Watching the Drama Unfold, Part 3
Ye Mo originally planned to enjoy the drama from the sidelines, but to her surprise, she became part of the spectacle.
At this moment, Zhang Yuming looked at Yu He and asked, “Are we just after her child?”
“Brother Ming, are you stupid? We need both her and the child. That woman gets pregnant so easily. As long as we have her, we’ll never run out of star coins in the future,” Yu He said, revealing her true intentions.
Ye Mo was stunned. This wasn’t how it was in the book. In the story, that woman was always out to take Yu Mo’s life.
Moreover, the book said Yu Mo’s child was lost…
But why would the child be lost?
In this world where children are so scarce, unless Yu Mo didn’t want it, the child wouldn’t just be lost.
Ye Mo really couldn’t understand the original protagonist’s thoughts. Could it be because Zhang Yuming refused to acknowledge the child as his, so she decided to get rid of it?
That’s actually possible!
Now that she knew Yu He wanted to use her as a breeding machine, Ye Mo was genuinely angry. What should she do?
As Ye Mo was pondering her next move, Mo Mo had already come upstairs. As soon as he arrived, he noticed Prince Caser sitting beside Ye Mo. His eyes narrowed slightly but quickly returned to normal. He had a disguise on, so he wasn’t worried.
He walked straight to Ye Mo, reached out his hand, and said, “Baby, it’s time to go home!”
Ye Mo responded with a soft “Hmm” and took Mo Mo’s hand, allowing him to lead her downstairs.
Prince Caser felt a strange sense of familiarity when he heard that “Hmm,” but he quickly shook his head to dismiss the thought.
Most of the people on this planet are natives. This is his first time here; how could he know anyone?
Prince Caser closed his eyes and began to meditate…
After Ye Mo and Mo Mo went downstairs, Ye Mo told him about her discovery, even mentioning how Yu He had asked Zhang Yuming to capture her.
“Just a minor figure, nothing to worry about. But you should stay home for the time being. If you need anything, I’ll get it for you. How does that sound?” Mo Mo suggested.
“Sure!” Ye Mo agreed.
After reaching the first floor, Mo Mo still hadn’t let go of Ye Mo’s hand, holding it as they strolled around the floor.
At this point, Zhang Yuming had already separated from Yu He. Yu He, with her two bodyguards, continued shopping, buying a pile of things before leaving with Prince Caser, satisfied.
Ye Mo and Mo Mo watched as Prince Caser and Yu He left. Not long after, Zhang Yuming also left, joy evident on his face.
Ye Mo was speechless. Yu He was clearly using Zhang Yuming, but the former male lead in the book was actually so pleased about it…
Was it because of the 300,000?
But considering Zhang Yuming’s middle-class background, 300,000 star coins were indeed a substantial amount.
“Really unbelievable!” Ye Mo couldn’t help but shake her head.
“What are you thinking about now?” Mo Mo asked as he led Ye Mo to his flying device. He was pleased that Ye Mo didn’t resist when he held her hand the entire time.
“Just thinking about Yu He and Zhang Yuming. They were supposed to be a pair.” But now? One ended up with Qin Lin, an outsider, and the other was happily being used.
She, Mo Mo, and Qin Lin—could they be the variables in this world? It’s unexpected that they’re influencing the original pairings.
Ye Mo sighed. Forget it; she’d better stop overthinking. Zhang Yuming is still searching for her, but what method will he use to find her?
To be fair, the original owner, Zhang Yuming, and Yu He were once classmates. However, due to her low self-esteem, the original owner had such a low presence in class that almost no one paid her any attention.
Except for the occasional chat with Yu He when she was in a good mood, the original owner was virtually ignored by everyone at school.
The original owner might not have realized it, but Ye Mo knew that everything had something to do with Yu He and Zhang Yuming.
Unfortunately, the original owner was too foolish and fell right into their trap.
As Ye Mo sat in the flying device, resting her eyes, Mo Mo suddenly asked, “Did you recognize Prince Caser?”
“He was with Yu He.”
“Ah, I see.”
“Do you know him?”
“We attended the same school,” Mo Mo said, not elaborating further. But Ye Mo understood. If Mo Mo and that guy were in the same school, they must have been acquainted. After all, Mo Mo was so outstanding, and with Prince Caser bearing Qin Lin’s face, he wasn’t bad-looking either.
She couldn’t believe these two had no interaction at all.
Mo Mo added, “We used to be roommates.”
Ye Mo’s lips twitched. That makes their relationship even closer!
“But after graduation, we haven’t seen each other for years. Maybe he’s forgotten all about our time at school,” Mo Mo said casually.
However, Ye Mo was now reassured. If Qin Lin really had his memories, he wouldn’t miss an opportunity to show off in front of Mo Mo.
So, it seems Qin Lin currently has no memories, which finally put Ye Mo at ease.
When Mo Mo arrived near Ye Mo’s house, he noticed a crowd gathered at her door.
“Momo, has your home been exposed?”
Ye Mo looked toward her door, where several elderly women had gathered.
“Let’s not approach yet, just observe the situation!”
At the door, there were seven or eight elderly women, and one of them was knocking on the courtyard gate, shouting, “Qin Xiang! Qin Xiang!”
“Qin Xiang, come out! We’ve found you!”
“Qin Xiang, we know you live here! Come out!”
“They’re calling my grandmother’s name,” Ye Mo observed. She didn’t recognize any of these elderly women, so they couldn’t be old neighbours. After all, the original owner knew all the old neighbours, and she had no recollection of these people.
At that moment, the gate opened, and Grandma Yu walked out. Seeing the group of women in front of her, she couldn’t help but frown, “Why are you here?”
“Qin Xiang, you finally came out. Is this your house? Won’t you invite us in to take a look?”
“This isn’t my house; it belongs to my daughter-in-law. If you have something to discuss, let’s talk outside!” Grandma Yu stepped outside and addressed the group, “Where shall we go?”
“Won’t you let us take a look inside your house?” The elderly women were persistent.
“Sorry, but that’s not possible. This house doesn’t belong to me,” Grandma Yu said firmly, pointing toward a spot ahead. “There’s a tea house over there; let’s go sit there instead.”
“But that place is quite expensive!”
“Don’t worry, I can afford it!”
Grandma Yu quickly led the group of elderly women away. Ye Mo watched the group thoughtfully and murmured, “Grandma wouldn’t have exposed our address on her own, so how did these women find out where we live?”
At this moment, Mo Mo said, “If they regularly play cards together, they might have tracked the interstellar coordinates.”
