The Billionaire’s Blind Bride Chapter 131

Chapter 131 : Qianqian’s Husband

“Come over and have dinner first.”

Mu Qianqian piled the gifts together and sat at the table with Mr. to have the New Year’s Eve dinner.

At the dinner table, the whole family was cheerful and harmonious, with no scheming or intrigue at all.

After finishing the New Year’s Eve dinner, everyone gathered in the courtyard.

“Time to set off the fireworks, time to set off the fireworks!”

The little nephew and niece were running back and forth with sparklers near the fountain.

Fu Qianxing set off a few fireworks, and with a series of bangs, brilliant lights burst into the sky.

Mu Qianqian was startled by the sound of the fireworks.

Fu Sichan, having appeared behind her at some point, covered her ears with his hands.

Snow began to fall from the sky, landing on Mu Qianqian’s eyelashes, filling her eyes with bright lights.

“Can you see the fireworks?” Fu Sichan asked.

Mu Qianqian squinted, “I can see part of them, a bit blurry, but very bright.”

The fireworks looked beautiful against the pitch-black night sky.

“It’s getting late. You two should stay at the old house tonight.”

With Grandma Fu’s decree, Mu Qianqian and Fu Sichan had no choice but to comply.

As a married couple, they naturally had to sleep in the same room at night.

“Still not done?”

Fu Sichan knocked on the bathroom glass.

Mu Qianqian had been inside for almost half an hour, why was she still not out?

“I’ll be out soon.”

A shy voice came from inside.

Mu Qianqian wrapped herself in a bathrobe and sluggishly emerged from the bathroom.

She approached Fu Sichan, one hand clutching her collar, afraid of revealing her smooth, delicate skin.

“Why did it take so long?”

“Did it?”

Mu Qianqian blinked her watery, large eyes, her cheeks flushing a rosy color.

“Dry your hair and then go to bed, it’s getting late.”

“Okay.”

Not used to the old house’s hairdryer, Mu Qianqian was helped by Fu Sichan, who took the hairdryer and dried her hair for her.

The hairdryer was very quiet, almost silent.

Mu Qianqian could even hear the pounding of her own heart and the warm breath of Mr. behind her.

She couldn’t help but hold her breath.

The main reason she had been dawdling for so long was that she was afraid of sharing a bed with Mr.

Mu Qianqian had not yet recovered her vision and didn’t want to have intimate contact with Mr. at this time.

She would find it very regretful if that happened.

“All done drying.”

Fu Sichan turned off the hairdryer, took her hand, and led her to the big bed.

Mu Qianqian’s steps faltered nervously, trying to pull her hand back.

“Mr, I’d like to go to bed a little later.”

“It’s already past midnight. How much longer do you want to stay up?”

Fu Sichan was always strict with her, not allowing her to stay up late.

Mu Qianqian couldn’t come up with a reason, so Fu Sichan simply lifted her over his shoulder and tossed her onto the bed.

“Go to sleep.”

He covered her with the blanket.

Soon, Fu Sichan also got into bed.

Mu Qianqian huddled to the edge of the bed, curling up to minimize her presence.

“Are you so afraid of me?”

“I’m not,” Mu Qianqian protested, her voice soft and delicate.

“Why are you so far away?”

“I-I’m a bit hot.”

The Mr.’s body was so warm, like a big furnace.

“Come here.”

Fu Sichan reached out with his long arm and pulled the small figure, who was nearly falling off the bed, back into his embrace.

His strong arm came down, holding her tightly so she couldn’t move an inch.

Mu Qianqian’s face turned as red as a monkey’s bottom, and she whispered, “Let me go.”

“If I hadn’t saved you just now, you’d already be on the floor. So tell me, how will you repay me?”

Mu Qianqian noticed his suggestive tone and felt a jolt in her heart.

Mr. wasn’t going to ask for her help again, was he?

She really didn’t want her hands to be sore again.

While Mu Qianqian was lost in these thoughts, Fu Sichan tightened his hold on her arms and said in a deep voice,

“Close your eyes and go to sleep.”

That night, Fu Sichan did nothing.

Mu Qianqian was initially anxious, but later she realized that Mr seemed to have decided to let her off, so she gradually relaxed.

They stayed at the old house for breakfast.

“I have work at the company. Assistant Wang will take you back.”

“Okay.”

Mu Qianqian obediently got into the car.

The empty seats and the trunk were filled with her New Year’s gifts, all given to her by her in-laws.

Mu Qianqian used to worry about whether her future in-laws would be harsh.

She didn’t expect her worries to be completely unnecessary.

Her in-laws were not only kind but treated her like a beloved daughter.

Thinking of this, Mu Qianqian felt warmth in her heart.

“Assistant Wang, are you working during the New Year as well?”

Stuck in traffic on the way, Mu Qianqian made small talk with Assistant Wang.

“Yes, Madam.”

“Mr. why didn’t you go home for the New Year?”

“It’s alright. I’m rotating shifts with the other assistants. Working during the New Year comes with five times the pay, so I’m happy to serve the gentleman.”

Fu Group was generous, and Assistant Wang had no complaints.

All the issues were related to money.

As long as the pay was right, there were no problems at all.

Her phone rang.

Mu Qianqian received a call from Lu Yunbei.

“Yaoyao, I’m coming over to see you and deliver your New Year’s gift.”

“I’m on my way back now. Please wait for me a moment.”

When the car arrived at Mingyuan, Assistant Wang helped bring all the gifts upstairs.

Mu Qianqian got out of the car and went to the entrance of the community to meet Lu Yunbei.

“Yaoyao, Happy New Year!”

Mu Qianqian’s eyes curved into a smile, “Thank you, brother.”

“These are the New Year’s gifts from Mom, Dad, and me.”

Lu Yunbei opened the trunk, which was filled with gift boxes.

Mu Qianqian reached out to touch them, “Which one is my gift?”

“All of these.”

Mu Qianqian was immediately stunned, “So many?”

She had just received a carload of gifts from the Fu family, and now the Lu family had sent another carload.

If their home were any smaller, they wouldn’t have enough space for all these gifts.

“Brother, this is too much. You didn’t need to send so many.”

Lu Yunbei smiled, “We’re family, no need to be so polite. If you can’t carry them all, I’ll help you take them up.”

In fact, he had another reason for coming.

It was a good opportunity to see Yaoyao’s current home and perhaps even meet her husband. He needed to check out what kind of person Yaoyao had married.

“Alright.”

Mu Qianqian gave him the door number.

As Lu Yunbei went up to carry the gifts, he reached the door of the room his sister mentioned and saw a middle-aged man coming out of the room.

That person was Assistant Wang.

Lu Yunbei was instantly stunned.

Could this be Yaoyao’s husband? He seemed so old, almost in his forties.

Lu Yunbei checked the door number several times to make sure he wasn’t mistaken.

The address Yaoyao gave was right here.

She lived in this room.

Recalling that day at home when Yaoyao mentioned her husband was older and seemed like an ordinary office worker, Lu Yunbei realized that the person in front of him must indeed be her husband.

Oh my God!

Their precious girl was married to such a person!

Lu Yunbei felt a darkness overtake him, thinking that the whole world had suddenly become bleak.
