Departure
Aunt Yu had made up her mind. She was going to stay in the valley and focus on farming—a job that suited her perfectly. Most importantly, it was something she truly enjoyed! Living in the valley also meant avoiding unnecessary social interactions, and the new butler there was a great match for her. Aunt Yu felt at peace staying in the valley.
Besides, if she started working outside, her mother would undoubtedly come knocking, and that’s not something she wanted. She wasn’t ready to deal with her mother again. Plus, Momo didn’t owe her anything anymore.
With that thought, Aunt Yu tried to return the 1 billion star coins to Ye Mo, but Ye Mo refused, leaving a message instead: “Aunt, this is for you. I don’t need the money!”
Aunt Yu sighed, knowing that if she insisted, Momo would still refuse. Given that Momo was likely a transcendent plant master, she probably wouldn’t short of the ten billion.
“Aunt, just take it easy. Momo already said she would take care of you in your old age,” Ye Mo added playfully. “Just think of it as pocket money, so there’s no need to feel bad!”
Aunt Yu couldn’t help but reply, “You still have six kids to raise, and I hear that prices are sky-high on the Prime Star. Buying a house there alone would cost a fortune!”
“Aunt, I really don’t lack star coins,” Ye Mo chuckled. “Don’t forget, I’m a master.”
“Even as a master, you still have six kids to raise, don’t you?” Aunt Yu suddenly remembered something. “I’ll ask Mo Mo if they need a water element user in their ranks. I’ll go with them if needed.” She was eager to be of use.
After all, the military often operated in places where drinkable water was scarce, so water element users were always in demand.
“Yes, that’s something you can ask about!” Ye Mo’s eyes lit up at the thought. Her aunt’s abilities could be highly valuable to the military, especially as her powers grew stronger.
Ye Mo prepared a large bottle of vitality water and sent it to her aunt. “Aunt, drink a sip of this every day. It’ll help improve your abilities.”
“Alright, I’ll keep it,” Aunt Yu replied, her motivation higher than ever.
Before leaving the valley, Aunt Yu planned to earn some extra money, just in case Momo needed them.
Early the next morning, Ye Mo placed her children into the spatial space, disguised herself, and set off. The nanny robots were also stored in the spatial space, still under the management of the old butler.
When Mo Mo came to see her off, he noticed she was alone and knew right away that the children had been placed into the spatial space. This time, Mo Mo had opened a routC for a direct flight to the Main Star. Along with Ye Mo, there were bodyguards, soldiers, and even the fake wife posing as Ye Mo. Prince Caser would also be accompanying them.
There were over a thousand people aboard the ship, many of them nobles from Kamo Star. Some were leaving for good, while others were going to conduct business. The closure of the Eighth District had caused significant delays for them, but now that they were leaving, many didn’t plan on returning if the district remained closed.
Ye Mo blended in with the crowd of nobles as they boarded the ship. She had a private room in the rear, which was a luxury reserved for prominent figures on board, such as the fake general’s wife, Prince Caser, the ten guards, and Prince Caser’s entourage.
In that crowd, Ye Mo stood out as an anomaly, but she had no intention of leaving her room for the duration of the trip. With thousands of people on board, there was no telling what could happen, and she wasn’t interested in any scheming. Besides, aboard the ship were Yu He, her mother Yuan Lili, and even the comatose Yu Fengqi.
From her room, Ye Mo noticed that the ten guards were stationed around her, and the fake wife’s room was right next to hers.
When Ye Mo looked closely at the fake wife, she realized something surprising—the fake wasn’t a female soldier pretending to be her, but a robot with an identical face. The sight of this made Ye Mo feel relieved.
Two soldiers stood guard outside the fake wife’s door, and Ye Mo noticed that Prince Caser had just boarded, with Yu He, Yuan Lili, and even Zhang Yuming, who had been previously arrested, trailing behind him.
Ye Mo narrowed her eyes. She hadn’t expected Yu He to go to such lengths for Zhang Yuming.
Seeing those two aboard the ship made Ye Mo uneasy. After all, they were the protagonists in the story, and wherever they went, trouble followed. No matter what chaos erupted, those two would always emerge unscathed, while others around them bore the consequences.
Ye Mo doubted this journey would be smooth. She felt a bit anxious.
Still, she didn’t plan on telling Mo Mo, knowing that he, too, was setting off today.
Just then, Aunt Yu sent a message, telling Ye Mo that she would be traveling with Mo Mo to the Beastmen territories, as water element users were in high demand.
Reading this, Ye Mo smiled. Her aunt had found her calling.
Aunt Yu hadn’t mentioned that when she decided to go to the Beastmen territories, she had contacted her mother, urging her to take care of herself. However, her mother responded with insults. Even after Aunt Yu had given her ten million credits, her mother showed no gratitude and instead complained that it wasn’t enough. Aunt Yu had finally told her mother that she was leaving Kamo Star, and that Ye Mo had already left, before hanging up the phone.
This call left Grandma Yu trembling. She had been abandoned—first by Ye Mo, and now by Aunt Yu. Even Yu He and her family were leaving for the Main Star.
Realizing the consequences of her actions, Grandma Yu felt utterly defeated. She could have left with Ye Mo, but she had never imagined that her choices would lead to her being cast aside by everyone.
Meanwhile, Ye Mo had returned to her spatial space, playing with her six children while the old butler kept a watchful eye. The space was now meticulously organized under his guidance.
The old butler glanced toward the vitality water pool, clearly intrigued. If he weren’t confined to a robot body, he would’ve taken a sip himself.
Suddenly, the old butler’s eyes widened in shock. He rushed to the vitality pool, where a shadowy figure was emerging. To his astonishment, the figure looked almost identical to Ye Mo.
“Master, look! Hurry, look!” the old butler’s voice trembled a little.
