Did She Feel It?
Ye Mo was preparing the baby supplies, along with other necessities for childbirth. Aunt Yu was also busy with her own preparations. Whenever she had time, she studied the birthing procedures, even though there were medical robots available. Somehow, she still didn’t feel entirely at ease.
Meanwhile, Grandma Yu had already begun instructing the butler to prepare a room. She planned to have Yu He stay at the villa for a couple of days. After all, it was such a beautiful villa, and she thought Yu He should get a chance to enjoy it.
At this point, Grandma Yu had completely forgotten that the villa belonged to the Ye family and had nothing to do with her.
Yu He, on the other hand, was thrilled. She figured that as long as she kept Grandma Yu on her side, it wouldn’t be long before she could get her hands on Ye Mo. After all, she didn’t believe that Ye Mo would just abandon Grandma Yu.
Yu He’s ambitions were obvious, practically written on her face, but Grandma Yu seemed blind and oblivious as if she couldn’t see anything wrong.
Grandma Yu gave instructions to the butler, who followed through as ordered. However, the butler quietly altered the villa’s security system. The old head butler had been clear: no strangers were allowed in. So, the new butler decided that the security system must remain out of the elderly lady’s control. After all, she was just a tenant here, not the owner. It wouldn’t be wise to let her handle such sensitive matters.
Unaware of this, Grandma Yu continued to boss around the nanny robot, feeling quite triumphant.
Yu He was impatient as she set off to meet Grandma Yu. She discreetly brought only one of her nanny robot and slipped away from Prince Caser’s residence. On the way, she contacted Zhang Yuming and informed him of her destination, even revealing that Grandma Yu was currently staying there.
Today, Yu He had made up her mind—she would force Ye Mo to show herself.
When Yu He arrived at the villa gates, Zhang Yuming had also just arrived with his people. At this moment, Grandma Yu was sitting in the living room when the butler approached her and turned on the surveillance monitor.
Voices from outside reached them. Yu He was talking to Zhang Yuming, “Brother Ming, you only brought two people?”
“Didn’t you say it was just your grandma inside? She’ll be easy to capture,” Zhang Yuming replied, confident, knowing Grandma Yu wasn’t in the best of health.
“That’s true. Do you have a place ready?” Yu He asked.
“Don’t worry, I’ve got a place all set!” Zhang Yuming’s excitement showed as he looked at Yu He. “Little sister He, when will you leave this place with me?”
“Brother Ming, you know I can’t just run away—my parents are still under Prince Caser’s watch,” Yu He said, hesitating.
“But I miss you, little sister He. It hurts how much I miss you!” Zhang Yuming said, sounding pitiful.
Yu He wanted to comfort him but wasn’t sure how. Instead, she threw herself into his arms. “I’m sorry, Brother Ming!”
“Little sister He, it’s not your fault, it’s Ye Mo’s. If it weren’t for her, you wouldn’t have been captured,” Zhang Yuming said as he held Yu He tightly.
Grandma Yu watched the scene on the monitor without any reaction. The robotic butler spoke up, “They’re planning to capture you.”
Grandma Yu chuckled lightly, “So what?”
“You’re happy to be captured by them?” the butler asked, clearly displeased. After all, he and the old head butler had lived here for decades and felt a deep connection to the place. If it weren’t for this elderly woman, the garden would still be blooming, and their young mistress wouldn’t have left the villa.
All this had been caused by the elderly lady in front of him, and now she even wanted to invite trouble into the house.
“Open the door and let them in,” Grandma Yu instructed the butler calmly.
The butler smiled and replied, “The young mistress has made it clear: no strangers are allowed inside the villa.”
“They’re not strangers. One is my granddaughter, and the other is my neighbour,” Grandma Yu retorted coldly, glaring at the butler.
The butler simply turned off the monitor. He had already shown her the ambitions of those two people outside, but she didn’t seem to care. What else could he do?
“To me, everyone except you is a stranger. If you wish to continue living here, you may stay. If not, you should leave,” the butler said, turning to walk away. Just because they were robots didn’t mean they had no feelings. They had lived here for a long time and cared deeply about the place.
Grandma Yu hadn’t expected the butler to threaten to kick her out. She was stunned. After all, she really didn’t know where she would go if she had to leave. She did have over a million star coins, but that wouldn’t be enough to buy a villa in this area.
She had already left the civilian area and had no desire to return. But since her goal aligned with Yu He’s and Zhang Yuming’s, she began considering whether or not she should let herself be used by them.
Grandma Yu walked to the villa’s entrance. She was well aware of the security system—if she opened the door, Yu He and Zhang Yuming could be let inside.
To be honest, Grandma Yu was quite excited. The more Ye Mo forbade her from doing something, the more she wanted to do it. Especially when it came to bringing Yu He and Zhang Yuming into the villa.
As Zhang Yuming stood outside, he greedily eyed the villa. “Sister He, whose villa is this?” (it was originally written as 荷妹妹 which means little sister He but since it is longer than Sister He, I just left it as Sister He)
“It belongs to Ye Mo, but once we catch her, it’ll be ours,” Yu He said, clenching her fists. With a villa like this, she’d have a backup plan. Even if Prince Caser discarded her, she wouldn’t end up back in the civilian area.
Lately, Yu He had seen firsthand how cold and heartless Prince Caser could be, and she was terrified of being cast aside by him. This villa was her insurance.
Standing at the door, Grandma Yu overheard their conversation. Her goal was to capture Yemo, but when she heard Yu He’s intentions to claim the villa, she froze.
She didn’t want to give up the villa she was living in. But the property title was in Ye Mo’s name, and if they caught Ye Mo, Grandma Yu realized she might not be able to stay here after all.
Reflecting on Yu He and Yuan Lili’s selfishness, Grandma Yu suddenly felt less inclined to open the door. She had no idea that even if she did, the security system would only allow her to leave; it wouldn’t let anyone else in.
Ye Mo had upgraded the villa’s security. Aside from Ye Mo herself, only the old and new butlers could control it.
At that moment, Ye Mo, watching the scene unfold through the butler’s surveillance, sighed. She couldn’t understand how Grandma Yu had changed so drastically.
Could it be that she sensed the real Yu Mo was already dead?
