Fu Yunshen casually said, “It’s fine, Mom. Look how happily it’s eating.”
I’m not, I didn’t do it! The white cat immediately withdrew its fluffy head, moved away from the plate, and lay down on the table in a dramatic pose, softly meowing in distress, “Meow, meow…” This person is trying to poison me, wuwuwu!
Seeing this, Old Madam Fu glared at Fu Yunshen and said, “Look, the cat is not feeling well. Hurry up and take it to the vet.” She moved to pick up the cat.
However, as she reached for the white cat, it suddenly jumped up and hopped far away from her.
Old Madam Fu: “???” Is this cat a drama queen?
Fu Yunshen chuckled softly and said, “It’s still lively and jumpingaround, isn’t it?”
“The cute cat just won’t let her hold it,” the old Mrs. Fu said with disappointment. “Although this cat is affectionate towards you, do you understand how to take care of a cat? Cats shouldn’t eat spicy foods like chili peppers or ginger and garlic. These can destroy their red blood cells and cause hemolysis, and their digestive system can’t handle it either. It might be eating less now, and it looks fine, but you should still take it to a vet.”
“Yes, I understand, Mom,” Fu Yunshen said, not bothering to argue with her. After all, Yu Zhou turning into a cat was too fantastical; he knew about it himself.
“Alright then, make sure to research proper cat care.” Mrs. Fu said no more, knowing that her son managed the entire Fu family and surely wouldn’t let a cat die on his watch.
After Mrs. Fu left, Fu Yunshen beckoned the cat with his finger and said, “Jiao Jiao, keep eating.”
However, Yu Zhou refused to eat no matter what. This was the first time it was eating since turning into a cat, and it didn’t know what it could or couldn’t eat. It was genuinely afraid it might be poisoned. So, it pawed at Fu Yunshen’s trouser leg, meowing, hoping Fu Yunshen would take it to the vet.
However, Fu Yunshen refused, saying, “It’s okay, Jiao Jiao.”
“Meow meow!” There’s something wrong! I’m going to die!
Yu Zhou felt that Fu Yunshen was too indifferent. Shouldn’t one be extremely concerned and attentive if a cat eats the wrong thing? Why could he still sit there eating calmly? He has no heart!
After Yu Zhou scratched at Fu Yunshen’s trouser leg for a while with no reaction from him, Yu Zhou finally felt disappointed: Was this still the brave boy who once jumped into the river to save him? No! He wasn’t! He was a murderer who would poison a cat!
The white cat turned around, gracefully leaping onto the windowsill, and glanced back at Fu Yunshen, meowing, “Meow~” I’m leaving, I’m going to see the doctor!
To Yu Zhou’s surprise, Fu Yunshen said, “Goodbye, Jiao Jiao. Come back soon.”
Yu Zhou immediately jumped off the building, of course, using various windowsills and roofs to help him descend from the second floor, then quickly ran out of the Fu residence.

Fu Yunshen watched the white cat disappear and leisurely finished his dinner.
…
Late at night, Fu Yunshen felt a furry, warm little creature burrowing into his bed. The little thing was shivering next to him. He woke up and called out, “Jiao Jiao.”
Yu Zhou meowed, “Meow-wu~” Not only had it failed to find a vet, but it had also encountered real wild cats. It was so terrifying!
Fu Yunshen got up, turned on the bedside lamp, and lifted the blanket to reveal a dirty cat. He said, “Aren’t cats usually clean? How did you get so dirty?”
Yu Zhou kicked a bit and stared with its watery cat eyes, meowing, “Meow!” Who doesn’t like cleanliness! Is there anyone more fastidious than me? It’s clearly you, the incompetent litter scooper.
Fu Yunshen carried Yu Zhou to the bathroom and cleaned it up again, saying, “Next time you get dirty and crawl into the bed, you’ll have to groom yourself.”
Yu Zhou froze. Could it really use its tongue to clean off such dirty fur? It seemed that it couldn’t live without a litter scooper in its cat life.
So, it finally became sensible, placing its paws on the edge of the sink and meowing obediently, “Meow~” You need to take responsibility for me.
But the whole cat remained in a state of sorrow, feeling like it was a cat that ate the wrong food and was left untreated by its litter scooper.
After the bath, Fu Yunshen placed the white cat into the cozy bed prepared by the servant. The white cat huddled pitifully into a ball, burying its head in solitude, thinking maybe by tomorrow, it would be just a cold, lifeless cat.
However, Fu Yunshen patted the cat’s head and said, “Jiao Jiao, sleep well. You need to get up and go to work.”
“Meow?” Yu Zhou was baffled. Why does a cat need to go to work?
“Wake up at seven. We’ll have breakfast together.”
Seven o’clock?! Yu Zhou’s fur stood on end! It was a pampered cat! Why was being a cat even more painful than being a person? It had to wake up early too?
…
The next morning, Yu Zhou, feeling uncomfortable in the cat bed, woke up early with its pretty cat eyes.
“Meow~” Huh? I’m not dead?
It got out of the cat bed and happily stretched its body. It turned out eating spicy rabbit didn’t hurt! Could it eat whatever it wanted from now on?
At this time, Fu Yunshen also got up. When Yu Zhou saw him, it meowed and, right in front of him, gave the cat bed a swipe with its paw, making a flipping motion. Since the cat bed was a temporary purchase, “Princess and the Pea” Jiao Jiao naturally wasn’t used to it.
Fu Yunshen actually understood. While tying his tie, he said, “I’ll get you a luxurious cat villa after you finish work.”
Yu Zhou tilted its head in confusion. What does going to work mean? How does a cat go to work?
For breakfast, Fu Yunshen also dined in the living room. Besides his usual breakfast, he had the servant bring a caramel latte, a milk pudding, and a strawberry mousse. Yu Zhou loved sweets, and these were treats he loved but couldn’t usually enjoy.
When Yu Zhou saw these foods, it immediately jumped onto the table with joy. Why did the litter scooper only give it the foods it loved?
Fu Yunshen and Yu Zhou finished breakfast across the long table.
As the servant came to clear the dishes, they noticed the white cat eagerly licking the caramel latte from the cup and seemingly finishing off the milk pudding. Unable to resist, the servant reminded Fu Yunshen, “Sir… Cats can’t digest lactose. Drinking milk can cause diarrhea. Is your cat alright?”
Yu Zhou froze again. “Meow?” It had consumed such a large amount. It was fine eating spicy rabbit, but milk… could it really handle it?
As the servant cleared the empty dishes, they were secretly alarmed. Although the sir was exceptional in many ways, his care for the cat seemed a bit too casual. Would this cat really be okay after consuming so many dairy products? What if it ended up with diarrhea or something worse?
The servant suggested, “Sir, why don’t you go to work first? I can take your cat to the vet.”
Fu Yunshen wiped the milk stains from the cat’s mouth, picked it up, and said, “No need. It’s coming to work with me.”
“Meow-wu!” Yu Zhou looked at the servant with a pitiful expression from Fu Yunshen’s arms, desperately hoping for help. Was its litter scooper really trying to poison it?
Although the servant was concerned about the cat’s condition, they didn’t dare go against Fu Yunshen’s wishes. They simply said, “Alright, sir,” and left with the dishes.
Now, only Yu Zhou remained in Fu Yunshen’s arms, kicking its legs in frustration. Woe is me, Fu Yunshen is a devil when it comes to taking care of cats!
…
Fu Yunshen brought the white cat to work, having already arranged for a cat’s supplies and even a special desk in his office.
He placed the cat on the desk and asked his secretary, “Have all the investment projects for the next quarter from Huan Yu been brought over?” Although managing Huan Yu’s projects was beyond his usual scope, he figured since Yu Zhou was here, he might as well get involved.
“Yes, sir,” the secretary replied, placing a stack of project documents neatly.
Fu Yunshen said to the white cat, “Come on, Jiao Jiao, choose one.”
The secretary was bewildered. “???” Wasn’t the sir a staunch Marxist? What was this sudden turn towards superstition?
Yu Zhou was equally confused. “???” Is this what you meant by going to work? This is truly hardcore work! It’s just a cat! Even when it was a person, it had never dealt with project documents.
No matter how confused both Fu Yunshen and the cat were, Fu Yunshen remained calm and told the secretary, “You can go ahead and work.”
He arranged the project documents on the desk and said to the white cat, “Jiao Jiao, your salary will be your luxurious cat villa.”
Yu Zhou, in indignation, meowed, “Meow!” I’m Jiao Jiao, not your underling to be exploited!
However, Fu Yunshen ignored Yu Zhou’s protests and left the cat there while he continued working on his own tasks.
The white cat flicked its tail and walked around the desk. Its gaze fell on the titles on the covers of the project documents. A few familiar names piqued its interest, and eventually, it couldn’t resist using its little paws to flip through the papers.
Fu Yunshen glanced at the white cat before looking away. Yu Zhou had a small studio under his name, established by his father initially to serve Yu Zhou alone. As Yu Zhou’s career grew, the studio also started signing other artists.
Yu Zhou’s focus was solely on acting. The studio handled script selection and scheduling. Despite his arrogant and pampered demeanor, he was very serious and professional about his work, turning even the most mundane roles into memorable performances.
However, in reality, while Yu Zhou’s studio did make money from the projects he was involved in, the investments in other projects all failed. The other artists under the studio relied entirely on Yu Zhou’s support and none of them became successful. The studio’s overall performance was abysmal. Yet, despite this, the studio remained profitable thanks to Yu Zhou.
In the original storyline, shortly after Yu Zhou turned into a cat, his father’s small company faced a financial crisis. They were forced to sell Yu Zhou’s studio for money, which included selling Yu Zhou’s contract to others, leaving him in a difficult situation.
Ultimately, the studio changed hands several times before being acquired by Fu’s Corporation, leading to a complicated series of events involving Fu Yunshen and Yu Zhou.
So now, Yu Zhou should really learn how to pick projects. How could a studio of such a popular star be making less profit than even a fraction of Huan Yu’s?
Yu Zhou struggled for a long time, but by noon, it finally selected a project it was satisfied with. The cat was completely exhausted. It patted the project document with its paw and meowed at Fu Yunshen.
Fu Yunshen picked up the document, reviewed it again, and raised an eyebrow in appreciation. “Jiao Jiao chose well.”
He made a few notes on the document, signed it, and called the secretary in. “Have Huan Yu make this their key project for the next quarter.”
The secretary took the document and glanced at the cat, feeling somewhat bewildered. Was this really a key project chosen by a cat? It seemed rather unreliable.
Yu Zhou, noticing the secretary’s doubtful gaze, proudly lifted its chin and stared back with a regal look. “Meow-wu!” What are you looking at? A project chosen by a Three Gold Award-winning actor can’t be wrong!
The secretary was left dumbfounded by the white cat’s expressive demeanor. Had this cat become a spirit?
After assigning this task, Fu Yunshen asked his assistant to prepare lunch and also requested a milk tea.
Upon hearing the words “milk tea,” Yu Zhou suddenly remembered the large amount of dairy it had consumed that morning and seemed to be fine.
“Meow~” Milk tea! I’m good to go again!
