The Billionaire’s Blind Bride
The Billionaire’s Blind Bride Chapter 143

Chapter 143 : Raisinga child

Fu Sichan poured himself a glass of water, feeling increasingly uneasy.

In the past, the little girl would sit on the sofa waiting for him to come home. Even when she was so tired she could barely keep her eyes open, she would wait for him.

But now?

It was barely past ten o’clock, and she was already asleep?

They say that over time, the passion in a marriage fades and couples become more like family.

But they had been married for less than a year, and already the little girl seemed so indifferent, what would it be like in the future?

The frown on Fu Sichan’s forehead could practically squash a fly.

Lu Yunyao was sleeping soundly when suddenly a large warm body lay beside her.

She instinctively hugged the warmth and pressed her body closer.

Fu Sichan’s breath hitched.

He originally just wanted to hold his wife while they slept.

But since she had snuggled up to him first, he couldn’t really blame himself.

Fu Sichan gently pinched her chin and leaned in to kiss her.

In her drowsy state, Lu Yunyao felt like she was soaking in a hot spring, the water almost covering her head.

Why was the air around her getting so thin?

She was almost out of breath.

Unconsciously, Lu Yunyao murmured and pushed forward slightly, finally able to breathe fresh air.

But soon, the suffocating feeling returned.

Every time she thought she might be drowning, she would come up for air, gasping.

It felt like there was an unruly big fish in the hot spring, always trying to crowd her legs.

……

The next day, Lu Yunyao walked awkwardly, trying not to rub her legs.

“Yaoyao what happened to you?” her friend asked with concern.

Lu Yunyao’s face turned red. “It’s nothing, just a leg cramp while sleeping last night. It hurts a bit.”

“Sit down and rest for a while. We still have P.E. later. What are you going to do?”

“I’ll talk to the teacher and see if I can get a leave.”

When the teacher arrived, Lu Yunyao used her period as an excuse and successfully obtained a leave.

Normally, this teacher was very strict and rarely granted leave, insisting on continued exercise even if students were unwell.

But she was especially lenient with Lu Yunyao, probably because she found the little girl cute and easy to relate to, like her own daughter.

Lu Yunyao sat on the lawn, watching her classmates run and throw shot put.

Her thoughts drifted back to that morning.

When she woke up with leg pain, she immediately knew the culprit was Fu Sichan.

As she hobbled into the living room, intending to confront him, she found herself on the receiving end of blame instead.

“Mr, how could you do this? You’re being unreasonable!”

He had taken advantage of her deep sleep to act sneakily.

Fu Sichan was going too far!

Lu Yunyao couldn’t stop her face from burning with embarrassment as she recalled how deeply she had slept, only to feel like there were fish bothering her in her dreams.

So that was what her dream meant!

Fu Sichan showed no signs of guilt, maintaining his usual cold and aloof demeanor.

“What’s wrong?”

“You— You know yourself!” she stammered.

Fu Sichan lifted her onto his lap. “Didn’t you say you’d give me a child? Are you backing out now?”

Lu Yunyao was momentarily at a loss for words.

She moved her lips, whispering, “I didn’t say it would be right now.”

“Conceiving a child doesn’t always happen on the first try.”

Implying that starting preparations now wasn’t too soon.

Lu Yunyao’s face turned crimson.

She suddenly felt that her “seat” was becoming quite warm.

The little girl’s mouth was agape, as if she could fit an egg in it.

Doesn’t Mr. need any rest at all?

Lu Yunyao struggled to get away but was held by the shoulders and gently pressed back down.

“Sit still and eat your breakfast.”

Lu Yunyao squirmed, “I’m afraid someone might see us.”

“The nanny has already left. Don’t worry, no one will see.”

Hearing this, Lu Yunyao felt less resistance in her heart.

She obediently sat on Fu Sichan’s lap, her little legs swinging back and forth.

Fu Sichan fed her with a spoon, one mouthful at a time.

He actually enjoyed this nurturing process quite a bit.

Watching the little girl go from being frail and lonely to having some healthy flesh on her body gave him a deep sense of accomplishment.

This sense of achievement was even greater than what he got from work.

Lu Yunyao took a bite of seafood porridge and said in a delicate voice, “Mr, I’m not a baby. I can eat by myself.”

“I don’t have experience with children, so I’m practicing in advance.”

This reason successfully persuaded Lu Yunyao.

So let Mr treat her like a baby and practice for now.

When they eventually have their own child, she believed that Mr would make a wonderful father.

……

Lu Yunyao’s thoughts returned to the present.

The sun was warm and pleasant on the playground, making it very comfortable.

As Lu Yunyao relaxed here, Yao Xuan’er and her little followers couldn’t resist coming over to mock her.

“Look who it is, Miss Lu! Just under a year into school and you’ve transformed from a wild chicken into a golden phoenix? Impressive.”

“She must be overjoyed, bumping into the Lu family’s madam, finally changing her fate.”

“I heard Miss Lu is already married. Does your husband treat you badly?”

“Maybe your husband is just after your family background and doesn’t actually think much of you. Otherwise, why have you never mentioned him?”

Lu Yunyao was initially disinclined to respond to these people, but their comments became increasingly excessive.

These individuals just couldn’t stand seeing others doing well; their discomfort at others’ happiness was almost greater than if they had died.

If that’s the case, then she would deliberately not comply with their wishes!

In front of them, Lu Yunyao opened her small backpack.

Inside were various expensive nutritional supplements, luxury jewelry, healthy snacks made by Aunt Liu, and dolls that cost four figures.

The jewelry was all bought by Mr yesterday.

He insisted on compensating her with a mountain of gifts because he felt he had neglected her due to his busy work schedule.

Lu Yunyao had packed several pieces into her backpack. There was still a large portion of gifts at home that she hadn’t unpacked yet.

She hadn’t planned to wear the jewelry, but didn’t want to disappoint Mr’s good intentions, so she packed them in her bag.

Unexpectedly, someone came looking for trouble.

“Oh dear, my husband is so insistent on buying me so many things.”

Lu Yunyao was wearing five necklaces around her neck and ten rings on her fingers. The diamonds almost blinded Yao Xuan’er!

The little girl was drinking nutritional supplements customized by an overseas medical team, with white milk stains at the corners of her mouth, looking pure and adorable.

The snacks made by Aunt Liu were healthy and low-fat, won’t cause weight gain, and are not available for purchase elsewhere.

“What are you saying? My husband is after my family background? Not at all. Even before I returned to the Lu family, my husband had already married me.”

“Just because you can’t find someone who genuinely cares for you doesn’t mean everyone else is as miserable as you.”

Lu Yunyao had read hundreds of novels about family disputes.

She could certainly deliver some sharp remarks.

Although she wouldn’t normally speak this way, if it’s to irritate others, she’d make it as cutting as possible.

Yao Xuan’er and her little followers were left with red eyes!

Even Yao Xuan’er wouldn’t splurge on such brands of jewelry and could only look at them wistfully.

This cheap woman, Lu Yunyao, had casually pulled out so many items?

For a moment, they didn’t know whether to envy Lu Yunyao for the Lu family’s pampering or for her wealthy and generous husband.

In any case, everyone around her treated her like a little princess.

Even the strictest teachers showed her leniency.

While they were gasping for breath and nearly breaking their legs running laps, Lu Yunyao was lounging comfortably on the lawn as if she were on vacation.

What kind of charm did she possess that made everyone like her?
