The Villain’s Family Favorite Little Sweetheart Chapter 12: The Feel of a Head

“Yuanyuan, do you want to watch TV?” Yu Mingxi asked, pressing the remote. The massive screen flickered to life, showing a dog that was bigger than her.

The dog was running, and it looked like it could leap out of the screen at any moment. Terrified, Yuanyuan shuddered and burrowed into Yu Mingxi’s arms.

“Yuanyuan is scared,” she whimpered, hiding her little head under her brother’s arm and squeezing her eyes shut. “Yuanyuan doesn’t dare to watch.”

“Alright, we won’t watch,” Yu Mingxi said with a laugh, turning off the TV. He then asked gently, “Can you tell brother how you found Dad after seeing him on TV?”

“While watching TV, Teacher Li and the others said that Daddy’s company was nearby. On my way, I asked a lot of kind uncles, aunties, and older brothers and sisters for directions. They showed me the way,” Yuanyuan explained proudly, puffing up her small chest. “And then, at the crossroads, I even smelled Daddy’s scent! That’s when I knew for sure!”

Yu Jinxiao chuckled at her response, “You smelled me? Are you a dog?”

Curled up in Yu Mingxi’s arms, the little girl reached out to gently scratch at Yu Jinxiao’s arm. Her touch was soft and delicate. “Yuanyuan is a kitty! A little kitty spirit!!”

“Right, right, Yuanyuan is an adorable little kitty,” Yu Mingxi said, chuckling as he patted her head.

This gesture seemed to work wonders for Yuanyuan, who leaned into his hand like a content kitten, her small head snuggling into his palm.

Yu Yingze, sitting nearby with his arms crossed and a disdainful expression, squinted his eyes, pretending to be indifferent. However, he couldn’t help but sneak glances at them.

Yuanyuan’s messy, fluffy hair made her head look extra soft. Every time their brother patted her, she would squint her eyes in delight, just like the cute kittens he’d seen in videos online.

Plus, ever since their brother’s hand had landed on her head, he hadn’t stopped petting it.

Does it really feel that nice? Yu Yingze thought.

He unconsciously clenched his fists, growing curious about what Yuanyuan’s head felt like.

“Yuanyuan, why don’t you sit here on the couch for a bit while brother goes and gets you something to eat, okay?” Yu Mingxi gently lifted Yuanyuan from his lap and carefully placed her on the couch.

Obedient as always, Yuanyuan nodded and sat quietly, her little legs sticking out straight from the edge of the couch because they were too short. She rested her hands on her knees, looking especially well-behaved and adorable.

Yu Mingxi exchanged a look with his father, and the tall and short pair of father and son headed off to the kitchen together, whispering quietly to one another.

The housekeeper went back to her duties, leaving Yu Yingze and Yuanyuan alone in the living room.

Finally! His chance had arrived!

Yu Yingze, trying to act casual, shuffled closer to the sofa, slowly positioning himself behind Yuanyuan. He made sure to stand far enough back to avoid being noticed, all while keeping his eyes on her.

Yuanyuan, for her part, was completely engrossed in watching their father and older brother in the kitchen, her eyes wide and focused like a little doll.

Perfect. She hadn’t noticed anything.

Yu Yingze held his breath, his hand slowly rising, creeping closer and closer to the top of Yuanyuan’s head.

Yuanyuan shivered unexpectedly.

Why does it feel like something’s buzzing around my head?

Yu Yingze’s devilish hand hovered just above her head for a moment before he finally let it fall. With a swift, precise motion, he ruffled her hair twice before quickly pulling his hand back.

Yuanyuan blinked in confusion, her brain taking a second to catch up. She looked up, puzzled, and asked, “Second brother, did you just touch my head?”

Yu Yingze, his expression calm and collected, denied it immediately, “I didn’t.”

“But… but I really felt someone touch my head,” Yuanyuan said, looking around. “And you’re the only one close to me.”

“I told you, it wasn’t me!” Yu Yingze insisted, a mischievous smirk spreading across his face. “Maybe… it was a ghost!”

“A ghost?!” Yuanyuan gasped, clutching her cheeks in horror.
