Wu Hao controlled the speed of the spacecraft with his telekinesis, flying at an incredible pace. Once Wu Hao’s telekinesis reached a force of one hundred tons, he was able to fly at speeds several times the speed of sound.
Thus, the journey from South Africa to the Qinling Base, a distance of thousands of kilometers, took only about 50 minutes to reach the underground base several hundred meters deep in the Qinling Mountains.
“Welcome, rookies of the Black Hawk Legion, to our training base. Here, you will undergo a two-month training period. If you can endure these two months, you will gain power several times greater than you have now. Additionally, you will witness various high-tech equipment and weapons you’ve never seen before. After disembarking, you have ten minutes to explore on your own. After ten minutes, you will start to familiarize yourselves with the base and begin your two-month training.”
As the spacecraft entered and landed at the base, the voice of the AI system echoed inside the cabin. The 22 people inside the spacecraft, due to the fully enclosed cabin, were unaware of their current location. However, some speculated their approximate position based on the flight duration.
To them, since the spacecraft had flown for less than an hour, they assumed they were either in a remote desert on the African continent or on an uninhabited island in the vast ocean.
After all, considering the time from South Africa to their current location, no one expected they were already deep underground in the Qinling Mountains on the Asian continent.
As the cabin door opened, the 22 people began to disembark and look around. Their scanning gazes quickly revealed that they were in a vast underground space, filled with equipment they had never seen before.
The scene was like being in a military base straight out of a sci-fi movie. Moreover, in this space, which was larger than a football field, they saw no people, only robots working around.
These robots varied in shape. Some were just mechanical arms with driving mechanisms, while others were spherical with two retractable arms on either side and floated in the air without any visible driving apparatus.
Naturally, these sights left the people astonished.
“Oh my God, what am I seeing? Is that a hovering robot? Something like this, only seen in movies, has actually been made?”
Clearly, the person who asked this wasn’t the only one; almost everyone shared the same question. Once all 22 had left the spacecraft, Wu Hao, controlling the spacecraft, guided it out through a 20-meter wide, 10-meter high passage.
The 22 new recruits, who had just arrived at the training base, saw how the spacecraft took off. To them, the spacecraft, over ten meters long, should have made a significant noise during takeoff.
From takeoff to leaving the passage and the closing of the metal door, not a single fluctuation or engine sound was heard. Everything was as silent as a ghost; a spacecraft over ten meters long had silently departed right before their eyes.
“What kind of aircraft is this? Can it hover and fly like these robots? God, am I dreaming?”
Not everyone among the 22 was calm and reserved. Several large Black men and White men couldn’t help but shout and exclaim at the sight before them.
Despite being seasoned soldiers who had seen various battlefields and advanced weaponry, they had only ever seen such technology in sci-fi movies. They knew that currently, the military with the most high-tech equipment was the US military.
However, among them were some who had retired from US military units, and none had heard of such advanced aircraft. After all, the real America had no S.H.I.E.L.D. or Iron Man.
As a professional assassin, Ying Long had always been composed. Seeing such advanced technology, he no longer doubted the AI’s claim that joining would lead to the destruction of the Wolf Gang.
An organization with such advanced technology and hidden capabilities had the credibility to make such statements. Although the Wolf Gang had many members and operated in the shadows, making it hard to completely eradicate them, it wasn’t a matter of their strength but of their global spread and assassination skills. Finding them without reliable intelligence was not easy.
Having seen the AI’s intelligence capabilities, Ying Long knew that the AI knew even things about the Wolf Gang that he didn’t. Such powerful intelligence, combined with advanced technology, made it clear that if this couldn’t destroy an assassin organization, then all the black technology Wu Hao had developed would be for nothing.
Li Qing, formerly of the **** Special Forces, was left speechless by the scene before him, aside from his astonishment.
Meanwhile, Wu Hao, having parked the spacecraft in a massive hangar at the base’s entrance, instructed the AI, “Zero, you’re in charge of training and organizing these people. For now, I won’t be directly involved. If these guys act out in the base, don’t hold back—give them a harsh lesson.”
“BOSS, rest assured! To manage these people, I’ve developed a special type of robot. Anyone who tries to make a move will be under my watchful eye, and these little devices will ensure they experience what true pain feels like.” The AI, Zero, was prepared to manage the recruits, having developed robots specifically for monitoring, punishing, and handling routine tasks.
These robots were the spherical ones seen earlier, with a diameter of only 50 centimeters. They were modified from the probe drones Wu Hao had sent out earlier, retaining the same shape and power but with completely different uses.
