What Wu Hao said was completely impossible, because not only would their club be unwilling to sell them, but even if they were, whether these two players themselves would agree to come play in Asia was a huge issue. After all, given their level, it would be somewhat of an overreach for an Asian club.
In short, even if Wu Hao wanted to buy a few stars for his club, they certainly wouldn’t be top-tier; at most, they would be mid-to-high-level players.
After chatting a bit more with the somewhat fanciful tour guide, Wu Hao bid farewell to his family, telling them he would not join the upcoming shopping activities due to other commitments. He advised them to enjoy their time shopping with the tour guide.
Indeed, Hong Kong, aside from shopping, didn’t have much in the way of scenic spots, and shopping was precisely what Wu Hao disliked the most. Thus, he decided not to participate. Moreover, he actually had a matter in Hong Kong that required his personal attention.
This matter involved a financial management team that operated on his behalf through an AI brain. Wu Hao’s visit to meet them was just a convenient stopover; even if he hadn’t shown up, it wouldn’t have mattered. However, since he was already in Hong Kong, it was necessary to meet them in person and give some personal instructions.
After bidding farewell to his family, Wu Hao called for a car and left the hotel, while his parents and their party, accompanied by several bodyguards and the tour guide, began their sightseeing and shopping activities.
Wu Hao had arranged to meet the leader of the financial team in a VIP room at a trading building. After a brief conversation with them, he left, preparing to return to the hotel.
Although Wu Hao had finished his business, he did not join his family for shopping because he knew his sister, Li Xiaoyun, and his cousin, along with the group of women, would be occupied with shopping for quite a while.
As for safety concerns, he wasn’t worried. He currently had no enemies and didn’t expect any troublemakers to target his family. Even if they encountered minor issues, the bodyguards following them could handle it effectively.
After all, the bodyguards Wu Hao hired were well-paid and not idle. Although their skills were far from matching Wu Hao’s, they were more than capable of dealing with ordinary people.
“Sir, I’m sorry, but there might be a delay. It looks like there’s been a traffic accident ahead.” On the way back to the hotel, the driver, who was also the one who had picked him up from the airport, apologetically informed Wu Hao. These vehicles had been designated for Wu Hao’s use during his stay in Hong Kong.
“I understand. Wait here for a moment; I’ll get out and take a look.” Wu Hao wasn’t too concerned by the driver’s warning. He had already sensed through his telepathy what had happened ahead and discovered that the occupants of the accident vehicle seemed to be trapped inside. According to his observation, if the injured people were not removed from the vehicle within five minutes, the vehicle would likely explode, reducing them to nothing.
Given the current traffic conditions, it was unlikely that rescue vehicles could reach the accident site within five minutes. Besides the severely damaged vehicle, several other cars had been involved in collisions, though none had resulted in injuries.
The owner of the most severely damaged vehicle up ahead wasn’t so fortunate. Although Wu Hao wasn’t someone who usually meddled in such matters, since he was already here, he couldn’t just stand by and do nothing.
So, after informing the driver, Wu Hao stepped out of the car. The driver was unsure how to react, as he didn’t expect someone like Wu Hao, who was wealthy and influential, to be the type to intervene. Nevertheless, Wu Hao was already heading toward the accident site.
“The driver inside is trapped. We need to clear the surrounding vehicles first. It seems we can only wait for the rescue team to arrive,” Wu Hao heard from the concerned bystanders who had gathered around. These people, mostly car owners and bystanders who had called for help, were preparing to assist.
“Everyone, clear out. This vehicle might explode soon.” Wu Hao said as he approached the accident vehicle.
“Explosion? Is that true?” The people around, whether they believed it or not, started to move away from the accident site.
Some onlookers, seeing Wu Hao preparing to assist, said, “It’s useless. The person inside is unconscious and trapped. Even with so many people working together, we couldn’t help. We’ll have to wait for the rescue team.”
Wu Hao didn’t respond to the people’s remarks, as he already had a clear understanding of the accident scene through his mental perception.
The vehicle was severely damaged and overturned, but fortunately, it was a valuable sports car. Though the car was in bad shape, the occupant, a woman, was merely unconscious with her hand trapped inside. However, if she wasn’t rescued within a few minutes, she would likely suffer severe injuries or worse.
Indeed, the injured occupant was a beautiful woman. Otherwise, there might not have been so many eager men trying to rescue her.
Wu Hao’s reason for helping wasn’t because the injured person was a beautiful woman. Given his current mindset, he wasn’t the type to be swayed just by encountering a beautiful face.
In fact, with Wu Hao’s current power and status, getting any woman he desired would be straightforward. After all, in a society dominated by money, he was never short of it. But his values had long transcended material wealth.
Recently, Wu Hao had privately reflected on the fact that once he stood at the pinnacle of the world, both in personal power and social influence, his mindset would change. After all, when one is always in a position of control, everything is viewed from the perspective of a master.
Just like now, with his telekinesis, mental perception, and mastery of advanced technology, Wu Hao felt that whatever he did was entirely at his discretion.
The feeling of invincibility can indeed be quite lonely at times!
