Arrival
Qin Lin couldn’t resist any longer, so he gave up fighting back and lay down on the deck, deciding to just go with the flow. What he didn’t expect was that this time, although the heavens sent down the tribulation lightning, which seemed quite powerful, only a small fraction of it actually hit him.
Qin Lin didn’t realize that most of the lightning’s power was being absorbed into the space, with a large portion going to Mo Mo and the remaining split between Ye Mo and Guaiguai.
Ye Mo was a bit shocked; after all, what did this have to do with her? It wasn’t even her tribulation. But there it was, striking her all the same. She had no choice but to endure it since it was coming her way.
Guaiguai, on the other hand, had Ye Mo worried—wasn’t the lightning a bit too strong? Could it harm him? However, she quickly noticed that Guaiguai, having a lightning spiritual root, was actually absorbing the lightning’s energy completely. This discovery put her at ease.
Great, this is turning out well!
After enduring nine bolts of tribulation lightning, Mo Mo successfully reached the Nascent Soul stage, even causing some phenomena outside. Though everything was pitch black, making it hard for anyone to discern what was happening. If Qin Lin had his eyes open, he might have seen a pitch-black dragon thrashing about in the sky. Unfortunately, Qin Lin was unconscious, struck by the lightning once more, leaving him charred.
Inside the space, after successfully reaching the Nascent Soul stage, Mo Mo began to stabilize his cultivation. Meanwhile, Ye Mo’s strength surged, moving her into the middle stage of the Golden Core, also reaching the level of a mid-level Ghost General. Wasn’t she progressing a bit too fast?
When Ye Mo stabilized her cultivation, she noticed that Guaiguai had already reached the eleventh level of the Foundation Establishment. Just one more level, and he would be ready to form his core.
How is this happening so quickly?
How could Guaiguai progress so fast? Ye Mo felt like she couldn’t keep up.
When Mo Mo finally woke up, he noticed that his little wife looked a bit down. After asking her what was wrong, he quickly realized the problem: the six little ones’ cultivation, especially Guaiguai’s, who was on the brink of forming his core.
Mo Mo immediately pulled them aside for some rigorous training, determined to suppress their cultivation. They wouldn’t be allowed to progress until his wife had reached the Nascent Soul stage; otherwise, she’d be devastated!
Mo Mo began strictly overseeing the six little ones’ cultivation, even introducing them to dual cultivation of Yin and Yang.
This shift finally revitalized Ye Mo’s spirit—she needed to train hard and advance to the Nascent Soul stage quickly so she could keep up with the six little troublemakers.
Outside, Qin Lin was being treated once more. People were puzzled by Prince Caser’s streak of bad luck—how could he be struck by lightning just as they were about to reach District 1?
Qin Lin was placed in a recovery pod, where healing was faster. Meanwhile, the spacecraft had officially entered the District 1 area. It wasn’t heading directly to Star One, but instead, to Sky Blue Star, a satellite closest to Planet One.
With ample time, both Ye Mo and Mo Mo exited the space, and Mo Mo reunited with Lan Feng and the others. Although they were surprised at their general’s sudden appearance, it made sense to them since his wife and children were on board. Who knew what might happen after disembarking? Having their general around gave them a sense of security.
Luckily, news that the children had been sold had spread throughout the star systems, and everyone’s attention should have shifted from them to whoever bought the children.
Especially Yu He, who had received one of the children for free, would likely attract more scrutiny.
Ye Mo and Mo Mo had both disguised themselves. Since the fake wife was already dead, Ye Mo naturally didn’t want to show up again. As for Mo Mo, he wasn’t supposed to be here in the first place, so he couldn’t make a public appearance either.
The spacecraft docked on Sky Blue Star, and the passengers began to disembark.
After such a long journey on the spacecraft, people were slightly unsteady on their feet as they stepped onto solid ground.
A large crowd had gathered outside the docking station—some to welcome the passengers, others just curious onlookers, and many more drawn by the news about the children.
The sextuplets had been on the spacecraft, with each one reportedly sold off, a story that had spread across the entire star system. Even though Prince Caser had suppressed news about Zhang Yuming dragging the fake Ye Mo into space, it had still leaked out.
Many were eager to see if Mo Mo’s wife was truly gone.
Lan Feng and his group drew a lot of attention, but seeing no women or children among them, people couldn’t help but feel sorry for Mo Mo.
“Did that Ye Mo really sell all six of the kids?”
“I heard she sold five and gave one away.”
“Yeah, I heard that too. She gave one to her sister, someone named Yu He.”
“Who’s Yu He? I want to see who was shameless enough to seduce Prince Caser.”
“I also heard that people from the Mo family have come, claiming the sextuplets as their own.”
“Yeah, I heard that too. The Mo family is shameless; General Mo hasn’t even acknowledged them.”
“Exactly! So true!”
Listening to the conversations around them, Ye Mo glanced over at Mo Mo, who seemed entirely unfazed.
Mo Mo noticed her puzzled look and couldn’t resist pinching her cheek. “Let them look for the kids all they want. What’s that got to do with us?”
Ye Mo blinked. “If the Mo family wants to trade for the children, they’ll need star coins. Do they even have that kind of money?”
Mo Mo smirked. “Even if they have it, they’d never spend it. Just watch—Lan Feng and the others are going to have a tough time.”
Ye Mo tilted her head. What did this have to do with Lan Feng and his group?
Mo Mo pulled Ye Mo along as they continued forward. Soon, they noticed Lan Feng and his group being blocked by a large number of Mo family members.
“What exactly do you want?” Lan Feng asked, exasperated at the sight of the Mo family.
“You know perfectly well what we want. Hand over the star coins from selling Ye Mo’s children, and we’ll leave.”
“All the star coins were with the lady. When Zhang Yuming dragged her into space, she didn’t leave anything behind,” Lan Feng said helplessly, though he was secretly wondering if the lady would sell more puppet dolls next.
Lan Feng suddenly felt they should sell more puppet dolls just in case they kept getting hounded. Though they weren’t afraid, these people were still their general’s kin, making it hard for them to strike back.
The Mo family hadn’t expected this outcome. However, since Ye Mo was the one who sold the children, it made sense that the star coins would be with her. Realizing this, they figured they should be looking for Mo Mo instead. But with Mo Mo headed toward the Beast Clan’s star domain, catching him would be impossible.
