Self-destruction, Part 2
“By the way, who said the General’s wife was dragged into space?”
“Yeah, a lot of people testified to that. Now that the General’s wife has appeared, how do you explain what happened earlier?”
“Where are the witnesses from before? Come out and explain yourselves.”
“Exactly, come explain!”
“Waiting for an explanation!”
“Explanation, please +1…”
“Explanation +1000…”
“Explanation + infinity!”
“I remember that Prince Caser was on that ship from District 8 at the time, right?”
“That’s right! Prince Caser was there too. He should explain what happened.”
“Yeah! We need Prince Caser to explain this!”
Soon, a crowd gathered under Prince Caser’s blog, demanding answers.
Ye Mo let out a long sigh. At this moment, she was alone in the room. Looking down at the marks on her body, she couldn’t help but blush. The kiss marks all over her were enough proof of how wild she and Mo Mo had been the night before.
Just then, the door swung open, and Mo Mo walked in.
Ye Mo quickly wrapped herself up with the bedsheet, but Mo Xing didn’t hesitate. He dove in, hugging her with the sheet still around her, and whispered softly into her ear, “What’s this? Are you still feeling shy?”
“The internet is asking where General Mo’s cool demeanour went,” Ye Mo muttered while nestling in his arms. Cool demeanour? That’s a joke, right?
When had she ever seen it?
“If a man is aloof around his wife, that’s called sexual frigidity!” Mo Mo said confidently. Only a fool would remain aloof in front of his own wife!
If Mo Mo had a tail, it would probably be wagging right now. This was the behaviour of a devoted and doting husband.
Ye Mo pushed his face away with her hand, feeling like he had unlocked a “shameless” Pandora’s box.
“Baby, you dislike me!” Mo Mo asked, his tone laced with mock hurt.
“No, I’m not!” If there wasn’t a hint of disdain in Ye Mo’s tone, Mo Mo would have actually believed it.
“Are you saying I’m just a ‘use and discard’ kind of guy?” Mo Mo teased her, feigning a threatening tone.
“I never said that!” Ye Mo protested, half laughing.
“Good! Now, time to get up,” Mo Mo said with a grin.
“Move aside!” Ye Mo tried to push him off. If he hadn’t been holding onto her, she would’ve gotten dressed long ago!
Mo Mo caught her wandering hand and grinned, “Let’s get dressed, sweetheart. Then we’ll do a live-streamed meet-and-greet for the netizens. What do you think?”
Ye Mo shot him a look. “If you hadn’t come over here, the live stream would’ve started already!” She waved her hand, casting a cleansing and recovery spell over herself, making the marks on her body disappear instantly. She summoned her clothes over with a flick.
Mo Mo grabbed her outfit, “Let me help you put it on!”
“I can dress myself!” Ye Mo wasn’t about to let him help. “Go check on the kids. Aren’t you worried about leaving them with someone else?”
“Don’t worry. No one on this ship is more capable than those six,” he reassured her. In fact, the kids were having a blast. Right now, their eldest, Guaiguai, had already made his way to the cockpit and could pretty much fly the ship on his own if necessary.
As for the other five, they had gone off with Aunt Yu to the training room, helping out with the soldiers’ power training.
Truth be told, the children’s understanding of powers far surpassed Aunt Yu’s.
Ye Mo pushed Mo Mo aside and quickly got dressed. He never stopped watching her, his gaze unwavering, which made her a little uncomfortable.
“What are you staring at? It’s not like you haven’t seen it before,” she muttered.
“It feels different each time,” Mo Mo replied with a smirk, already thinking about how to spice up their evening. After the livestream, maybe he could send the kids back into the space—it was much safer there, after all.
Mo Mo had everything planned. He transformed the training ground into a live broadcast room, clearing out everyone except for their family.
He started the live stream but didn’t immediately point the camera at Ye Mo and the kids in the training ground. Instead, he aimed it outside at the vast expanse of stars. “This is the second star system en route to the Beast Clan’s territory. Once we pass through here, we’ll have reached our destination.”
Netizens marveled at the sight of a distant planet.
“I’ve seen that planet through a telescope before! It looks so different up close.”
“Amazing! If there’s ever a travel route there, I’d love to visit the star system where General Mo is now.”
“Hey, I hear kids playing! General Mo, can we see the kids?”
“Show us the kids +1…”
“+2”
“We all want to see the kids! No need to keep adding, everyone wants to see!”
The live stream audience had shot up to over a million, nearing ten million as people kept joining.
Mo Mo panned the camera over to Ye Mo, who was playing with the children. Qianqian was nestled in her arms, giving orders like a little general, while Beibei was rolling around on the training ground, making everyone watching smile fondly.
“Is that Beibei rolling around? I remember Auntie saying the most active one is Beibei, and also the most mischievous.”
Ye Mo suddenly noticed Beibei getting too close to some equipment and called out, “Beibei, come back! It’s dangerous over there!”
Hearing her, Beibei immediately rolled back toward her, laughing all the way.
Meanwhile, Baobao was sitting cross-legged on the floor. Niuniu gave him a gentle push, and he spun around like a top before settling back into place.
The audience was baffled.
“Did I just see what I think I saw?”
“Looks like I saw it too!”
“He’s like a roly-poly doll! How does he do that?”
“No idea. Anyone wanna give him another push?”
In response to the viewers, Yueyue gave Baobao another push, and again, he spun around and returned to his upright position.
“I think I’m seeing things. Have I spent too much time online?”
“Come on, these screens don’t hurt your eyes at all.”
“I saw it too. The little guy spun around like a top and didn’t fall. I tried it myself, but no luck.”
“I couldn’t do it either. I tried and got a nasty bump. My head’s still spinning!”
Just then, Beibei rolled away from Ye Mo again at a very high speed, heading straight for a weapon rack next to it. Seeing that the weapon rack was about to fall down, Guaiguai ran over from somewhere, stretched out his hand to grab the rack, and then straightened the rack, looking at Beibei in a scolding manner, “Stay away from here!”
Beibei quickly rolled and crawled away from the shelf.
