Being Followed
When Ye Mo decides to take action, she goes all in. She quickly lists various foods in her online store, and to ensure people know how to prepare them, she even has her chef robot record some cooking videos, which she uploads to the store.
Everyone notices the sudden influx of items in the master’s store, drawing attention once again. Seeing the cooking methods, many people could almost taste the food just from watching the videos.
However, these food items aren’t exactly cheap, and not many people are willing to buy and cook them.
Ye Mo isn’t bothered about advertising too much. She figures that selling everything at once would only mean more restocking, so she’d rather let it sell slowly. Once people realize the benefits of eating these foods, they’ll naturally become repeat customers.
Meanwhile, most people on the interstellar network are eagerly waiting for news from General Mo. Known for his integrity and being an idol to nearly everyone, the public still holds high hopes for the nutritional supplements he promised.
But Mo Mo is destined to disappoint them. He has no intention of setting up a nutritional supplement factory; not only is Ye Mo lacking the energy, but he also can’t stretch himself that thin.
When Mo Mo announced that his current production of nutritional supplements would only suffice for District 8’s military use, the entire interstellar network erupted in despair.
“What now? I’m starving, and I can’t eat the supplements! What am I supposed to eat?”
“What are we supposed to do? Starve to death or keep eating the supplements that are destroying us?”
“Master’s store has a bunch of food items and even recipe videos.”
“I’m starving. I’ve decided to buy some food and cook it.” Some people were truly desperate.
“What about those who can’t afford food and don’t dare to drink the supplements? Are they just supposed to die?”
“Hey, there’s a cheap kind of supplement in our star system, remember?”
“Of course, I remember. Those are what the poor use, only one or two star coins per unit.”
“Right, we tested those cheap supplements, expecting the worst, but we were wrong. They have no side effects. They’re the only safe supplements we have now, and they’re super cheap!”
“Oh my god, I need to stock up on those.”
“No wonder the poor never had issues with genetic breakdown. That’s the reason!” Those of us who paid more really got it wrong…
These cheap supplements were produced by small workshops using the most basic formula. There’s at least one in every district, and despite selling cheaply, these workshops have always operated with integrity. Since this is something people consume, they’ve been cautious, ensuring the supplements are made properly to avoid breaking the law.
Now, it’s their time to shine. Even though these workshops are small, they produce significant amounts of supplements and have accumulated a large stock. With the current demand, orders are flying into their accounts like crazy.
The leader of Star One also issued an announcement allowing these small workshops to expand. He even organized people to establish a nutritional supplement factory.
Following his lead, more and more major families started setting up their own supplement factories, greatly alleviating the crisis in the entire galaxy.
However, even with so many factories in operation, the supplements they produced still couldn’t match the quality of those made by Mo Mo in District 8.
However, the severe shortage of supplements did ease somewhat.
Ye Mo’s store also found a steady pace; people were buying grains and occasionally some fruits, though just regular ones. Even so, these items were in high demand across the star system.
Ye Mo hadn’t faced any issues in a long time, and she started to let her guard down. One day, while Mo Mo was away, she decided to take her aircraft and leave the villa.
As soon as she flew out, within moments, two other aircraft quietly trailed her.
Ye Mo wandered aimlessly, intending to shop for baby supplies. She was pleasantly surprised to find the items were very cheap and sold through an automated system, so she ended up buying out the whole store.
But as she left, she noticed two aircraft suspiciously tailing her.
Ye Mo snorted in annoyance, using her senses to observe. They didn’t seem like military personnel, but who were they?
She continued to wander, speeding up her aircraft, nearly shaking off the two followers.
This infuriated them; they vowed that once they caught her, they’d teach her a lesson.
Ye Mo eventually led them to a desolate area. The move delighted her pursuers; now they didn’t need to waste energy trying to lure her out.
These two were sent by Zhang Yuming. He had once spotted Grandma Yu mingling with a group of old ladies, and by secretly tailing her, he discovered she lived in that villa complex, so he hired people for the job.
Zhang Yuming’s demands were simple: kidnap Ye Moo.
Zhang Yuming was clever, though. He never disclosed Ye Mo’s true identity to his hires. After all, her identity as a pregnant woman was very valuable, and he couldn’t let anyone else catch wind of it.
By now, Ye Mo had exited her aircraft and promptly stored it away—no point risking damage to her aircraft in a fight.
The two men got out of their aircraft as well. Both were nearly 1.9 meters tall, muscular, and imposing.
“Hey, little girl, come with us quietly, and you’ll avoid some pain.”
“I’m not going anywhere with you. I’m not stupid!”
“Listen, girl, it’s in your best interest not to resist. If you come quietly, you’ll save yourself a lot of trouble, but if you resist, you’ll regret it.” One of them said as he cracked his knuckles, moving closer to Ye Mo.
Ye Mo scoffed, “Don’t come any closer, or you’ll regret it.”
“Big talk from such a little girl. I’d love to see what you can do!” The man charged at Ye Mo, but she sidestepped effortlessly and delivered a kick that sent him flying ten meters away.
Caught off guard, the man’s companion was stunned.
“Second Bro, you okay?”
“Third little brother, grab that little bitch. She broke my back.”
The third little brother, even larger and more muscular, began to approach Ye Mo step by step.
Seeing him, Ye Mo couldn’t help but smirk. Being big means nothing if she could still knock him out in seconds.
She really didn’t see these two as any threat at all!
