. must think she’s a mess.
