Dream on!
When Ye Mo heard about Aunt Yu’s accomplishments, she was genuinely happy for her. Initially, Ye Mo had been worried that Aunt Yu might not adjust well to life in the military. However, it turned out that Aunt Yu had quickly found her place and even made significant contributions.
With this, even if Mo Mo didn’t want to use her talents, he would have no choice but to rely on her now.
Among Mo Mo’s trusted aides who had awakened abilities, there were also a few with water-based powers. Momo immediately assigned them to Aunt Yu, allowing her to lead them in purifying the Vitality Water. After all, this purification process was a form of training as well.
Everyone was eager to learn from Aunt Yu, as they were unfamiliar with their abilities and had been figuring things out on their own. Since the methods for training abilities weren’t fully developed across the interstellar realm, this guidance was valuable.
Even Mo Mo wasn’t fully aware of how these abilities worked, as his own training methods were quite different.
On Ye Mo’s side, Lan Feng and the others were in luck. Although Ye Mo didn’t possess any abilities herself, she had acquired many things from both the cultivation world and the mortal realm. Through her research, she had drawn several conclusions about how to train abilities and shared these methods with everyone.
And, lo and behold, their training actually succeeded. As soon as they mastered it, Ye Mo passed the training methods to Mo Mo and Aunt Yu.
Since Mo Mo didn’t possess any abilities himself, he ultimately left the task of teaching the others to Aunt Yu. Having already received guidance from Ye Mo earlier, Aunt Yu now thrived in this new role.
Meanwhile, Ye Mo’s recent sale of the last puppet child for 1 billion had nearly caused Prince Caser to faint. The last child bore some resemblance to Ye Mo and even shared some features with Yu He. Prince Caser had originally planned to obtain the child and pass it off as his and Yu He’s own.
After all, as long as he didn’t say otherwise and kept Yu He hidden for a while, no one would be able to tell where she came from. Even if he claimed the child was his, no one would question it.
Ye Mo casually informed Mo Mo that she had sold five puppet children so far and might sell more in the future.
Mo Mo then posed a critical question: “These puppet children don’t have the ability to reproduce. If you sell too many, how do you plan to cover this up?”
Ye Mo stuck out her tongue—she hadn’t thought about that at all!
To be honest, Ye Mo didn’t really need the money, but knowing there were always people lurking around trying to steal her children made her want to scam them. If it weren’t for these people constantly pursuing her, she wouldn’t have had to hide in the first place.
Unbeknownst to Ye Mo, Yu Fengqi had already woken up and contacted his mother. He had also learned that his sister, Yu Minjia, had distanced herself from their mother because of Ye Mo.
When Yu Fengqi found out that their mother had taken nearly 20 million from Minjia over time, he was stunned. “Mom, how does Minjia have so much money? Didn’t she get divorced?”
“It’s all thanks to Ye Mo. She got her a job as a fruit farmer, and apparently, she’s been earning quite a bit. I even heard from someone at the bank that someone transferred over a hundred million star coins to her account! A hundred million! Can you believe she only gave me a measly ten million? Just ten million!” Their mother’s voice brimmed with indignation.
“Son, when will you come visit me?” she asked, knowing Yu Fengqi was en route to the First Star.
What could Yu Fengqi say? He wasn’t even sure if they’d have a place to stay once they arrived. He had misgivings about living with Prince Caser, having heard rumours about the prince’s many women. He feared someone might cause harm to his family.
Regardless, they needed a place to stay, and a place to stay meant money. Now that he knew Aunt Yu had over three hundred million star coins, Yu Fengqi didn’t waste time on small talk. “Mom, once we’re settled on the First Star, we’ll come back to get you.”
“Great! Great!” His mother was ecstatic. A vague promise from Yu Fengqi meant more to her than the actual money Ye Mo and Aunt Yu had given her.
That was the real attitude of Grandma Yu toward Yu Fengqi and Aunt Yu’s true attitude towards Ye Mo.
After hanging up, Yu Fengqi suddenly recalled hearing about Ye Mo’s death. Surprisingly, no one aboard the ship had spread the news of the fake Ye Mo being dragged into space by Zhang Yuming.
Why?
Because no one dared to incur Mo Mo’s wrath! Not even Prince Caser. The fact that Zhang Yuming, whom Mo Mo had imprisoned, had ended up on Ye Mo’s ship thanks to Prince Caser could have easily led Mo Mo to accuse the prince of murder.
Thus, the entire ship remained tight-lipped, careful not to spread any rumours.
At that moment, Yu Fengqi dialled Aunt Yu. Although Aunt Yu had been extremely busy, she picked up the call after Ye Mo mentioned that he had woken up.
“Minjia!”
“Brother, what’s up?”
“I heard from Mom that you have hundreds of millions of star coins now,” Yu Fengqi said, betraying their mother.
“Brother, that money belongs to General Mo. I’ve already returned it to him,” Aunt Yu responded, well aware that her brother’s call was unlikely to bring good news.
He must be dreaming if he thought he could get his hands on her money! Aunt Yu now had more than 400 million star coins saved up for her six grandchildren, and she wasn’t about to let anyone else touch it—especially not Yu Fengqi.
“That money belongs to General Mo?” Yu Fengqi frowned.
“Yes. It was originally General Mo’s bride price for Ye Mo. But since Mom ruined things with Ye Mo, we didn’t need it anymore, so I returned the money to him.”
Aunt Yu was deliberately provoking him. After all, they had never been good to Ye Mo, so why should they get her money? Dream on!
Aunt Yu chuckled to herself, realizing that lately, she had become a bit more outspoken. The phrase “dream on” was something she’d picked up from an interstellar soldier named Jiuyue, a rather adorable young man.
Aunt Yu was just about to hang up when Yu Fengqi shouted, “Minjia! Don’t you know Yu Mo is dead?”
“What kind of joke is that? Our Momo is called Ye Mo, and she’s alive and well!” Aunt Yu snapped and immediately hung up, blocking his number afterward.
She really had no time for him anymore!
After the call, Aunt Yu immediately rang Ye Mo to tell her about the absurd conversation and curse Yu Fengqi for daring to jinx his own daughter.
